Enemies is a bit strong of a word, they were more like soldiers on opposite sides. It wasn’t as personal as enemies, but their alliances put them into a position where they had to fight.
@@bananaeclipse3324 I'd agree because technically Amaya never showed anything but respect for Janai during their fights, which proves they're more similar than they seem and it's even shown how skilled they are as equals while fighting against Viren's corrupted soldiers
Honestly, I love both of those, but tdp is superior because they did an explicitly trans character that talks about their experience with their tans-ness
i dont think its okay. like mostly KIDS watching this, and i know, sometimes if characters are gay, it gives smth to the story but tell me. if runaan would have a gf, what would happen? (i hope yk what im talking abt)
I think Tdp is definitely better than them in this subject while i love Toh and She-Ra the queer rep in those shows are just screaming like see there is queer ppl! Sometimes they are kinda feel like they always constantly trying to show this to you but in Tdp it feels really natural and i love it
I respectfully disagree with your assessment TOH and She-ra, but everyone is entitled to their opinion, so I won't say much more about it. I love all 3 shows equally.
I always got the sense that Viren and Harrow had a stronger connection than friends. While I never saw them as romantically so, its a nice thought and more reason that Viren isn't truly evil
Great to see them all again. I still hope Runaan and Rayla's parents will be released from the cursed coins that trapped their souls for far too long and reunited with our friends and heroes one day. Runaan will be brought back to Rayla and his beloved Ethari.
Recently I found out that terry is actually a transgender character, he use to be she. And this reveal truly flew over my head, and yes I had to see this five more times, just to understand the scene reveal. But that's what I love the about this scenes, it's in your face and have to really see and hear it.
I did not get that at all lol, the 'doe and buck' speech completely flew over my head lol. Also, 'I chose the name Terrestrius' should have been a dead giveaway, and the trans flag flower... wow i have no intelligence lol
@@Pak43lol how about trans and queer youth with a lack of representation in the community and also the people who LITERALLY clicked on a video called “The Dragon Prince ALL LGBTQ+ Representation | S1-5”
@@Ionlydoquads you have the owl house, helluvaboss, hazbin hotel, the biden administration EVERYONE in power is on your side stop wining about the "lack" of representation, is it to much to ask that a good show is not flooded with your degenerate propaganda
Omg I just realised 10:20 the flower is colored like the trans flag! Edit: Omggg and at 11:35 the lamp is colored in the lesbian flag! The team really knows how to hide their representation subtly 😊😁😆
This show has the perfect example of non-forced representation! When they add lgbtq they add to a character, not the other way around! They make it as important as a hetero relationship, they don’t exaggerate it!
i don’t really agree with the term “forced representation” because all representation is important and at least people are trying. But I think the representation is done very well here, it’s a very good example of how to do queer representation.
Want to point out that Viren being told about Terry is one of my favourite moments, partially because Viren is still adjusting to a lot, and also because it shows a slowly growing respect for Terry.
