I think it makes way more sense too. I don't think I'd wanna date a carbon copy of myself so... it's entirely possible that Dustin and Dirk have qualities outside of school performance that the girls like. I dunno, Angela could have a thing for blond guys who need nurturing cuz their dads died when they were young... Lillith could have a thing for athletic types and admire Dirk's smarts. Dustin could look up to Angela and find in her the nurture that he doesn't get from Brandy (because she has a toddler and another one on the way and she is broke)! Dirk could like the fact that Lillith is a little quirky and rebellious and see that underneath her bravado she's a sweet girl who is neglected by her parents and he just wants to be there for her. I ship the original relationships! ETA: I also love The Breakfast Club so Angela and Dustin are pretty much Claire and Bender, Lillith and Dirk are Allison and Andrew.

both Dirk Dreamer and Dustin Broke appear in Get Famous, its really interesting. also, they are probably super unrelated but i really like the idea that Lilith Vatore is connected to Lilith Pleasant somehow - i can picture Lilith Pleasant having an interest in the vampire lifestyle
It's not proofen, that it's the same Sims from Sims2. They look different, have different eye colors, face and bodyshapes. Sims4 is another universe, so it is probably Dreamer and Broke in another universe, with a different family history. But not exactly the same Sims.
@@SassySoda nah, Caleb is Angela. He realized that he wasn't a girl and had been being so girly to cope/hide from his parents. By time the twins get turned, he's transitioned, and is living as Caleb.
...but now Dustin and Dirk are in Get Famous and Angela and Lilith are in University...I kinda wish once you download both packs that they had an automatic relationship. That would be awesome.
THIS IS THE REASON WHY I LOVE SO MUCH THE SIMS 2. It has stories attached to it! You spend most of the video talking about sims 2. I really want more of that in the sims. (Also that's the reason why i loved so much StrangerVille)
I've remade the sims 2 sims in a sims 4 save file, setting up the relationships, affairs, enemies etc. Montys and Capps are in clubs that hang out at the same lot and fight with eachother. All Olives dead husbands are in her backyard. Even have Kaylynn legitly working as a maid for Daniel in it. It's on the sims 4 general discussion forum if you wanna try it.
Dude yeah! Like, i thought the stories they introduced in sims 4 couldve had more potential if the gameplay in the premade families actually matched what they were trying to deliver (like how in the caliente/lothario family the household description suggested that don had a thing with katrina and he was flirting with nina and dina too, but you actually go into gameplay and look into their relationships and see that everyones only acquaintances with each other lol) I think it could also help if the premade households in the sims 4 were actually connected with other households storywise, like how in the sims 2 the goth, caliente, dreamer, and lothario households all had connections to each other along with the pleasant, broke, and dreamer households, and that was just in ONE neighborhood!
12 year old me made Mary also have an affair with the maid and then I'd get bored and kill Daniel. THEN I'd fix the twins relation ship and switch their boyfriends. Love this series !!
I only switched the twins boyfriends around whenever I played, I'd start off with Angela being jealous and insecure of her sister getting along well with Dustin, so I'd have her cheating on Dirk and getting caught by Lilth. Resulting to Lilth and Dirk breaking up and eventually Dustin dating Lilth and breaking up with Angela
Imagining the twins with the other lads makes me so sad... I think they ended as grandparents in my game before Sims 3 came along. Opposites attract guys 😋
i regret starting with the sims 3 instead of 2, the pleasants were my favorite family to play. in my (very brief) game mary-sue left daniel but i didn't realize the parent literally moved out ON THE SPOT when divorce happened, so i sent angela to try and interrupt him but it just turned into this super emo thing of her chasing her dad down the street while he walked off with a suitcase and refused to turn back before he was gone. she cried a lot. it was bad. 100% my favorite sims game memory, because it actually _meant something._
Every time I played the Pleasants, I would always make Angela and Lilith make up and have Lilith do well in school. I think I sent her to university, too. Lilith was my favourite Pleasant tbh

I've played the Pleasants. Mary Sue and Daniel divorced, though she still cared for him. Lilith moved in with Coral and Herb oldie and helped them till they passed away, she then married Dirk. Lilith patched up her relationship with her mom, and is working on a relationship with Angela. She's ready to let the past go thanks to Dirk. Angela married Dustin but they don't spend much time together because they are so different. I don't know what will happen with them. Great video
@@Mistysmudge1 kinda right. There is no proof that it is the same Sims from Sims2, since they look slightly different (different eye colors and body shapes). Sims4 is another universe, so it's probably kinda the same Sims but they had a different family history in Sims4

