The E30 BMW M3 is a high-performance version of the BMW 3 Series, produced from 1986 to 1991. It was developed specifically for racing and homologation purposes and has since become a highly sought-after collector's item.
Under the hood, the E30 M3 is powered by a naturally aspirated 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine, which produces 192 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. It has a top speed of 146 mph and can accelerate from 0-60 mph in around 6.5 seconds.
The E30 M3 features a number of performance upgrades over the standard 3 Series, including a reinforced chassis, stiffer suspension, larger brakes, and a limited-slip differential. The exterior also received a number of aerodynamic enhancements, including a distinctive front spoiler and rear wing.
Inside, the E30 M3 is fitted with Recaro sport seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a three-gauge instrument cluster that includes a tachometer, oil temperature, and oil pressure gauges.
Only 5,000 examples of the E30 M3 were built for homologation purposes, making it one of the most exclusive and sought-after BMW models of all time.
