There are 85,000 missing children that came across the US boarder in the last year. Nobody talks about that. Our country still has a big hand in slavery.

No decent person in any church or community is okay with sexual abuse of children.

I’m in the middle here. I’m just curious, why aren’t we more worried about the children. I don’t really care about Ballard or the actors or anyone. I’m just worried about the children being trafficked. I’m a law student and I’ve learned that The stats are not going to ever be accurate because its just an unreported issue. Ballard isn’t depicting children getting snatched up off the street. He’s showing children in Latin America being put into a system of trafficking and being sold. I’m also curious why you guys keep saying “white suburban girl” being kidnapped or “perfect children” being kidnapped. Shouldn’t we be worried about ALL and ANY children being kidnapped? Any child being trafficked is awful……. PS I’m not right wing, I just want to save children.

If Tim Ballard sincerely wants to help. Let him use his millions to help the children and wives of the FLDS. A perfect example of sex trafficking, considering the Lost boys are part of this unbelievable situation. I can't believe this is still happening in 2023.I was so pleased that Warren Jeff's was imprisoned. It didn't stop it though. I live in Idaho and in 1977 I gave birth to a daughter in Rexburg. My doctor LaVar Withers, inappropriately touched and fondled me. I learned years later that the church members and authorities, covered up for him. He molested over 500 women. It went to trial and he was convicted, but I don't think he saw a day in jail. So many ways, women are degraded. I'm surprised that doctors story hasn't come out on a podcast.

I was sucked in , i saw the PR of this days before the release of the film by Mel Gibson then that took me to operation toussaint and i was floored in tears for the babies almost vomiting more than usual in anger, i was in awe of TB and the team , i immediately asked what i could do to help , thanked them and followed them across all socials , posted and sent the documententary to all my WA ! The next day a couple of my good reasearchers and compassionate about the world sent me a couple of bits of information about TB passed and maybe this cant be trusted 100% due to these alarming facts about his criminal past, regarding the accidents and 'unalived' suspicious sudden deaths from others in the public eye whom was exposing this information , why is this particular Team and documentary allowed! I absolutely am so grateful for people that do genuinely do this work to save children from evil and i wish the rumours are untrue bcoz ive been heart broken at the thought that weve been manipulated again by the media ! Lynn Packer's investigatory reporting shows Tim to be a liar. Tim can't keep a story straight. Now with his predatory behavior coming to light, I can understand why LDS inc wants distance.

I appreciate the relativistic, big-picture look at the topic of human trafficking here, but uhh... nobody denies all the other facets of human trafficking, while the things that happened to the kids in Sound of Freedom do actually happen. If you're gonna take relativism all the way, you're gonna have to question the validity of the citations you use, the gathered data and statistics, etc., and at the end of the day you can only trust your own judgment if you're going to be honest with yourself. As a social worker for the past 30 years, i could not have said it better. I am profoundly grateful for your macro approach and understanding of this painful reality that is so complicated with tangled levels of poverty, racism and colonialism to mention a few entanglements. Ballard is profiting off this horrific reality and needs to be shut down. There are reputable organizations that understand the complexity of the issues and they need our donation. When they started talking about Joseph Smith married and having sex with underage girls, it reminded me of what my mother did to me. I was 14 1/2 my mother and my first husband concocted some scheme and they got me to go to St. George Utah and my mother forced me to marry him because it’s legal there but then she wouldn’t let me move out of the house I had to stay there and since I was never married and wasn’t going to school. I was going to clean the house. I did everything except for cooking because I couldn’t cook and I have never heard of such a thing. This was back in 1989. He then ended up beating me so bad that I almost died back then we had water beds if you’ve never heard of one look it up, but he wedged in my face in between the wood frame and the waterbed mattress itself, and he tried to smother me, and then he did a few other things, but I almost died, luckily by the grace of God, I was able to get away from that man I had him arrested and then he got out and did the same thing to a friend of mine. She didn’t believe he would do that to her. She only thought it was me because we were married and I told her I said once that type of person doesn’t like that they’re always going to do that and to this day he’s in prison for getting hot selling drugs. Luckily when you’re in Vegas, you can get a divorce in two weeks so I haven’t been married to that man in a very long time I have to say that was probably the hardest thing I ever went through.

