I recently dry brushed a muted metallic I mixed with regular black acrylic and Vallejo Metal Color Copper and the effect was great. Did not think it would work as well as it did.

Scale 75 make my second favorite metallic range. My number one is Metal Color Series from Vallejo (although all the silvers are great, but the one Gold and the one Copper are not super). Heard great things about ProAcryl metallics being up there as well, but don't have enough experience with them to confirm that.

I love the gold, but I wish the copper wasn't so red in tone, it comes out almost orange. Have you said tried anthrax, greenstuff. It's dark but I like it, pro monument, or whatever, has a few good metals too. Little bright though

Your Black Metal pot has a broken cap. Had that happen to one of my alchemy pots as well. It can make your pot dry out over time. Scale has a wonderful custom support team that supplied me with new caps and a new bottle to boot, which was much appreciated. Army painter helped with a similar issue as well. Vallejo or AK on the other hand... not so much sadly.

I really appreciate TMM done at a high level like what some fantasy painters are able to achieve. Historical painters are great at TMM as well. TMM looks especially great in real life at SMC for example.

lovely. Also I think, you could achieve a similar effect using a good silver and dropping a colorful ink in it.

Generally I use equal part medium, paint and water

I my opinion if u black prime, zenith with silver (or spray silver where needed if u have an airbrush) and then use inks on top it could be even faster. Then u can have fun with oils on top to make em look sick. Also guys by mixing inks/contrast to silver u may obtain all the tones you want without going bankrupt.. you don't really need all the alchemy colours even tho I like scale75, especially artist paints ;)

I absolutely agree, but the aim is to do it with just the very basics. Not everyone wants or can use oils. So, agreed, but I wanted to keep this as simple as possible. Hopefully that makes sense!

@@phoenixminiatureart4193 I get it I get it I have nothing against your video that was fun to watch .. u know being black friday and all I feel the pressure of all the brands trying to sell me something so I guess my criticism comes from there I have really nothing against your tutorials on the contrary I like them. I just think that sometimes tutorials give the impression we need things .. we need specific colours.. a specific brand etc etc that we actually don't need: a beginner is in my op. perfectly happy to try mixing a contrast color with a silver paint. But then Contrast colours too may be obtained by just mixing acrylic inks and flow improver... I mean as warmers and collectors we are right at fire point of all this marketing bs right? This could be an idea for the future: a series of videos where u have 4 colours and some medium, brush.. water and that's it. I come from Monte San Savino where I saw some incredible stuff that was done with just that.

Please don't think I'm complaining, this is an interesting conversation. Also, I love this idea! I am going to do it, hobby on an absolute budget, with as little as possible! I also agree with you, we are sold so much stuff that we apparently need and it's absolute rubbish!

Like the color schemes they look straight professional. Havent seen many people use those metallic paints. How do you feel about vallajo metal color, they are air brush, but i use them for brush

I don't think they are bad, I prefer Scale 75 though, they are thicker and cover better imo
