Amazing progress Carl. So many new features on the layout since your last update. I am sure the weeds in your garden are a price worth paying. Yours must be the number one Emett layout in the UK, can't see anything that even comes close.
Hello Natasha, 😃How lovely to meet another Emett modeller and supporter of Michael 's, do you have a layout ? if so I would love to see it there,s not enough of us in my opinion , I miss my phone calls with Mike he was so helpful to me when I started the Emett build and pointed me in the right direction , I still use Smallbrook but its not the same in many ways, all the best to you Carl

I had the fortune of actually riding for a shilling on the real railway 🚂 in 1951....when I saw Mike's advert for Nelly I couldn't resist the temptation to get one and build it ....then someone said at the railway club "why don't you build a layout "! .... Oh dear 6 locos 20 + items and bits and bobs later I'm still not there yet ! ... it's not easy when you live on a narrow boat ( the bubble in the spirit level won't stay still ! ) 🫣and I decided that it had to be light in construction as too much weight on one side is not good 🤔 .... Im slightly jealous Natasha , 1st you have a bigger collection of Mikes work than me, 2nd you got to travel on the real Nelly, what a thrill that must have been and a memory for a lifetime , I have seen the RU-vid clips of the excited children waiting to board and the big smile on the engine drivers face, I would have loved to be one of them but sadly it was not to be, the bubble problem you have did make my laugh , in a nice way of course , i do hope you build your layout to run all your wonderful stock on, after all Mike does end the instructions with, Now enter into revenue service and have fun, the extension boards will happen but unfortunately I have a few jobs to do before I can enjoy - have fun again myself, please do consider putting your build and trains on here, I will be ready to subscribe , Carl
On Facebook I'm a member of a small group called Gn15/Gnine and minimum Gauge Railway Modellers but you've given me an idea, I've always thought I'm not reaching the right audience for the Emett layout and was wondering what I could do about it, so I think I will creat a page on FB and see how it goes. I've taken plenty of pictures so could show the layout from the start. All the best.