I love these family history videos! I saw something about the Bella Goth conspiracy theories a while back and I couldn't find much about other families that definitely have a long history in The Sims games. I'm glad I found your channel!
My first playthrough of the Pleasants in Sims 2 both parents died within the first sim-week and I think that is the amount of tragedy that fits this bloodline so well

Once I played this family in the Sims 2 and Angella accidently walked in on her dad with the maid, and it let me make her and Lilith become friends, and Lilith started doing well in school (I like to think that means Angella started helping her) and they both grew up and got married to their respective boyfriends and I moved them all in together...
I love the sims lore haha I remember spending hours reading about the sims families and theories when I was younger. It's so nostalgic, thank you for this series!!
Dirk and Dustin were added into the Get Famous expansion and the twins were introduced in the Discover University pack. I wish they had some type of pre existing relationship though.
My favorite world in the sims 2 was veronaville. Particularly the monty family with Romeo and co. But i should often move his relative bianca in with them

I completely forgot how detailed the Sims 2 families and backstories. My games were destroyed in a move and I have only had the sims 3 forever. God I miss how the sims 2 had everything, they really lost a good sense of what the sims is in the new games
These history videos just shows how much the sims team cared more about the previous sims games and not sims 4. They couldn't even keep up with the iconic stories we all love.
The pleasents were one of my favourite families to play, in my play through Mary fell pregnant again after they worked on their marriage and I named their third daughter "Aura lee" Yeah...not the best choice after some one pointed out what it sounded like x-x
The Pleasant twins straight up kickstarted my attraction to redheads. The parent trap made me wanna be one, but Lilith and Angela started something that Ron and the Weasley twins later continued man. I've been haunted by ginger twins my entire childhood 😂
When my sister and I played the Pleasant family in the Sims 2, we managed to get Daniel and Mary Sue back together and they had a son. I forget his name right now, but he was a child the last time we played (we didn't play them much) and he had black hair like his mom. His sisters are both in college with their respective boyfriends. We actually played Mary Sue's parents, the Oldies, more. They adopted several children. I know the oldest two are both girls and currently teens and there are two or three more. As I've never played The Sims 3 (or 4) really, it was interesting to learn about the Pleasant families brief history in that game. Not sure how much we actually played the Pleasants in The Sims (1), but we did play them some.
I know it's years later but shit, I'd love to see one of these for the dreamer family. I had my sim marry into their family and the dad's memories caught me off guard tbh. The sims 2 had do many strong plot lines

Dirk Dreamer in TS4 and Dirk Dreamer in TS2 are unrelated. Like Holly Alto in TS3 and Holly Alto in TS4 are 2 different Sims. Idk about Dustin Broke though

I did a lot of things with the Pleasant family🙈 But I think one of my last and favorite things I did, was breaking them up, having them have new families, then reconsile them and they ended having a third child together💁🏼♀️ Jennifer Burb also always had twins when she got pregnant again, which I consistently names Layla and Luke, and Luke ended up being my favorite family to play😊

I absolutely love these lore drives because it makes me so nostalgic for all the shenanigans I got up to playing Sims 1 and 2 forever ago (and DANG I miss the memory system from Sims 2 SO MUCH). I absolutely love hearing the history I didn't know and being reminded of the history I did. 😁

I just discovered your channel and I've already watched all your time line videos. LOVE THEM! The Sims 2 is one of my all time favorites. When I played the Pleasant family, I had the twins reconcile as adults. Lilith married Dirk and Angela ended up with one of my created Sims. They left the parents to their own devices. I don't know sure how much history there is of the VeronaVille families. I LOVED playing every single one of them because I've always been a Big Shakespeare nerd. I would love to see a video on them all, The Capps, The Monty family, the Summerdreams(my #1)!
I feel really bad for Mary Sue. I always interpreted her as someone who went back to work once the kids were old enough to be home alone. So she's trying to move up and expects her husband to support her like she did him. And because she is trying to catch up she sort of drops the ball on her marriage but expects her husband to be supportive. Instead he bangs the maid.
Dirk and Dustin are both in he Sims 4 Get Famous but I've never played them actively. Then of course the Sims 4 is on a different timeline completely. I'd love for you to review the history of the Broke family soon!
I always considered Angela and Lilith's boyfriend's to be reflections of who they are. Thetideschanging did a let's play of the family and Angela was the instigater in a lot of the fights. Another way I few it is Dirk sees Lilith for who she is deep down and Angela sees Dustin for he is deep down.
These videos make me so nostalgic for the sims 2 games :,( and I really miss the big neighborhoods of families. It drives me crazy how there are only a few houses in each neighborhood of the Sims 4. And I hate that there is no memories... we traded memories for emotions... why we couldn’t have both??
