The Employer Sponsored Temporary Skilled Shortage (TSS) (Subclass 482) visa is the most common visa used by companies to sponsor employees in Australia.
Last year the TSS (subclass 482) visa replaced the previous 457 visa.

Hello. There is one question about 482 visa. That visa itself hasn't age restriction. But if we consider TSS to PR , are there some age restrictions?

Hi, yes generally speaking you need to be under 45 for different PR options (such as 482, 189 or 190)

Can I have another income through capital gains (owning stocks getting dividends and gains after selling them) if I have that visa? I know I can only work for the employer that offered the visa.

I have an experience of 6 years as a chef in overseas and 1 year in regional Australia and I know this Visa can be renewed only once in onshore. You would generally need to have either a relevant qualification and 2 years work experience as a welder. Or you would need 3 years of work experience. You would need to sign a full time contract

Hi,a pleasant day. I am currently under TSS 482 visa but short term only. even if it was medium long term, I would still be not eligible to acquire PR due to my age which is 47 years old. So, I venture working on regional area or somewhere on South West Coast where I read on the net about 482 DAMA Visa. The next problem is finding the suitable company. Currently I'm in Dalwallinu, North of Perth, a regional area. I'm in the process of applying at Shire of Harvey which is on the South West Coast side but I still don't have the right company to adopt me. Will you be of assistance or help with my dilemma? I was just trying hard to do this because I had brought my whole family here last November of 2022. Cheers Sonny Bernales

If you are 47, you will need to move to a DAMA area with a concession for that occupation. I would recommend you book into a consultation and we can run through everything in detail
