I remember when I did Halo 1 and 2 solo LASO. I didn't know about speedrunning or glitches at the time and it took 7 months of trial and error but I swore i would never do it again *Halo MCC comes out on PC* me: "I'll Fuckin' Do It Again"
i'm contemplating do it all again, i originally did it with my buddy but he doesn't have a PC anymore so i guess it's gonna be alot more painful riding solo, but also is it even worth doing if you have no one to share the pain with ? :/
@@MakoTheFrog it is painful but it allows you to respect how well a game is made as (at least in the Halo Trilogy) nearly every problem has a solution that exists within the game never did I find a part of Halo 1 or 2 where I felt I needed to cheat or restart a mission. it's nice to know they are so well made it's near impossible to soft-lock yourself out of completing the game something that Veteran difficulty in COD games have trouble with.

1:46 That's because there are two grunts there. The first one is the red grunt you shot and to the right of him is the orange grunt that you saw explode in front of you, mistaking it for the first one you shot.
15:40 is a basic showing on how difficult the level skip is in a nutshell. It always boggles my mind how speedrunners get it on their first or sencond try. Then there's me who just can't seem to get this skip down once in my life...
These LASO experience video are honesty one of the best Halo videos ive seen, always come back to them for a laugh, and to pump myself up for continuing LASO myself lmao.

I came back to watch this vid again after just beating Truth and Rec on LASO with my friend, we had many hopeless moments and felt like we were screwed when we had no sniper ammo but we just kept trying different strats and eventually it worked out. Took us 3 hours to beat and makes me feel better to come here and see it took you guys almost 7 lol
@@mr.diamond9399 Grab a gun, fire at least 1 round, hit reload twice and switch weapon once. If it's OG Xbox button layout, then it's X-X-Y, and you'll reload your weapon while having your other weapon out. It allows for a constant stream of fire, since you don't have to waste time in reload animations it helps a lot
So you know the super long grunt funeral boom in PoA? If you notice the grunt that explodes is orange while the one you killed was red, it must’ve been a chain reaction of grunts.
I found you guys maybe a couple of weeks ago. Me and a friend started Halo CE LASO at the same time, we've known each other for about 15 years. Watching you guys let's us know what to expect whilst making us laugh. Particularly when we say something like "STUPID MELEE SYSTEM!!" and see the exact same remarks appear in your videos XD
When it taked 9 seconds for that grunt to blow up, theres 2 grunts. The red one you killed and the orange one around the corner that died from the first one. I really enjoy how you guys havent figured out how to not shoot eachother in the back of the head after all this time
As a guide for anyone in the second mission "Halo", once you get to the three areas I recommend the order of Hill, Rock Cliffs, then Underground Base. You can take the warthog and force a checkpoint by entering or leaving one of the 3 sections every few kills or so.... cheap... but it's not a glitch so I used it.
This doesn't help you now, but I found that if you just leave that first area in the 2nd mission and walk all the way to where the terminal is walk back while in coop if the partner has died after a time, the covenant I guess get in their ship and fly away (I'm assuming they despawn following you being gone and no marines there) and you dont have to fight, merely go back for the warthog. So maybe I just saved someone from a tiny fraction of pain. I have yet to find a partner to go through LASO with. Everyone else is too scurred. You guys are heroes for doing this as a result.
Hey guys i watched all your Laso videos and I just beat Halo CE LASO today Halo CE LASO was very difficult but possible your Laso videos attempted me to at least for Halo CE LASO.

Funnily enough me and my brother did this, and on 3rd mission it also took us 3 attempts with the final attempt just hitting 4 hours. truly a horrible mission for LASO.
@@blitzsquidward5983 legendary all skulls on (laso) and as long as they are the point skulls you'll be fine. On the MCC their are playlists you can use.
On assault on the control room there is a way easier second drop that you go the opposite way after the first drop from the bridge and go to a rock around where the marines fight and what not
I'm watching this on the shitter just waiting for the cancer of Truth and Reconciliation to come. I remember being almost giddy after getting to the ship, forgetting that's the same damn mission.
At 8:50 it might seem like it was the grunt that killed him but it was actually the cannon from the center that fires up that actually has an extended hit box cause of the increased explosion radius. How do I know this one might ask. Cause I fucking died to that bs as well as my friend as we soon found out after.
Correction: those were two different Grunts in the small passageways. The one you guys killed was red. The one that exploded nine seconds later was orange.
I entered the battleship on Truth and Reconciliation and spent so long until I killed everyone. Then I proceed with the mission and I had to do the grenade jump. I failed like three times a jump that I usually do 1st try and out of hurry, I pause and press save quit real fast...Only that It wasnt save and quit... it was restart mission... I havent touched CE from this day
