The Entire History of The Caliente Family

I have a story to tell involving Dina Caliente. A long time ago, I'd been playing Sims 2, and I'd married Dina off to Mortimer Goth in accordance with her reputation as a golddigger. He soon died, leaving her a pregnant widow. Immediately - and I mean _immediately_ - after she gave birth to their child, his ghost appeared and scared her to death. Cassandra and Don Lothario ended up having to raise the newly-orphaned baby. It was so wild, and just proves to me that the best drama is the kind the game randomly throws at you.

Has been playing sims 2 since release in 2004 and just now realized that the Caliente sisters have "alien" in their last name.

Interesting fact; “Estoy Caliente” in Spanish means “Im Horny”. Which might explain the sisters antics.

My theory about Bella's disappearance was always that she found him in the hot tub with the Caliente sisters and confronted him. Then Don got the sisters to help him get rid of her so she wouldn't tell Cassandra. She had her memory wiped and was dumped in Strangetown. The sims 3 added a new element which was that all 3 of his love interests found out about each other and used a time machine to get rid of Don.

Anyone else think maybe N-ina and D-ina were names after nester and dulcinea? Or just coincidence!

When it says that several women were laughing at Don when he got send away in the teleporter, then maybe Kassandra was there as well, as he was like married with her, right? Maybe all three women found out and decided to get revenge

I end up going into fulleditmode and fixing how the Caliente Sisters look in the Sims 4. Like they really whitewash their own characters and dress them in a complete mess of a way.

Sims 4 is very annoying and destroys the history of Sims completly. It just hasn't any love in it.

Thank you for pointing out the mess that is the Caliente's in The Sims 4. I hate that they ignored their Sims 2 mother for Katrina, and all of them are shoved into a house with Don. There's no way he can cheat with all 3 without them knowing, plus it's way less interesting that he's only cheating with all the Caliente's, instead of Nina and Dina, his maid Kaylynn and being engaged to Cassandra Goth. It was real cool that most of the Sims 2 families were all tied together in the story, but now everyone is so isolated and it sucks

I always imagined the several women to be the Calientes and Cassandra Goth. Cass is in the science career so she could probably whip up a teleporter. Just my two cents anyways. Love these videos!

I'd really enjoy a video about the Capp/Monty family feud from ts2!! That was one of my favorite storylines to play hehe I don't think they're in ts, ts3, an obviously not in ts4 but :( idk anything about the random families that are iconic but maybe don't appear in later games would be fun to!

Tbh Katrina being their mom in sims 4 seems like EA thought that any sim seen as middle eastern or Arabic was not marketable. Taking Nighat away and replacing her with “Katrina” seems like an insanely racist and shitty tactic to sell more games, even though it wouldn’t have mattered in the first place. They butchered almost every sim they recreated from previous games so honestly, what were any of us supposed to expect?

Dina Caliente in spanish is called "Mina Caliente" which literally translates to "Hot Chick" and I always assumed it was really her name and that it had to do with her personality, but now I found out that her original name wasn't Mina

The third lady in that "several" might be Kaylyn L., the maid who is also involved with Don in The Sims 2.

so in conclusion from all of these “The Entire History of...”, don lothario is a player

Well...the romance asperation is more into not marrying and having affairs

Alternative take: Don leaves Cassandra at the altar & the incident outs him as cheating on her with her aunts. She learns that the Caliente twins have alien heritage and is reinvigorated to investigating her mother's disappearance, this time from a different angle, with the aid of the non-golddigger sister. The aunts may have decided to punish Don for three-timing them, but especially for moving on their niece, by reverse-abducting him to the Sims 3. (Cassandra could have been In On It too but I think it less likely given the trauma she associates teleportation with, what with her mother's disappearance & her baby brother's time-travelling having potentially stranded him before his own birth)

the sims 4 version of the calientes is so different probably because (i’ve heard this but i’m not completely sure if it’s true) sims 4 is an alternate/parallel universe

So what if when they mean 'several' women it was Nina, Dina and Cassandra. Maybe even Bella. Those are all the women he wronged in TS2 by being a cheater and possible making Bella disappear. And that's why TS4 is a seperate timeline! Those women sent him into an alternate reality!

Maybe Cassandra Goth helped with Dina and Nina getting ridded of Don with teleporting. This of all the bad wedding vibes. Cassandra is smart enough to make an teleporting machine because of her carreer, hobby and scientistic genes (mortimer). Good idea or nah?

The Caliente Sisters have always been one of my favorite households ever in the sims series, but for some reason, I couldn't never get into their sims 4 story. I think because of like you had said it didn't quite make sense for this story for them in the sims 4 over what I had known and loved about them in the sims 2.

What baffles me most about their storyline in the sims 2 is how Dina isn't acquainted much as Cassandra and Alexander Goth's auntie.

What if Don Lothario being teleported is what created the alternate timeline? I don't know much about the riverview lore but we do know sims 3 takes place before sims 2 in the timeline. So basically Don Lothario was not only teleported but sent back in time. Maybe his actions created a separate timeline. During the sims 3 Bella goth was a just a kid meaning Dina and Nina would've been kids too and their mom would've still been alive. Maybe Don Lothario sought revenge and hooked up with their mom preventing her from drinking the youth potion. Since the caliente mom stayed alive the Caliente sisters weren't as trifling in the future lol. Since the calientes and don lothario weren't the same in this supposed new timeline Bella goth is still around etc. and that's what created the seperate timeline

I can't believe the sims 4 ruined the calientes by: - not giving them any actual significant plotline, I miss when people where theorizing they might have been involved in Bella's dissapearance in the sims 2. - Getting their personalities WRONG by giving them the WRONG traits - Making them ugly af, specially dina, she wouldn't use that karen hairstyle

I think that Nina, Dina, Kaylynn, and Cassandra all found out that don was cheating on them (and Cassandra also found out that he supposedly had something to do with her moms disappearance), and got revenge on him by making him use the time teleportation thingy

Wit my regards to the Don in Riverview theory, I always imagined it was Cassandra Goth finding out. She’s a Mad Scientist by this point and so she has access to a time machine. Also, I always have the Goth family using magic (ever since the back cover of Sims Makin Magic) so that could help maybe. An maybe she told all the other ladies that they’d all been cheated on so they got together and teleported Don. But your theory makes a lot of sense.

So I never got to play sims 2 since I’d just got Sims complete collection and was more interested in that and the console Sims games (Bustin’ Out) and the handheld games, so when I got sims 3 I just recognised a few names but just shrugged and assumed they were references. Plumbella, you made me realise that EA once thought things through and actually made interesting story lines~ Also, you’ve made every sim I recognise the name of SOOO much more interesting

The name Dulcinea is from "Don Quixote," and given that her kids are both named after Spanish dances, my guess is that she's named for the character in the ballet, rather than the long-ass book. The character in the ballet TECHNICALLY isn't Dulcinea, but Quixote thinks she is, which is what matters. This is her most famous dance. I’ve been watching your videos for literally like two and a half weeks because I’m so captivated by not only your deep research into the sims but also because of your accent and I thought I subscribed a long time ago but I didn’t so I’m sorry lmfao

Playing with this family was so weird, because in my country caliente doesn't only mean "hot"; they gave them that name because they were supposed to be sexy, I know; but younger me always viewed them as Mina (yes, Dina in Spanish is Mina) and Nina "Horny". In Mina's case it's even worse because 'mina' is a vulgar way of saying woman. So she literally was "Horny Woman"...

Ugh watching this feels like being 13 and getting to know the sims 2 characters for the first time. Love it ❤