Tim Ballard is solving a horrific issue based on his strengths and resources available to him. He is also raising awareness so that other people may share their strengths and resources. He is not able to solve social and political issues. His organization do some empowerment and rehabilitation of these vulnerable children. This critical nit picking of people who actually do the work is just a reflection of envy and malice from outside sources. If you are not the solution don't be part of the problem.

I am a survivor of domestic minor sex trafficking in the US, child abuse, and CSAM(child abuse materials). I was born into generational abuse. my grandfather was LDS and an elder in the church. he started abusing me before I was 2. I was taken from him after my grandmother died at 5. I was 6 yrs old and in kindergarten when I was first sold to a man in a motel. my trafficker was my mother and her boyfriend. I was 7 when they first used me in CSAM(child abuse materials). I ran away at 15 finishing the 10th grade as a homeless teen. I have worked in the anti-trafficking movement for over a decade. I am considered an HT Expert. I have worked with over 400 victims of trafficking. I developed sustainable treatment options for victims of HT. I train LE and others on HT. I have worked on legislation on HT and helped to get bills passed into law. I also developed an age-appropriate curriculum for schools 6th grade -high school on trafficking child abuse CSAM and online safety. I work with other survivor leaders all over the US and in other countries. I have worked with The Polaris Project Office of Victims of Crimes, Homeland Security, Thorn, and others. I also take in minors who have been trafficked. I met Tim Ballard in 2014 and again in 2015 when I was speaking at a summit on trafficking. in 2016 I reached out to OUR for help with aftercare for 4 survivors of trafficking. that is when I learned more about the inflated numbers of "rescues" and victims they were using to raise money! In 2019 they brought in 21 million! Tim Ballard and OUR are not at all what they seem! I have learned many things about them both over the years doing the work I do and also have first-hand experiences with Tim and OUR. Thank you for putting this out! it's ALL about Money FOR THEM not about HT or the victims. in fact, the human trafficking experts I work with have had meetings on OUR. Honestly, they are dangerous. They are not trauma-informed and they revictimize and retraumatize. I'll never forget Tim taking a picture with me ...standing next to the "survivor" and feeling like ...I was being used for his profit! His ego is HUGE

How innocent you are.... I hope. I am an atheist but work with CR victims. My heart breaks for these kids every day, whether they know their attacker or not. My heart breaks for their families who could not protect them. I am blessed to have been well cared for as a child but we do need to talk about what is happening, we do need to open our eyes and hearts to protect all children. If this stuff does not draw tears I don't know what to say.

Thank you for this video. I had a suspicion Tim Ballard was not authentic. I was looking into information, and you really gave me some. The issue of human and child trafficking is serious and the last thing we need is a false hero.

So when I worked for salt lakes Comic-Con I met a producer that introduced me to OUR That was working on their first documentary and has since removed his affiliation. And I'm friends with the wife of one of the main guys part of the rescues initially. Her husband left along with many others because of obviously things that you guys have ran into. But so much more that you all don't even know... Thanks for putting this out as I'm sure the backlash will be fun. But they are really corrupt and they need to be called out.

I saw a very strong believing Mormon friend of mine post a meme that showed the picture of a little girl holding a gun that said something along the lines of, children should learn to protect themselves. To this I responded that children should not be responsible for protecting themselves, especially since they are no match for any kind of adult that wants to do them harm. He agreed but figuratively shook his head and said that it was unfortunate that such a thing is necessary nowadays, especially since there is so much indoctrination. Which is absolutely insane to me that it would be an honestly held belief. So in response I asked if he could tell me who is posing such a harrowing threat to children and in what way these children were being indoctrinated. He refused to answer except with a link to a 90 minute long interview with Jordan Peterson. It astounded me.

