Lol no it's actually been downgraded pretty heavily. Just that Nick never spots the most important changes. Look at 3:28 at the grass models and at 1:50 at the tree, the tree's leaves, and the overall depth and lighting. The difference is night and day.

Max Khovansky err time of day is on the guy making the video. He could have waited for the lighting to be the same. In fact he has it reversed in his video. Alleyway is at sunset where it should be the plane at sunset. Midday at the plane where it should be midday in the alley. Throws it off.

But its still look worse than The Division (E3 2013)

@@Nick930 i would only presume it had to do with the model itself. Alphaed back, not textured on the other side, no physics, bad geometry, list could go on. For a tech demo I would only presume the back l didnt have a texture in the base and was moved to hide it, i have found a few assets in world that have no texture on the back, just a grey blocky mess or copied on the other side. I have yet to touch the snowdrop engine so I have no idea how it works. Perhaps one day when I learn French and apply for a game dev position.

@@felixfj007 i rather learn the publisher's language though, Ubisofts HQ is in France thus French. The studio however I was not fully aware of so that helps :( I just know my old Game dev professor told me he has a student who learned French just for a phone interview for ubisoft and landed the job.

Good time to be a gamer. Specially PC gamer: - Capcom shows that AAA Singleplayer games are relevant and successful. Also very good PC ports - MCC announced on PC - Ubisoft has been improving these last 3 years

Also can’t forget that Cyberpunk could quite literally be the best game of our time if comes out like we’ve been seeing so far

Not in all ways. Look at the dirt and grim textures on the police car in the E3 demo. It's totally gone from the retail version. The E3 textures look more accurate to what a car would probably look like sitting abandoned to the elements for months.

@@messiah2230 and on uplay as well. And for ubisoft games you need uplay account anyways, no mater if you have game on uplay or steam or same epic. So maybe some don't like uplay, but i don't mind it, as its like bnet, just for their published games. I have also Origin and Bethesda launcher, but i use them really rarely, and have been removed from startup in general.

the light effects are just as good in retail but have a different color palette. The retail version went with a far more photo realistic lighting.

Overall its just heavier post processing in the e3 version, which is performance heavy and compensated for via detailing and textures in retail.

I mean, they were (are) the WORST company at staying true to what they showed at e3. This is known: they’re liars, no shame. This video starts out by pointing out they removed an area from the e3 demo. They used to just downgrade textures. Now they do that, AND cut content. And y’all are like, “Ah! Much better!” Meanwhile EA is releasing AAA games for free (Apex) while updating game like Battlefield for free with maps that are 10x the size of the previous biggest Battlefield map, which was 10x the size of a usual cod map. Battlefield just released an update, for free, with 10 new vehicles, and a map that is as big as about ONE HUNDRED call of duty maps. Screw it, we’ll call it 75. For free. But y’all are like, “YES! Ubisoft only cut some of the content they promised!” Greedy EA amirite?

@@FUMoonMoney i got to say that you are very wrong, this was valid before 2016. Ubisoft has been trying to improve its reputation since then. Seriously, Ubisoft is a mediocre company, it isn't good nor bad. The reason why Apex is free because Respawn knew how to market the game, it's a spin-off titanfall br game. The game itself has a massive playerbase and doesn't cost nearly as much as making bigger AAA titles such as... well... titanfall 2. However, Division 2 is a much huger game withdense mechanics and gameplays so it cost a lot more to be made. $60 for free future content? Sound very nice. Btw the lighting in the reveal trailer looks better because it has a pinky tone so it looks more cinematic. However, the lighting in the real game is more realistic.
