It’s almost like Ubisoft had fired that “bullet sponge is a great idea” guy from Division 1 and then rehired him for Division 2 after other people quit or were fired from the Breakpoint fallout.
@@randymuwardani1599 Ubisoft promise a solution by implementing improvements on AI but instead they just increase all the states of all NPC and decrease players'. At the same time, the fewer player in the group, the harder the game.
This game has so much potential and could be so much more popular the communication between the ai is amazing and their reactions to different events is hands down the best feature yes there are spongy enemies but as time goes on it’s seems to get way easier
They definitely went way overboard with the NPC tuning. Loot quality is whack right now too. DZs being too small is one of my main complaints about it. They’re wayyy too small
The one problem this dlc has for me is the enemies are bullet sponges once again I remember this being a huge problem in the first division game and it was very annoying to deal with.
It's mainly because of Gear 2.0 also rolling out, messing up many builds. My friend has made a pretty nice dps build, but if you go back to farming and make a solid build its less so.
Not just the enemies but other players with the right builds and they know they cannot die and I've seen multiple videos where people cannot die from anyting you throw at him
I got to say the bullet sponge issue is on the main game as well. I went after a bounty in a character that not lvl 30 with a lmg with mods and lmg perks and it took forever to take down.
We all know the further exploration of New York, in summer, was what the sequel should always have been. D.C just can't compete. That said, if you've seen all there is in D2, and have been away for awhile, this is definitely worth a look. If you have content left to discover then it's really not worth the time or money...yet.
youwatch2muchtv In the division and warlords of New York: United States is ravaged by a disease, New York is badly hit, increase in crime and violence Real life now: Us ravaged by disease, New York is badly hit, increase in crime and violence
The difficulty changes have made even playing challenging annoying now. Missions take at least twice as long in a group of four on challenging than before these patches.
This is my problem. No one has given any suggestions to “fix” the bullet sponge problem. Okay so we make them weaker and easier to kill but then we’ll have DPS maniacs running through heroic difficulty like its normal or story mode. You can’t make the enemies “more tactical” because we’ll melt them before they have a chance to react. One idea is that tanks should actually be tanks. Being able to withstand more damage on higher difficulties. But in terms of bullet sponges, I would like to hear some actual fixes to the problem instead of saying , shorten the TTK. Because that, at least to me, defeats the purpose of Heroic and legendary difficulty. The enemies are suppose to be harder to kill. Just look at diablo and people doing GR150. The enemies are HARDER TO KILL. You aren’t annihilating every enemy you see. You’re utilizing your strongest skills with the Build you created ,as well as trying to stay alive. But it seems to be , people would much rather grind for 20 minutes and expect to have an over powered build that can melt enemies in legendary difficulty. So please , someone actually give me some sort of possible solution that would work, that would make you happy but respect the essence of heroic and legendary difficulties.
"No one has given any suggestions to “fix” the bullet sponge problem." Suggestion 1: Damage registration on enemies is bugged. Fix it. Suggestion 2: Countless perks, gear sets, talents, skills interacting with talents and gear sets, among other things are flat out broken. Fix it. Suggestion 3: Only reliable builds are an all red DPS build, an all yellow hardwired skill build, and in some cases an all blue true patriot vanguard build. Build diversity is dead. Fix it. Suggestion 3: Removing all talents from gear besides backpack and chest, and removing all but one talents on the weapons make the loot game feel incredibly stale. Fix it. Suggestion 4: There is no point in doing anything related to skills unless you are wearing 4pc hardwired, as it is the only way to effectively use your skills in rapid succession, even though the backpack is currently broken. Skill tier needs to have skill haste built in, even if it’s a small amount so we can go about using skills with other builds while still having fast cooldowns.
Comics Lamar again. You’re saying “fix it” is not a solution to the problem. Stating a problem and saying fix it aren’t suggestions. You’re simply stating a problem. And telling them to fix it.
Comics Lamar I gave a great example. Someone said if we are going about roles, tank builds should be able to withstand damage in heroic or legendary modes instead of everyone being one shot. His suggestion was scaling the armor defense stat higher with certain tanks builds , which might increase overall survivability throughout all classes but making sure that Tanks are way above DPS and healing classes (there was a lot more in detail but I won’t bore you with that). He present his problem which was legendaries are ripping through tank builds shields but they seem to not take any damage. At least with a reliable tank (he also suggested a small agro system) it would at least solve that problem with still keeping the difficulty high
Why don't they just throw more enemies at you rather than just making them unrealistically difficult? or what about limiting your ammo or health as a means to up the difficulty? sure having of enemies on screen might slow things down a bit but at least it'll be a bit more real and enjoyable.
