The Division - The PTS is still live and I spent a night testing out the new Sentry's Mark Classified Gearset which will be available in patch 1.7. I gotta say- this thing turned out to be an absolutely MONSTER, but in a way I wasn't really expecting. It could still do with a few buffs, but unquestionably it will be the best DPS gearset in patch 1.7, hands down.

what about shield+pistol? taking the fire rate of an x45 you stack up those debuffs extremely fast. could be a really nice tank build

I was running this set with the pistol and shield to stack marks on a target and moving on to the next letting the team take them down. Fast firing and hard hitting too when all the buffs are up getting 600,000 crit damage when in the last 30% of the health bar was insane! Build was 3 electronics and 2 firearms stats and damage to elites and health everywhere else I could get it with shield health mods.

Well you were faster that me. I was going to post exactly that in the Reddit but with the M1A. After had tried the 6 Classified Sentry with one of my SRS A1, I picked my Brutal, Ferocious and Coolheaded M1A and saw the return of the M1A as a viable alternative. Just for that I'm loving already the new patch. I've used since I started playing the game the Sentry Call gear set first with the M1A and then with the SRS A1. Seeing how viable the M1A is after patch, I changed in my live game again to the M1A to get used again to it.

I wonder if i can use a pistol like First Wave x45 to quickly apply stacks then switch a high rpm weapon like lvoac to melt targets. at first glance i should be doing about same dmg as 4p striker except i get the dmg faster maybe.

Its a legally very grey area mate. Basically the gambling is wrapped up inside a game, and the payments occur outside the game when you buy premium credits. A lot of games have been doing it, but its a house of cards. There are a lot of small test cases going through, but the law hasnt quite caught up with it yet.

I was not very clear in my response to SkillUp, I was thinking of the CGLotto thing but your points are still valid. Laws are not up to date regarding pseudo currencies and trade. I still hope Tmrtn and ProSyndicate end up in jail or get fined into oblivion though. Unlikely but one can hope.

Hey SkillUp, what are your thoughts about a tank/support hybrid build that uses high skill power with a strong ballistic shield and a strong group heal where you can use your pistol in a supportive role to mark targets? Maybe have the Coolheaded talent to further boost your supportive role? Pistols like the X-45 have good accuracy and can be fired extremely fast. Additionally, since the damage is reduced by having low firearms and by using a pistol, you'd be able to take advantage of the "contagious" marks mechanic more.

I have a question about sentry and shotguns. Does each individual pellet add a stack? If so that's a hell of a lot of damage after one, maybe two head shots with one.

I use MDR and SASG for PVE and love it... Solo or in a group. For solo I use a healing station and the fire turret. For group stun sticky bomb and fire turret wich goes great with the MDR. Very must combo.

6 piece n MDR is gonna be mental and I cant wait :D PS you idea to buff the spread I agree with but coupled with how strong it is already Id say make the headshot bonus at 6 stacks 70% and a 100% chance to spread a stack. Or 25% to spread all 6 stacks.

The marks get spread via the 6 piece after 3 marks not 6. It actually says that in the footage of the 6 piece description too, you must have read it wrong.

What did you think about using this with the MDR? I thought the MDR/ SASG combo was really strong and allowed you a little bit more "run n gun" in your face style of gameplay. Just curious about your thoughts

You can invest into some electronics on it and go shield and pistol for solo. even with regular sentry for Pve. The shield pistol is crazy solo. not quite as good as defence, but it is honestly not far behind. same with regular strikers with a double barrel shotgun and shield. You can walk through challenge mode content no trouble at all.

Stacked on toughness and electronics, ran a shield with the first wave x-45. Perfect support build. NPC's and players focus on you allowing your team to melt through them.

Nice video Skill Up, each video makes me more interessed in download The Division again. On your Strikers video, i really thought "wow that's my set now", since the d3-fnc was nerfed in 1.6, but you said the classified striker got nerfed, in what aspect?

Hey SkillUp, with my sentry gear set I use the MDR with about 8K firearms, I am out putting sometimes a bigger number due to the exotic perk on it. The MDR has about the same recoil at the SVD.

I wanted to ask you if this sounded like a monster build for the DMR. With 1.7 coming, having three piece Predator and two piece firecrest with the new ninjabike. Have flame turret with cluster seekers?

Skill Up, have you considered using a fast firing pistol to try and get 6 head shots quickly before switching to something like a Light Weight M4? Don't know about switch weapon time but 6 quick head shots to proc the perk then rain devastation with a fast full auto might be an interesting combination...

In pvp they should make it that players get all three marks in the first headshot for a part of the 6 piece because it seems to basically do nothing but add marks to other players around one player.