The details are important and relevant. The part you're missing the most towards the end of your video is that those guys (LDS pretending to be missionaries, and OUR using bait tactics) those are all classic behaviors, tactics, and trains of motion to the older LDS church culture pre 2000. Those still carrying those ways, are truly sheltered using that shelter as a 'foundation of strength' in their own projection functional fiction bubble and egocentric fantasy. They may speak normal and appear to interact parallelly with others, but when you do a reality check or an operation check, those guys are checked out and only believe in the enigmatic line of drama with however they are egotistically aligning the motion of events as a part of their own illusionary perception and domain. Getting a talk to someone in real terms usually gets those sorts of men/women to feel singled out and 'egotistically bruised'. They often don't understand their own emotions. They have their minds only operate by their old conventional ways and upbringing of how the church composed 'right' or 'spirit' and if anything is outside of their ego fantasy control they tend to lash out EXTREMELY aggressively for simply someone not taking their emotional baiting or someone exercises more thought in how they plan/ secure details. They get very hot headed and have extremely short attention spans to anything outside of their own conditioned 'right'. They are conditioned by the old church culture to perceive the agenda and shape of issues on the real world are the only perceptions to uphold and often to 'take right' by building 'their own belief of right' directly in the front with their ego. You will see ALOT of weird thinking and behaviors in that realm that I mention, one that may be more apparent to this issue, is that constituents of such a group would believe down to reality that sin and evil are actual tangible substances and quantities than do they understand choices, environments, influences, circumstances, and dynamics. To prove their own egocentric bubble is more right or truer to have more moral authority or for that matter more social presences to be recognized they WILL instigate matters on their own terms in order to win more people to the plight of their own synthesized deterministic 'right' than to actually do any good thing. Once they get a presence or a following, they believe they must climb through influence and establish more of their own 'right', then also reward themselves immensely because of the 'right' or influence following they create. OUR sounds like if anything, got passively Mormonized by the flow of ego, emotion, and 'power' to behave in the same ways and hubris as the old church influenced organizations before 2000. Those individuals get so caught up in their own 'side' of 'right', it's nearly impossible to break them out of their own 'train' of egotistical thought and realize that they are not creating any 'right'. Rather, they are asserting themselves in their own sense of prominence to be the new glory and authority of 'right'. Those sorts of power players are dangerous. They tend to be very unhinged, volatile, and they go after anyone tenaciously speaking against their behaviors in order to win them under their own influence of synthesized 'right'. Aftercare, and humanism is far from their understanding. Typically, they will assume their own self-empowerment, warmth vibe, and 'smile' to the kid is enough. That explanation is not an assumption, it's very endemic to the old power behaviors and humanitarianism of pre 2000 LDS church. People in that influence often believe 'power stance' and getting a kid out of culturally dogmatic influenced 'unsafe' spaces are 'saving a kid', but they have no real aspects to connect or to understand aftercare. That social side of them is extremely under-developed and they only drawback to however they see and divide 'right' and 'wrong' in the wedge of their either own psychosis or their own whacked out reality in their own bubble. As per you explaining the strip bars, beaches, slums, etc, those behaviors are again very endemic to the old LDS ways. Those older behaviors are more prevalent in older leaders, influencers, some Annointed, and more so in the UO members. They don't really uphold or believe in a morality to a right way of knowing things entirely. They only believe 'right' on their own plane of egocentrism, 'right' to how they manipulate the 'plight' they believe, and they assume privilege is blessed in the strength of their own centrism to give into excused hypocritical duplicitous hubris behaviors. They take their own duplicity, and then they build new heights and oversights to assume they know greater or know better by how convinced people are to buy into them and/or how empowered they redefine themselves to become. Ultimately you see a lot of nescience with understanding anything that they are doing, and then you get stuck in the whirlpool of their own rabbit hole of how they believe their world should work. Alot of whacky quackery, glory worshipping, ego baiting, and 'side' division pushing to devise a rule of will under their arrogance, ignorance, and quackery. If at all... If you explain aspects of humanity to them to implement aftercare, they'll see it as an obligation of a weaker person to give warmth to another, or they'll see it as a waste of time and resources. Their head is completely stuck in their own synthesized space, fictional space, and success scheme. It may look like narcissism, but it's not exactly that, and a lot of old programming to an older more bull-headed culture in the past. I would be VERY CONCERNED leaving a child's well-being in that influence of behaviors. If they shape a kid back to their own cultured ways, that kid can either get their own emotions and sense of purpose pretty warped or if someone in those behaviors loses their patience...well in my upbringing growing up in that sh*t, those individuals often DO NOT handle well to have any control over their own impulsive behaviors, even as something small like frustration or personal contempt.