The Division and Modern Warefare comparison Roy Benitez: John Price Paul Rhodes: Nikolai Either Faye Lau or President Ellis: General Shepard (both Shepard and Lau lost someone they looked up to. I personally think that the bullet sponge enemies are okay. At least it will require the players to discuss their strategy like who be the tanker, who are the damage dealer, and who are support. Furthermore, it also require players to better position themselves against wave of enemies instead of all dps build like the previous division 2. Players will have more interactions and the variation of different build will provide new way of playing the games, and all builds can contribute to the game and let the players felt that actually they are being appreciated. I myself was a tanker in my clan, and everytime when we were going for harder difficulty runs, the team will consist of different build players working together to finish the mission.
I love the difficulty but I also love mmos. As of right now Elite feels like an Old school WoW dungeon. I hope they make challenging easier for the people who hate it, but keep elite hardcore.
Why do people want to do Heroic right away its literally the highest difficulty for 99% of activities, play hard, challenging until you get a great build going and then attempt Heroic, is a difficulty progression such a radical idea?
Exactly! Literally could not put this better. The problem is that so many people where so powerful and using a cheesy build that let your seeker mines do all the work that they thought they could just waltz into the expansion and do the same. Thankfully Massive (it isn't Ubisoft people) have addressed this and made it so you have to concentrate on one style now. I read one guy who complained because he got killed as he forgot what the key bind was for going into cover!
Focusing on one style of play in a game makes it boring faster, not more enjoyable. Currently, the best build to run to even perform decently enough in legends are skill builds where your weapons are practically worthless and even then your skills are still subpar them compared when in TU7. Tank builds are worthless too as focusing only on defense stats means your dps is useless so you have to dump 2 magazines into a red bar just to kill them. And DPS? An enemy just so much as look in your direction and you're already downed. Also, we are division agents we are suppose to be the Spartans II of the game. The lore hypes up division agent as some sort of amazing super hero that can destroy waves of enemies and yet, where not. We are just some person wearing tissue paper armor and airsoft weapons against enemies who are practically walking m1 Abrams.
Well people want to play a difficult game for a challenge. We don’t want to replay the same mission over and over to top our high score through unlocking higher and higher difficulties. This is boring. We just want one epic playthrough that’s challenging.
@@airanator1212 challenging difficulty is challenging, you play it until heroic becomes bearable, it's made like that so people have something to do even then they have OP builds. In an mmo do you do the max difficulty dungeon right away or start with normal and move your way to higher once you're ready? As it's an RPG and you progress by getting better items you can't expect highest difficulty to be playable right away, it's not ghost recon style game.
i loved this game stoped playing just saw this today if i get warlords do i get to get to use loot guns perks ect in the normal game? or is it a separate game kinda. please help
Friend of mine plays this and want me to join in. The bulletsponge enemies and the insane amount of hud elements and glowing loot indicators make me not want to buy it. Have these issues been resolved for the most parts by now?
nah if you play it on normal difficulty bullet sponges are not that common, but as soon as you step into endgame territory and up difficulty to get better loot all that does is make everything eat bullets for breakfast
So I thought dlc for this game was going to be free? Or at least early acces for a certain amount of time then made free? I just recently started getting into the game and I remember something about dlc for this game being free. Is that not the case now?
my complaints are, the skill build with tier system are great, but the damage output is really low, it even barely scratch the enemy in challenging difficulty with group of 4
I need help please. I bought the warlords of new York in the ps4 store but when i go to the helicopter it tell me to go to the store but i already bought it. Please help me ASAP!!
open your inventory or settings in the game, there should be a tab up there among the options that is called ADDONS, click that and activate the dlc... hope that works
You can create builds to negate the bullet sponge if you're solo but the group scaling I think is out of whack. Also some of the Boss health is just dumb.
I love the grind in the division 1 and 2. The division is one of the best shooters this generation. His dislikes in this review doesn’t speak for everyone especially me. You can’t please everyone but I’m very pleased with the division and the the direction it’s going in and I’ll be playing future division games.
