Lasagna •• PREP •• Put two bags of shredded mozzarella in their own bowl Put gruyere and Asiago cheese (shed the whole block) in its own bowl Cut up two fresh balls of mozzarella THINLY, put in its own bowl Cut up HALF of an onion (finely), put in its own bowl Fresh garlic (finely), put in its own bowl Chop fresh parsley (finely) put in its own bowl Tear basil, put in its own bowl 1/3 TOTAL of bone broth and chicken broth •• COOK •• Large saucepan on high heat, Add half of the beef and half of the sausage CHOP FINELY until completely brown Set burner on lowest heat, Add onion - for 4,5 minutes Add garlic - for 4,5 minutes Add tablespoon and a half of: Chili powder Oregano + a little bit of chili flakes + salt, pepper Let sit for 2,3 minutes Add broth mixture, let sit for 5 minutes Add HALF jar of both sauces, Add parsley Let sit for 30 minutes, stirring frequently With 10 minutes left, salt water and boil lasagna noodles - cook them for 8 minutes •• ASSEMBLY •• Tiny bit of meat sauce, Noodles (around 4 or what will fit) Lots of shredded mozzarella (about half) A little bit of mixed cheese Basil Pepperoni (around 5) Fresh mozzarella Meat sauce Noodles Shredded mozzarella Mixed cheese Fresh mozzarella Basil Pepperoni Meat sauce Mixed cheese, little bit of shredded mozzarella (Cover it ALL with cheese to every corner) Fresh mozzarellas •• BAKE •• Put lasagna dish on top of a baking sheet before baking, Cover loosely with foil 25 minutes- remove the foil Back in for another 25 DONE

@@EducatedWalrus It's really a matter of preference, but **traditionally** it's made with ricotta or a bechamel sauce. The addition of one of these just makes for a richer taste. As far as cheese, I will usually mix it up, but generally fresh mozzarella, maybe provolone, and some fresh grated asiago & parmigianno. I like his addition of gruyere, it's very melty.

Put my hubby grandma in long term care b/c she had a great attack and then a stroke n now unresponsive since April and can't see her. I just want my kids and my hubby to have a good holiday season. How could I incorporate that or would it not mix well with the flavors of the other cheeses? This looks so delicious! Basil, so my daughter was like I am all in she hates ricotta. I'm gonna have to do her one with cottage cheese instead. I LOVE Ricotta though LOL Anyhow, Jordan you've not steered me wrong yet, except man. You gotta make your own sauce baby! It's NEXT level stuff. Simmered for a couple of hours. I'm telling ya, it makes a difference. I promise. Try it one day. Check out Chef John's sauce I adapted his to make it mine. The Anchovies and the San Marzano tomatoes hand crushed is the trick. Simmer at LEAST 1.5 hours if not 2

What size is the baking dish you use? It doesnt look like a 9x13, which is the only size I own. Didn't know if that changes the cooking time? Probably so...

I love that this lasagne doesn’t have white sauce (I love white sauce but that just does not go in lasagne!). My mum makes something similar (without the pork and vodka sauce because we don’t eat pork or drink alcohol). Ours is a family recipe. And now that I’m seeing all that cheese and basil, I need to urge her to add MORE cheese and include BASIL.

BASIL!!! Rao’s is seriously the best. As an Italian that is a good store bought sauce. Not quite like a true gravy but highly recommend (yes real Italians make gravy) lol
LOVE that you didn’t use those no bake noodles shit. Its a crime when I see people use them. Im Sicilian and come from a big family of amazing cooks. I 100% would try this recipe.
TIP FROM A PRO: Anyone that hates grating their own cheese, hold the box grater on it’s SIDE, whilst holding the handle.....GAME CHANGER!!! SO much easier and makes more sense than grating vertically!