Just watched the first 10-15 minutes and I already have big questions: (1) The U.S. Department of State website estimates that there are 27.6 million people being trafficked (labor, sex, etc.) at any given time. Why are you claiming that Ballard inflated the number when you're comparing 24k DETECTED victims with his 20 million ESTIMATED victims? These numbers aren't in conflict with each other. If anything, Ballard gave a lower estimate than the U.S. Dept of State. (2) Why are you connecting the Sound of Freedom movie with the stereotype from the movie Taken...because that narrative (snagging white children) didn't play out AT ALL in Sound of Freedom. And the movie was based off actual events involving all non-white kids with some of the actual footage of the island raid in the movie. (3) I think Mormonism is a cult, so I'm not defending what they believe, but there are different sects of Mormonism and those that practice polygamy are pretty fringe and the practice has not been allowed in the main denomination since the late 1800s. Did you know that, or do you think all Mormons accept and/or practice polygamy? It might be good for you to do a motive check. Saying that you're against human trafficking but then trying to dismantle what is probably the single most impactful vehicle for bringing awareness of the problem to the public makes it seem like you're talking out of both sides of your mouth. I didn't bother watching the rest after all those missteps.

I don't want to put words in anyone's mouth but I have encountered this attitude in mormon and christian conservatism where it's like "X problem will always exist because it comes from Satan and as long as Satan exists, so will this problem." So it's like even if they can identify something as a systemic issue, there's always an argument against trying improve things. Yes we live in an imperfect world but that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to make it better. Raiding human trafficking hidey holes or whatever does do some good and it is important to try to help victims, but people will continue to suffer unless we allocate some resources to fixing the systemic issues.

It´s not O.U.R´S film. It´s an Eduardo Verastegui production distributed by Angel Studios. The producer met Tim Ballard and was so inspired by his work and appalled at the reality that he made the film to bring awareness about this problem and to stop it.

Has anyone seen that movie about human trafficking that the lead of the (Christian) band For King and Country released a few years ago? I only saw it once but I think I remember that it centered on impoverished immigrants being trafficked. I thiiink the lead woman in the story fell into being trafficked while attempting to cross the border to America?

I studied this topic extensively in my Deviant Behavior Sociology class last semester, reading sociological studies, watching interviews with victims, policies, and looking at victim recovery groups. I wrote a paper on the topic, gave two presentations in class, etc. This is an old topic that continues to cause problems in our world. I feel like there needs to be better awareness about the problem and the best way to solve the problem. Thanks for covering this here!! You two are awesome!

Hey guys, I wanted to suggest something that I’ve noticed in a couple of your videos- there is a long, dark history of the word “prostitute” being used by law enforcement to dehumanize victims of violent crimes simply because of the occupation the sex workers had. As though because they are sex workers they should have seen it coming and their assault doesn’t matter because they gave up their human rights by selling sex. I know y’all have the best intentions, and unless you were really into true crime like me and know of the many stories about sex workers not being valued as they deserved, it would be hard to see the impact of using the word “prostitute” today. I just thought I would share, I love you both, keep up the good work ❤

I’m trying hard to understand why you’re both so focused on middle class angelic white children? If anything, I thought it was pretty evident a lot of the human trafficking is external and eventually ends up in the US. ?

It’s so funny because my friend went to go see this movie and I had no idea what it was. I looked up the trailer and saw all the rim Ballard mentions. I then find out that he’s the one who owns Underground Railroad, the one charity pushed in front of thousands every year at Funnel hacking live. Which is imo the largest digital marketing conferences. This isn’t a charity, this is a to catch a predator in action paid experience, disguised as a charity.

As a Jewish guy, Glenn Beck's Holocaust comparisons are laughable. I'm pretty careful about comparing things to the Holocaust, and I tend to use more generic terms like "fascist" or "genocidal" to describe things like Ron DeSantis' rhetoric about LGBT people or the Russian media's opinions on Ukraine. Which is not to say I never make the comparison - I just understand the weight that it holds.

