Welcome to the shitshow! And thanks for the sub! I cannot recommend learning in an open parking lot, BUT there’s a group of drifters on the island who host legal events! There’s a FB group called Long Island Drifts. Join up and learn from some REALLY good drifters. I have a video from one of their events if you scroll back to September
For me, it's that EVs are too expensive, and there is no market for used EVs. It's also just moving from fossil fuels to rare earth minerals (lithium & cobalt). There isn't a good way to recycle the batteries yet. Infrastructure is not there yet for EVs. Also, what are people in apartments going to do? Also, to me, EVs are just soulless. If we really wanted to save the environment, the government should invest in trains & public transportation - giving people options other than being forced to drive.
Bingo. But also IF they REALLY wanted to fix the climate crisis, they should ban the production of new cars in general, and have car factories retool for maintenance and maybe hybrid pack conversions of existing ICE cars.
@@CountersteerGarage it should, and it’s the only thing that could counter the consumer way of life we have, leading to the climate crisis. We simply can’t produce ourselves out of the climate crisis by producing millions of new EVs to replace the existing ICE cars.
