I did penacony at equilibrium 3 or 4 can't remember exactly. Spent days blocked by something unto death just to...blaze through Sam so easily that it was both a welcome relief after days of frustration but also a let down to the tension i was expecting.

the same thing happened to me. I started the fight as I would any fight at the time. 3 DPS' and my Blazer-sama. The 3DPS' we built for full attack/crit without anything to protect them except the shields from Blazy so they went down rather quickly before I realised that the skills are actually what hurt them the most. Then Blazy just stoody there, blocking endlessly with some attacks sprinkled in and... my dude Sam just killed himself.

This video actually gave me the idea of using FTB and 3 healers (Luocha, Lynx, Natasha.) The fact that it took me two weeks of farming to level up 8 of my characters to level 70 + relics, only to win with only FTB and Natasha as the two surviving members definitely pissed me off.

For someone who has been a casual player without any real team builds sam gave me the hardest time in terms of story bosses, the first boss I lost to 3 times in a row until I upgraded my team enough to make it through lol

This was pretty much my fight with sam too my trailblazer was the only character I semi built and I think at that time I only had I think equilibrium 2 so I just had to wait until black swan and sam just slowly chipped away at his health because my characters did under 1% to him

This works at Equilibrium 6 as well. My Trailblazer-Fire has 3357 HP and 5385 DEF, which was enough to solo Sam without getting hurt. The A4 Major trace offset the HP loss on Skills. I did almost no damage, letting Sam kill herself with her own HP consumption Trailblazer: Enhanced Basic Sam: Attack, Supernova Overload Trailblazer: Ultimate Sam: Attack, Supernova Overload Trailblazer: Skill Sam: Attack x2, Supernova Overlord x2 Repeat until Sam dies

Wait what? I remember some other videos in yt said that the photo still appears on the ground even if you reject firefly selfie. Did they just recently changed it in 2.1?

I rejected taking FireFly’s photo cause it had the icon of leaving the mission not continuing it (the arrow) but when I found out it continued the mission I was flabbergasted

Even at max equilibrium i found sam to be really easy too. I basically soloed him with a level 70 march 7th with level 4 traces and leftover relics. His damage is just really low for some reason

Sam in the story was easy enough for me to beat 2nd try on my harmony only account. With food buffs though.

In my sam fight, Lynx literaly soloed him. All of my DPSs died early on and so Lynx had to do everything else XD that was a fun fight and I cant wait until he becomes a more regular boss.

Sam just... doesn't do much damage. I was running MOC12 with a team of Fu Xuan, SW, Sparkle and Qingque against him. SW got knocked pretty low from the miniboss on Sam's wave and using a few skills. She was at somewhere between 100 and 300 health. Sam *relentlessly* attacked her over and over and over again. Fu Xuan's damage mitigation and very small healing from her ults was enough to prevent her from dying, despite taking every attack from Sam over a cycle or two. My Silver Wolf is E2. She's uses her freedom of stat investment from not needing EHR for *damage*, not defences. A single strong attack from almost any enemy in MOC12 would kill her, even through Fu Xuan damage mitigation, at that hp range. She just stood there and took it from Sam. Sam isn't a damage dealer, he's a HP sponge.

This is why I run double Preservation. FMC, Fu Xuan and anyone who can do damage.

the Sam fight was one of the easier ones I've done since I had Geopard and well lets just say that Sam barely touched my characters since for some odd reason the shield got buffed(?) and basically I was only taking damage from the skill usage aside from very few attacks from Sam

For the sam fight he wrecked everyone on my team except bailu... and bailu soloed him

I thought the reason I was able to kill him so easily was because I had HuoHuo and all of his damage from using skills was instantly negated

We must be fighting different bosses. Sam absolutely destroyed my team. Beat him with Dr. Ratio, Kafka, Lynx and Ruan Mei after 6 tries

This fight was really tough for me - until I built my Trailblazer like Blazer-Dino which made it easy So… yeah!

Sam just doesn't want to hurt Trailblazer-dono duh 😂

I didn't understand the difficulty of the fight with Sam until I saw others fighting him. I use preservation MC and Lynx as a default. 😂 No one died.

I had very little issue with sam on my play through either. I suspect that shows aomething about peoples' play style and build levels, since higher damage means fewer rolls keeping your characters alive and in turn less damage that he can do to himself. l don't think that he will be fun as an moc boss, since the last time you have, the last time he can damage himself for

Turns out, it seems so far, Misha and Black Swan are the only ones that hasn't been revealed to be hiding another identity, so the ???? Likely means they're lying about who they are. Except for Sparkle, because Sparkle is just Sparkle.

Shields are hard counters to Sam and they ofc did that intentionally. I almost lost my first go at him in the story cuz i only had HuoHuo as a healer. The moment i went into MOC with Gepard it was over for him.

Well, Sam disappointed. But Aventurine should be a fun match. I know he's a boss sometime in the upcoming version from the livestream.