HEADCANON TIME: Viren HAS a crush on king harrow, let me explain: In season 1 we see how much he wants to protect king harrow and he tries to keep him alive (it didn't work), and in season 2 and 3 we see flashbacks were he tries to make him happy and tries to solve his problems, then in season 5 in viren's "nightmares" we see how he dreams about king harrow were he says he always appreciated him like a """""brother""""". SOOOO given all this evidence, the fact that he did say Claudia and soren had a mother, and the fact he did all his horrible actions due to "love" my conclusion is: Bi viren who has a crush on king harrow
Hey question which is the better couple Jenai x Amaya or Runnan x Ethari or Rayla x Callum and at 2:30 it's the only time that Aaravos doesn't know something and that Amaya and Jenai are the perfect interpretation of enemies to lovers and that they have almost identical parells there both generals and they had a sister that died as a queen so I'm happy they found each other but seriously I know she was doing her job but Jenai's sister was kinda mean to Amaya she almost went blind thankfully Jenai helped Amaya it was cute to see her do that and what do you think Jenai's sister meant by pet I didn't get it and when Jenai saw her sister get burned alive it was heartbreaking because Amaya had went through that as well so seeing her face while she was looking at Jenai probably brought bad memories back to her so seeing it happen to Jenai she knew the pain so that moment that truly heartbreaking and I believe Amaya may have PTSD. During the fight at the storm spire we can clearly tell that when Amaya was thrown into Jenai and Jenai went Magma armor mode that was her saying don't you hurt with my "Prisoner" and when I saw the scene at 9:14 I could see that Gren knew they would be a couple just from seeing that. I still can't get over the proposal scene it's both funny adorable and sad it's funny because Amaya thought the dancers were ambushers but it's sad because Jenai wanted it to be a sweet moment but it went downhill but it's adorable because she still made it work but I wonder would've Jenai done the same thing if it was Amaya that was proposing to her and the part where Gren says Jenai signed to wrestle with Amaya that was funny and for people who didn't understand the flower scene it had the trans flag colors and if I remember correctly the voice for Terry is trans and this is only part I felt bad for Karim because I'm a little brother and I have a big sister and she "beats me up" as well manly verbally but everything else with Karim I don't feel bad for. The scene where Terry came out to viren is one of the moments where Viren shows that he is a good person because he supports Terry and Respects him for coming and even tells him he has a strong name. I love that in season 5 we got so much more Janaya because they didn't really have any moments with just them in season 4 also I'm happy we got more kissing I just find it cute. The part where Callum and Rayla find out the wedding is just a great scene all around. Finally the scene where Amaya came back from lux area and found out that Jenai was kidnapped was just heartbreaking and deep all just from Amaya's reaction then her just going berserk on Karim was so cool because no one messes with Amaya's loved ones but I was a bit grossed out when Kim'Del kissed Jenai and when Jenai found out the truth of what what happened to her Grandmother and Amaya comforting her was so sad but sweet.
There was a moment on the battlefield when Amaya was still a “prisoner” when she signed to Callum and there weren’t really any context clues to what she said (ae when some responds to what she signed, doesn’t even have to be translated). Was that Amaya basically explaining that Jenai was in denial or…?
There are no gay vibes between Viren and Harrow. You're really reaching there because it's clear that they're like brothers, not lovers. Not everything needs to have sexual undertones, you know. Viren and Terry also have no gay vibes. Terry's just acting like any guy who wants to prove to his girlfriend's dad that he's worthy of being with her. Viren and Aaravos are another matter. However, it's basically the magical equivalent of date rape because Viren had no clue that he fathered Aaravos' child. It's really fucked up, especially since Aaravos is the Satan of The Dragon Prince universe.
Since season 1,plenty of people think that Viren is either gay or bi and had a crush on Harrow (he's handsome) Season 5 did officially confirm that it was just brotherly love, not romantic.
@@corynl9957 I think people were reading too deep into that. It sounded to me like Terry was just scrawny and weak compared to the other boys so he got bullied. You don't have to be trans to be an outcast or to change your name. And Claudia very clearly called Terry her boyfriend. That's not a gender ambiguous term and one glance at the lad would confirm that he's male.
11:45 tbh looking back to when I first saw this episode. I didn't realize that he was saying that he was trans. I thought the doe and the buck thing was an elven metaphor for strength and weakness or something. Now I feel like an idiot for not seeing it sooner
The Dragon Prince is a Good Show. But I must explain something: A Good Story Doesn’t Have to be Gay. It Really Doesn’t. And my OC’s would agree with Me.
Though I do not agree with you, I understand that everyone has their own options and I won't guilt you like the other people. I personally love the gays in this, and the show, but it isn't for everyone. It does not necessarily make you a homophobic no matter what anyone says, just means we like diff things.
@@kidsaccount7084 thank you you are very understanding, I am not homophobic as I don’t hate this and despise it but it just feels a little bit weird to me
@@anime_galaxy5088 Yeah I understand how it can feel a bit forced to include representation but I actually thought the Dragon Prince did well in not making the LGBTQ representation seem forced. It is ultimately just our different preferences so yeah, don’t feel guilty about thinking differently.