Say what you will about Glen Beck, I like him so very much more than Tim Ballard. 1) He may always think the sky is falling, but at least he can have a sense of humor about it. He can be very funny indeed. All Tim manages is false sincerity and earnestness. Yeck. 2) Glen actually believes in his causes. He drank the Jim Birch Kool-aid. He may make money doing what he does, but he poured all of his own money into being able to do it the way he felt it needed to be done. And moved states away in part to be able to afford living on less. So, it really isn't a money grab for him. Tim, on the other hand, is all about the money. If he thought he could make payday by taking guided tours to the resting place of the Titanic, he would. It would be better for the children if he did! Because it is all about the money, not the results. 3) Right after Tim stepped down for as yet unspecified reasons from OUR, Glen fired him from his own Nazerene Project. Again, I get integrity from Glen, and smarmy used-car salesman from Tim. So, say what you will about him, I don't have to agree with him to, nonetheless, at least respect his integrity. I got nothing good to say about Tim.

I remember watching Taken when it first came out, and thought that was typical for how ppl. were sold into HT it wasn’t until I got older and realized the socio-economic factors that make vulnerable youth primed to become trafficked.

Just FYI - I didn't buy the conspiracy that theaters were sabotaging. But ... I went to see the movie at CMX and a few minutes in it stopped. Lights went up for about two minutes. Then went off and only sound was available for a couple of minutes. The problem was they were speaking Spanish at that point and we had no subtitles. We missed several minutes of footage and story setup. People were getting noisy and irritated, then film and sound came together. Perfect for the rest of the movie. We had to work to catch up and figure out what we had missed. So what was that? I've never had that in all my years of movie-going

Absolutely nothing you have said invalidates the film, Sound of Freedom. It is based on a true story which was Tim Ballard's first ever rescue of children (which incidentally were not middle-class or white - did you watch the film?). Prior to that, he had been solely focussed on arresting consumers of the material. You are taking the side of the perpetrators if you want a porous border because it does mean more trafficking.

It's so good to hear you calling this operation out. I confess I don't understand the complexity of this so called rescue operation of kidnapped or abused kids and it's heartening to see how seriously you discuss this situation to put it mildly. I fully understand as Samantha states, that those who lead legitimate charitable organisations ought to receive appropriate remuneration. However, I frequently baulk at the salaries the CEO's receive in comparison to those who do the leg work. From what I can gather, Ballard appears to have jumped onto a gravy train and so far, has done very well out of it and the political right in the US have bought into it. I despair when I hear talk of child kidnappings so that democrats and the "libs" can prolong their own lives by torturing children and drinking their blood to obtain adrenochrome. This is apparently obtained from the children's fear when they are being tortured so that the supposed torturers can achieve longevity. Somehow millions of people in the US believe this and thousands of people in the UK and in Europe , do too to my dismay. Of course, it's so incredulous and ridiculous. Sad to say that there's a significant number of LDS members who also believe this narrative. Will Nelson, the first presidency, council of the twelve and the seventies rebuke this nonsense? Not on your Nelly,.

You guys (and me) aren't safe from becoming corrupted or lost either... because we're selfish humans and we can slip at any time. I mean lets be real. No one in this planet is 100% righteous, patient, just, honest, and loving 24/7. We can do the best we can, but still can't reach moral perfection. That's just a reality. None of us can truly be "authentic." I mean if we're all morally perfect, then we wouldn't have any problems like trust issues, mental illness, human trafficking, etc. All I see is Tim Ballard doing the best he humanly can as an imperfect being with what skills he is given. And if you looked hard enough, you can see it by all his efforts and sacrifice. He might end up slipping because it does take an emotional, mental, and physical toll to do this work for 15 + yrs. Its not easy what he does. I just pray God gives him the strength to keep working on his character as well. And if he needs to be humbled, then I pray for God to humble him so that he becomes a better person. The better person he is, the more succesful he'll be in saving those kids. Criticizing is fine only if it's constructive and out of love and care... I think it would be beneficial if you guys messaged and gave solutions to his organization to better help those children, since they have the resources. And hope that Tim will grow and do well to take care himself, so he can save more kids.

Im sorry i dont believe that the whole situation with the parents being arrested and the kids being left alone was Anything but nefarious ly done deliberately and yes i will say it who is to say these people arent actually working with child traffickers ❤❤
