I’m trying to grade it from Canada. On the shipping section there is another section asking “where it is shipping from” I’m just confused as to what to write there as it only allows US addresses
Appreciate it the closest to found was a psa 10 that was from the previous year that sold for 499.00 the joys of having a card out of a redemption pack numbered to 24
The submission is not difficult at all, the result is what is hard to take. I just got a Jordan 1986 rookie card back today that had been graded by PSA 25 plus years ago as a 6. The card is 55/45 on the sides and top at best, color perfect, corners sharp and surface good. It looks as good as the 9 that I have and I hoped to get an 8 and expected a 7. The card coat about $85 to get graded and submit. After 45 days I got it back in the same slab with the same grade and absolutely no explanation of the graded, just a check and initials on the sheet. I'm switching to SGC after this, cost is less and the cards sell for about 95% of what PSA same grade cards sell for. I had sent them 6 cards that had previously been graded by Gem Mint, a company that tends to over grade cards and all of these submissions came back as Mint 9 grades, originally they were graded as 10's which seemed a grade high so I'm happy with that. So for a total of $145 plus the $26 I paid for shipping I was able to get 6 cards with a value of about $2,500 graded and returned in 2 weeks.
So im just a collector pretty much , just back into it after stopped probably 25 yrs of not . Not gomna get many cards gaded but have a few i would like to have slabbed , this is my first submission. So i pulled a 1990 Reggie Jackson auto from a 1990 upperdeck box cant find much on them but if i use the regular value for up to $500 duel service it would only cost me $34.99 ? Thanx in advance and awesome video !
That’s correct and if you can’t find comps on that card that means they likely won’t upcharge you if it gets a high dual grade. Just make sure you are being honest about the current value of the card as you pick the submission tier. If they damage or lose the card they are only on the hook for what you declared as the value.
Declaring the value is more about replacement cost. Pretend PSA loses the card ... decide what $ amount would make you happy and is fair. Ebay sold isn't perfect but is decent for comps.
Just a regular printer is totally fine. You don’t need to print out stickers. Just a few forms and a bar code that you tape to the front of the package.
This shows the card and funko examples but you have to submit a different way for random objects and memorabilia. You go to autograph authentication on the main menu then select whether you want to slab or get a sticker / certificate.
