Another argument against the Hiei foreshadow wish casting, and it's a perfect example of Togashi kind of making it all up as he goes, is the fact that after they storm Tarukane's compound and rescue Yukina, Hiei tells Yusuke that they're half siblings who share the same father, when in the three kings arc it's revealed that they're twins

Nice video. 👍 It is interesting to see what others things about stuff related to the fandom. As for some of the stuff there: The power scaling is really important and examples like Goki even passing to the Dark Tournament are silly. At least there wasn't a question: " Who would win? Akagashi and Iwamoto vs Yomi." Also, when it comes to Sensui, I kinda wondered why he didn't immediately go after the rest of the Black Black Club after seeing what they did. Especially Tarukane (at least in the English dub) and Sakyo, who were the ones that made Black Black Club into the horrible organization that it was.

Toguro being a secret S class is a fun idea, cause he was the big bad of the best arc (in my opinion in anime ...iv'e seen at least) buuuuut your argument does kinda decimate the idea of it being canon lol. well done. Fun concept tho. (multiple comments for different ideas and better metrics for the uploader, yea im doin it lol. ill bust each idea into a new comment if i can...but im almost out of video lol)

As a kid, I was so confused why team Urameshi didn't just ask Shizuru to be their alternate after Genkai died. As an adult, I realized that the logical answer was because even though she could kick ass, it was only against her brother, she had no formal training, and people wouldn't want to put her in danger. But damn, I wish she coulda leveled up to be a fighter. Also, thank you, I'm now stuck internally debating the merits of Hiei and Sasuke. But, more importantly, I hate all of the "well, the villain wasn't actually wrong. They had a point and were basically right." It's poor media literacy 98% of the time, and completely missing the nuance to the stories and the characters involved. So frustrating to see that post with Sensui, especially when the story repeatedly points out the flaws in Sensui's logic and reasoning.

my only thing about Toguro being B-Class that doesnt make too much sense to me is when he says hes too strong to go to demon world, based on the kekai barrier that woukd mean hes at least an A-class. unless him saying that was implying that any normal size whole to demon world was too small, so he needed Sakyo to make a large enough hole to demon world for him to go through.

im no die hard hiei fan, but i gotta say.....sasuke is discount hiei! he might be more fleshed out, but that doesn't stop him from being the cheap knock off. Hiei would be more fleshed out had togashis health held out. to be fair: I kinda think sasuke sucks, so im certainly bias...even if i love both yuyu and naruto

I've got my popcorn ready for this. I'm in this group; I seldom post/comment because I question just how much attention they paid to the series by a lot of the commenters & posters. Lmao. Probably gonna write this comment while viewing, so it'll probably get long- but I can't help it because I love this series dearly. (Side note: I, too, have watched the series a disgusting amount of times. It has me genuinely questioning if the posters and I watched the same series.) Goki gets, shall I say... shit stomped. I agree he does not make it off the boat if he's put on the same track as Team Urameshi. Though I will say he doesn't even make it to the finals. I'll be generous and allow him a pass to make it into round two. As for Chinpo- when the Genkai tourney bunch got mentioned- I only remember his name because of the Abridged Series having a whole bit about him ".... wandering". The YYH to [insert series here] comparisons make me sigh. Hiei is my favorite anime character, but I attribute that to his character being a big source of comfort and inspiring strength when I was a kid. It started as cool factor, sure, but he was definitely an inspiration in my middle school & high school years. The Shizuru fanart for a hypothetical. I think that one in particular is just a really fun one for people to explore, just because Shizuru was shown to not hesitate in throwing hands when necessary. Toguro gets Kentucky fried by any one of the three kings. Spirit World did not disclose the power classes until Koenma's hand was forced by Sensui's scheme in Chapter Black. It drives me insane when I see posts like that in that group, saying they know better than the person who made the series. The Chapter Black arc is my favorite of the series. I used to prefer the Dark Tourney over all others, but the older I got the more I came to truly appreciate Chapter Black the most. (Like, I actually really genuinely want to see the live action get to do that arc because so many hints were dropped in what we actually got.) Sensui as a character is terrifying, because he had such a black-and-white world view his entire life just to have it absolutely decimated- which makes him fascinating as a villain imo. I think he was such a good follow-up antagonist to Toguro. I do like your mention of Chapter Black being part of a set (I frequently forget that).. Though I think the focus was specifically on Chapter Black specifically because of the [i'll call them] cultists doing the Feast of Human Vices which seemed to worship that specific tape. (It's actually been a hot minute since I've watched the series so maybe I'm wrong there- feel free to correct me on that.)

I really don’t agree with a lot of what this dude is saying, the screenshots are posted so that people can get reminded of the series they love, some of the what if scenarios are interesting and you clearly seemed interested given how much you delved into it, while I don’t necessarily like the Hiei comparison sense Sasuke still a great character, your really playing down Hieis character by saying he’s just an edge lord when his mystery is meant to add to his character, look I’ve been in this fb group for over four years and while I don’t frequent it much anymore, I’ve seen so much bs posted that bro completely ignored like the ridiculous amount of Hiei x Kurama ship posts for example and he focused on the dumbest types of posts, the community also has a lot of showcases of people who just genuinely express their love for the series, I know it was stated he only thinks 75% of the posts are what he’s saying but idk this didn’t feel like a good representation of the group at all, no hate to bro I’ve never seen any of his videos but I really don’t see most of his points, the point with Sensui at the end was valid tho