Clutch Million I tried I couldn’t stand the game after a while. The game is beautiful but the balancing of damage and health for npcs is just horrible. Someone really missed the mark.
@@Clutchmillion77 They only got 10 million because they offered the standard game for very cheap weeks ago lol calm down and I bet those are not even active players.
if you start to optimize your builds the enemies wont be SPONGY! ffs people... i started with a LMG 85K DMG and now i have it at 125K DMG the reason they made them spongy is because they thought about "IN THE LONG RUN" people will have better builds and will be able to destroy these spongy enemies... also did people forget the concept of RPG?
Yep. Even with a pure tank build I'm running tardegrade chest and true patriot with bullet king. I'm not speced for damage but I still lead in kills with the pugs I'm in atm. People are just undergeared or not properly geared atm. I joined a clan and within a few hours we found ourselves working well together and we started tackling elite fairly easily. Also: bullet king is MLG for true patriot. never have to worry bout reload, can stack all three colors easily for the boom and you can easily suppress troublesome snipers for ur team to get in position. Freaking amazing gun. so glad i got it.
@Leia Meila and yet last night me and my grp destroyed 4 heroics back to back, im not one to complain because the challenge makes the game more fun, keeps me on my toes and i dont have to face tank everything like before. If scales is too hard play normal/hard.
Actually the difficulty is fine. Heroic and legendary missions aren't to bad. Also u get the best scaled loot doing those. I run a shield build with the pointmen chest piece that gives me 50% more armor and group members 20% for 20 seconds and can be used every 20 seconds plus 5 seconds invincibility we ran throught the legendary without dying onces. And the the constant armor boost and such helped a lot. Was a great experience. With the right builds it is definitely doable.
Yeah after you beat it I thought that you got to do that all over again like another campaign but all you're doing is control points and missions you've already done to basically get nowhere I don't really have any interest in getting exotics because they don't put talents on them that make them satisfying enough to go after so in the beginning it was fun but now I'm back to where I was last month with the division 2, not playing it ...I love the division 2 they just don't have enough content. What's the point in getting exotics after you've already beat the campaign I want to use stuff like that on bosses I just feel like it's very repetitive you do the same thing over and over and the results are slightly different every once in a while
@Samuel i have the game but i have a problem on psn store it says the division 2 warlords of new york expansion 9.99 and then theres.another one the says division 2 warlords of new york 19.99 so is that an expansion of the dlc or just the whole game an the dlc separately?
i like this review for highlighting that the bullet sponge enemy have returned even after ubisoft stated it would tone this down for the division 2. well here we are again.
They think the reason this game isn't doing as well as Division 1is because it's got slightly different gameplay from it... They're completely wrong. The reason people aren't playing this game is because they felt burned by this franchise after the lukewarm Division 1.... The name is tarnished nobody wants to waste time grinding in this game. It's all over the place tonally. After being disappointed by D1 I'm not going to invest time and money into D2... even if it's 3 bucks or whatever.
Im confused im looking on the psn store an it says division 2 warlords of new york is 19.99 but then theres another one which is called division 2 warlords of new york expansion an its 10 so does that mean that thats the expansion of the dlc?
if they do a division 3 take bullet sponge out the game all together an tougher enemies just make more clever like will push your flank pop smoke an rush you pull tricks on you have to put 1000000 bullets into them
Elite difficulty is fine imo. Its there for the hardcore groups who make synergistic builds to complete the content. Challenging should be the hard PUG option that keeps the same spawns but less bullet spongey for the casuals. Elite isn't for random groups. This guy didnt explain how he was going into Elite. Was it with a clan or randoms? The rogue agents however are insanely overtuned though.
SpongeBob Bulletpants indeed! This is why I love IGN😂 I'd say they went a little high on the score (8.0) due to the aforementioned sponge-gate issue (Which BTW, is also in the main game starting at challenging difficulty - whether solo or in a group of however many) this wouldn't be as bad if they didn't also hide the best loot behind the higher difficulties. So you're caught in a no win situation, literally.
After saying i'd never play The Division anymore because of the terrible bullet sponge enemies, I decided i might buy part 2 because a friend said bullet sponges are gone.. I went and added the game to my cart then delayed to check a recent review.. Needless to say i quickly removed the game from my digital shopping cart because i am absolutely not buying back into bullet sponges lol... For me it obliterates the immersion.
