For those who don’t know Eloy, he is the kind of guy who studies drums 24h a day. He breaths drums, he eat drums, he talks about drums all day. He pursue drumming perfection since he was a kid. Some famous people who took drum lessons from him said that he is obsessed with perfection.

O encaixe do Eloy no Slipknot é tão perfeito quanto o de Bruce no Iron Maiden em 1981. Ele tem o groove tribal brasileiro que o Slipknot precisa.

The second I saw my first video of Eloy in Slipknot, I was all smiles. Dude just brought a whole new level to the band

Spot on. I see why they brought him onboard. Eloy brings the power, the groove, and the speed but not too much speed. I still respect Jay and what he brought to the band, but they are sounding more powerful than ever with Eloy and it's awesome.

It's incredible how much a quality musician can add to a band, the songs are more rhythmic in their correct tempo and nothing is run over... incredible.

I just finished listening all the videos on YT from last night's performace. He played so tight and amazing, didnt expect to hear such a difference compared to Jay.

Now imagine us brazilians feeling everything you described plus PRIDE. We've seen this boy grow up as a prodigy kid in television playing all genres, achieving as much as being Sepultura's drummer practically as a teenager and now this. I feel like a proud parent even being younger than him lol

Being a Brazilian Slipknot fan since the early 2000s and having watched many of your great covers, it brings me immense joy to see you pop up on my feed talking about it! Eloy is an absolute monster, and deserves every bit of recognition in the world. Words can't express how thrilled I am to see him in that position and I'm very excited for the band's future!!

He does Joey's vision and parts justice like, imo, no other drummer could. Sure there are some who could play the parts... but Eloy FEELS the parts. It's like a match made in Hell. \m/

Do you realize that we Brazilians are extremely proud of all this? I'm 33 years old, I remember that the last time I felt this happy was when we won the FIFA Cup in 2002, our fifth! After that, nothing was as exciting as seeing Eloy in slipknot, I saw little Eloy on television playing on a mini drum kit, he went to several television programs, and always followed his dream, and As if we were Eloy's father, there's no way to express this feeling of enormous happiness for Eloy! Thank you Eloy, I closed my eyes, and listened to Joey for several moments! Thank you Slipknot, incredible incredible!

Dudes, gotta say, I've been into some seriously heavy bands for ages, including Slipknot themselves, one of my all-time favorites since their first album. I've racked up hundreds of hours at shows, rocking out to some killer bands, BUT what I saw last night had me freaking out and buzzing in a way I can't remember happening before. The sheer brutal force Eloy brings to that drum kit is something else. Some might think I'm exaggerating, but believe me (seriously!) Eloy's debut show as Slipknot's drummer is already legendary! And you know what's even cooler and badass? This new chapter for the band is just getting started. Onward, Slipknot! Onward, Eloy Casagrande! Caras, tenho que dizer, tenho sido fã de algumas bandas muito pesadas há anos, incluindo o próprio Slipknot, um dos meus favoritos de todos os tempos desde o primeiro álbum deles. Já acumulei centenas de horas em shows, curtindo algumas bandas matadoras, MAS o que vi ontem me fez arrepiar e vibrar de uma maneira que não me lembro de ter acontecido antes. A força brutal com que o Eloy tem tocado essa bateria é algo incrível. Alguns podem pensar que estou exagerando, mas acreditem em mim (sério!) o show de estreia do Eloy como baterista do Slipknot já é histórico! E sabem o que é ainda mais foda e incrível?