Try it with a pistol and balistic shield support marking build. You have more freedom of movement to mark at will and don't need to spec as much into toughness.

Good video, man. This is a fun set. Guys, the six piece bonus in global event threat level 2 when playing in an organised group is redundant. Swap the sixth for something else. It is fun though. Headshot mark your npc then your buddy gets the headshot kill on this second shot. Work together and you fly through.

Thank you SkillUp for yet another great video. You say it's difficult to give that buff to your team mates because you kill the enemy to fast. What if you put less skill in firearms and more in to electronic. Then you wouldn't kill the enemy so fast and give buff to your team. keep those videos coming!

How about make it after three marks on the target you have a 1/3 chance for each headshot? So basically if your target CAN take all of those headshots eventually you will get the de-buffs on the targets within 10m. Idk how this would work in game but it seems to me it would make it more appealing to get the 6 set.

I think that a more support oriented build using this 6 piece would be better. Have a high electronics shield build using a X-45(ideally a First Wave variant) with Coolheaded and just mark everything for your DPS players to melt them fast.

Question about the sentry's gearset (and all classified sets as well): do you need 6 classified gear pcs for the 6 pc bonus or just 2 pcs (and the other 4 can be normal sentry's pcs)?

When it says that it spreads a single mark to additional targets within 10 meters -- how close is that? How often do you see that extra mark being spread? If you're facing 6 enemies and only 1 is within 10 meters...then you get nothing. But all of the other 5 targets are within 10 meters then it serves its purpose.

Does sentry not work with pistols anymore? I would think with a shield/pistol combo you can very easily build up six stacks for you and teammates. Weren't you one of the one's pointing out how powerful the shield build with sentry was? Until the new defender classified set gets released I would think this would make for one hell of a tank build.

i wonder if skill up read the 6 piece more carefully when talking about the 25% chance to spread the marks beause it clearly states after the 3rd mark applied to the target every mark applied after has that 25% to spread to hostiles within 10m and hes talking about it being only applicable on targets with 6 marks

brian counts Are you not getting the Global Event? I noticed the patch notes in the PTS are the 1.6.1 patch notes. I don't think it means anything.

I was somewhat upset when found out that d3-fnc would not go into first pack of classified gear set. But it apparently had a very good replacement in combination with the shield. Hope under "the balance" gets a few bonuses from the existing ones. And the developers will not add a restriction - the bonus is imposed only when using a certain type of weapon - like a sniper / shotgun.

In retrospect, three weapons are excellent pairings for this set: MDR, M700 Carbon, and Historian. The MDR is very similar in terms of damage to an SVD but the ammo pool is larger and you can proc the exotic talent with grenades or skills such as Flashbang Sticky or Gas Seeker. Neither skill require much investment in electronics. The M700 is slow firing but, as you add stacks, your damage can easily hit the millions when you combine Prepared and Elevated. The Historian, while suffering from accuracy issues, can stagger foes very effectively.

Nice video skill up. You are wrong on the spread since it spreads after 3 stacks and not on the 6th (as other ppl mentioned also). I am using an urban and a m700 and it melts.

Now you can do over 1million damage with an m44! I feel pretty weak sometimes doing 500k base 700 crit so I would love to over a milly base!

I'm still wondering if the 100% headshot bonus at 6 stacks is just for you, or if everyone gets it; and also, does multiple people running Sentry's allow for more than six stacks, or does only one set of Sentry's count? Never used the set much, I know nothing about its intricacies or nuances.

I calibrated some items from my old 4-striker 1-Reckless & 1-savage last night and talent was Bleed, burn, tact & steady and I was amazed the out come of my LVOA damnnnnn!!! It shred the NPC every shot it shows the talent icon .... Hope you can post some striker idea just to share ..please Thanks Brodjohn Agent out!!!

Skill Up, I believe you are mistaken at 5:05. You start spreading marks to additional targets after 3 marks and not after 6.

5:00 i dont know if im the only 1 to notice this but you keep saying that targets wont survive 6 headshots to get the 25% spread 3 bonus but its actually after headshots so its not that bad

Ballistic shield would probably benefit the most from this. With all the headshot bonuses, you don't even need brutal. So you can run pure skillpower, run a pulse as second skill to increase group utility. Probably destructive/talented for minimal firearms requirement, or brutal/[bonus dmg for being close, forgot name] for mediocre firearm investment. X-45 would probably shine here for that high fire rate and not op damage. This is a rough outline, but hopefully it sounds good enough for someone to test properly.

with the classified gears the drop rates should belie it was for the BBV. Make people play and farm there asses of for them.if it's going to be that OP.
