@Dralshard Both Double Dragon and Downtown Nekketsu were made by Technos. Billy and Jimmy showed up a lot in Kunio-kun's games; they were members of rival schools in the various sports titles, and bosses in a few of the series' fighting games. Funny how the Dragon Twins can take gunfire and fight a dangerous, homicidal gang but they regularly lose out to two high school kids
Hah, Take me back. Wish the people of the internet would re-record it with new instruments. Love the old Double Dragon, and River City Ransom had a great idea stuffing this little easter egg in. Thankfully they were able to put it in the Ex without litigation.
@HyperSonicSquall Jimmy Lee is the only Double Dragon character to appear in a Kunio-kun game. He first appeared in Crash n' The Boys as one of the contestants. The Hattori Twins/Randy & Andy are given the title the "Double Dragon Twins" because of their Japanese names "Ryuichi" and "Ryuji" loosely translated as "First Dragon" and "Second Dragon", and partly due to their theme and moves being similar to the Lee Brothers.
Billy also appeared in a computer port of the 4 player battle royale one, and in the recent entry river city girls, they both appear alongside Marian as well as skullmageddon from double dragon neon as shopowners.
Makes with they had 3rd and 4th player Double Tigers for the Double Dragon games. Since one of the Kunio games had a Double Tiger team, it be cool to have a non evil version of twin guys called the tigers and make them Billy and Jimmy's allies and rivals.
Although the soundtrack in general sounds relatively decent, I absolutely agree that they sound weaker and more calm which is unfitting for an “Awesome and fair” fight. Especially this one, It’s a confusing idea to play a calmer version of the Double Dragon theme when it is completely unfitting for the most horribly designed and broken fight in the entire game and that they could’ve simply used the one for “Double Dragon Advance”.
