It's the holidays and the perfect time to make this easy and delicious white chocolate peppermint bark. Only a few ingredients but the flavor is ALL THERE! Great to give as gifts and party favors too! I hope you try this recipe out and let me know what you think!
Ingredients
1 (12oz) package of white chocolate chips (Nestle Toll House is my favorite)
8 mini candy canes
1/8 teaspoon peppermint extract
Directions
Crush candy canes in a ziploc bag. If you have a double broiler this would be great to use. But if you don’t you can use a small pot. Melt the white chocolate chips in a small pot constantly stirring. Once melted remove from heat and add in the peppermint extract. Stir to combine.
Then pour the chocolate onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread into a thin even layer. Optional, swirl the top for a design. Sprinkle crushed candy canes on top. Put the pan into the freezer until the chocolate has hardened. Once hardened brake into pieces and enjoy!
ABOUT US
Elisabeth: My greatest fear when I married was not knowing how to cook. My poor husband! I've come a long way since then catering weddings, hosting events for hundreds and last but not least feeding my own family of 8. They are always my willing guinea pigs. haha
My favorite thing in the kitchen is to make specialty drinks and bake.
Serenity: I've been my mom's helper since I was young but then in 2019 I married and moved across country from Arizona to the Kentucky Bluegrass state.
I love to cook and some of my favorite foods to make are salads, pizza and bread.

There are christmas sugar cookies that I make every Christmas that are a tradition in my family and are super delicious. They are sugar cookies that have vanilla buttercream or vanilla royal icing on them and you can decorate them any way you want and they are also in christmas cookie cutter shapes. I have been making them ever since I was seventeen and now I am 41 years old. Love them so much. They are a big hit every christmas.

Use a double boiler for melting chocolate - no risk of burning. I usually add half a teaspoon of peppermint extract....never tried an eighth. When using with a can of condensed milk for white fudge I used 1.5 teaspoons of extract Loved the idea of swirls on top! Plus I powder crush peppermint candies and sprinkle on thru a small wire colander. I like it powdery. Then I add the leftover chunks on top

My favorite Christmas tradition is 'Sprocking" the raw turkey .. We grab it by the wings, lift if high into the air in front of a window and say "SPROCK!" This gives it the chance to make one last flight to freedom before we throw it in the roasting pot! They all, curiously declined the release and never objected to the oven!

Note: many white chips are not White Chocolate, "they're just a like a white icing". The White Chocolate makes them so much better!
