The order in which they announced the televoting votes is so confusing and unexciting, I'm glad they changed it to "from lowest in the current ranking to highest" now, the televoting vote announcement was great in 2021!
They announced the countries starting from the lowest to the highest televoting points. This way it’s easier to know who won the televoting. I think it’s boring cuz they didn’t show all of their reactions.
Sweden getting only 21 points in the 2021 announcement scheme would have been even more epic. Poor Benjamin though, I think he was great and he deserved better.

I hated so much the guy from Netta's team that was saying "Italy, Italy, Italy", when they announced the third position of the public vote, that is very rude because the Italian team was seeing. Very disrespectful.
Actually, I think they told the hosts in their headphones that they were about to reveal the points to Cyprus next up, and she probably just got confused what to say and she revealed Cyprus too early instead of saying Austria.
Well, Cyprus acually won eurovision 2018 but bc its a small country and doesnt have a BIG theater or something for ppl to come for eurovision 2019 , they gave they're wining position to Israel... 😔🥺🤧
The fact that Eleni gain so many fans in just 4 days, it is a victory...who else in the history of eurovision went from 20th position to the 1st in the odds in just 2 days?? plus she made the whole world, arena and press room to sing along the lyrics, the top youtubers were talking about her and even had live videos with her, Jean Paul Gaultier also met her in person, New York Times wrote about her...because of Eleni, Cyprus became the top topic of Europe this past week... so yes Netta won the position, but Eleni won the hearts of people, and she is a winner in many other ways!!! Thank you Eleni for the wonderful Journey :)
Thank you Europe for NOT overhyping the Swedish entry like the juries do EVERY year. Sweden receiving 21 points from the public was my highlight of the night.
jurys can music, thats why sweden got a lot of points. the public do not understand real music. Also other countries wanna be friends with sweden in the music world bc swden is the 3 biggest music-country.
Nah, the juries did the right thing on that one. I don't want juries, but their low points to Italy was justied. This competition isn't only about lyrics. Music and performance is important too. They didn't bring the latter.
I dont understand why they are spending so much time to present the score results from a 5 people jury (with greater analysis) but the millions of votes from the ordinary people/fans are being presented in a few seconds!
because jury votes are easier to gather....televoting needs to gather all the votes from every country, short them at 1-12 points and ad them all together, so they use that time for that procedure. Also showing televotes in summary country by country creates more tension, while with the old system sometimes the winner could gathered all the high rank points and be mathematically winner before every country gives out its points
I really don’t understand why he was so underrated with jury.. i guess it was cause he was opening the show but he was so amazing that it’s so weird being so low. Mel was robbed.. i can’t handle this crime
I live in Cyprus and that night I went over to my friends house with all my friends and when we saw Cyprus going up in the ranks we were getting so hyped but when Israel won everyone started swearing and screaming in rage and when Netta went on stage and started singing my friends dad threw the remote to the TV and broke it.
I saw that as well! Very rude and uncalled for, how the Israeli delegation just pushed him away from Netta when he wanted to congratulate her. Apologies are in order. Disgusting behavior.
It pissed me off too and I'm an Israeli one. I wanted to slap Doron right in the face! I was "Stop for God sake! He wants to congratulate her!!! Let him!! It could have been such a beautiful moment!"
I can't believe how are those juries unprofessional... I mean their only job is to stop neighbour voting and to stop weird songs to do well... btw, I just found about the fact that got 1 set of 12 points in first semi - final by televote (Czech Republic), but *7* from the so called "proffesional jury" ( Armenia, Austria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Finland, Spain)
I think it's funny that at the 2021 competition everyone says, that only the televote should count. And in 2018 Netta won the televote and the people are still pissed and call it rigged. I understand, that it may wasn't your favorite act, but come on. Eleni didn't win the televote or the jury vote
people are angry with netta just because she presented her message in the most unique way possible(just like måneskin tells us) and eleni is shakira/beyonce/jlo of cyprus and i didnt understand the hype over her while tamta was as equally good as her and netta definitely deserved to win ‼️‼️‼️

The Real winner is whoever won (also won the televoting), and hosted an amazing Eurovision show, aka Israel. Netta really showed in this Eurovision why she deserved to win, so you might as well let it go, it's been over a year.

This is a SONG contest as you said. A song won. The meaning of the song is about anti bullying. So stop being that mean, she did a nice thing and at least it has some deep meaning unlike the meaning of the cyprus song.
In every famous song there is a deep meaning of what the writer feels about. Netta went bullying so she made a song about it, and also with a great purpose to stop bullying.
Italy was a dark horse wasn't it? I didn't expect it to come third in the televote at all! And I'm really proud of the Czech Republic for getting fourth highest televote score this year and coming sixth. It's their best result ever :)

What about singing a song without a stroy and messages? Jamala didin't deserve to win, Italy didn't deserve to win, when Hungary was in 2015, it didn't win, you don't mention it, it actually did very poor, there are many songs with messages, but why only Italy has to win?

In my opinion, they should get rid of the juries or reduce their power to 25%. It‘s just ridiculous how they voted. The people should decide who their winner is.

The jury and the television votes were VERY different from most of the countries. FIVE people should NOT be aloud to control 50% of the results!! LESS POWER TO THE JURY!!
Louise Christiansen But without the juries Albania would have finished way lower than 11th. Both juries and televoters made dumb decisions. Juries highly overrated Sweden, underrated Denmark and televoters highly overrated Cyprus, Moldova and Israel, and underrated Albania.

vasia 77 agree with you. On my opinion, Netta song is cool, it's funny and dynamic. But EQUINOX made really powerful and great song, and their vocal is strong, each of member. It's kind of song, whitch I want to see on contest like that. I didn't even hope for 1 place, but it's must to be in top 5 :(

I'm from Sweden and I have never laughed so much in my fucking life. It's just fucking embarrassing how seriously we take this competition. The Swedish commentators reaction when we got 21 points was just priceless. They thought we actually had a good chance of winning up to that point lol.
Let's be positive and tell what results I'm happy with 1 Ukraine high up in the televote 2 Germany so high up 3 Italy so high up by televote 4 nobody got zero points 5 the netherlands getting points from eastern Europe (This was just funny as a dutchie 6 denmark being high up in the televote 7 Albania having a good result 8 Sweden not in the top 5
ENDCER Albania was close to the bottom in the odds, but ended up in 11th place. That's a huge jump! I am still dissapointed they missed the top 10 because of Moldova. Thanks televoters...
Sami Salami I'm swedish and I couldn't stop laughing when we only got 21 points from the voters. We are usually in the top, but we sent a really bad song and a bad singer this year.

I’m here in 2023 and still very annoyed at the juries for consistently overhyping Sweden every single year. I love Sweden but it’s infuriating to watch them always score so well with the juries when they don’t deserve to especially when comparing to other countries when they clearly have better entries.
Actually, it's the first winner song since 2015 that I listen in my free time and it's catchy as hell. I feel so sad for Ukraine, they deserved top 10 (juries, wtf). Pleased by Austrian, German and Italian results, wanted France to place higher.
Seriously, seeing Denmark get ignored by the jury and so close to the bottom, but then freaking get placed as 5th in the televoting and jump right into the top 10; SURREAL AND AMAZING!
I don't agree. Cyprus had a cool song and all but Toy had so much meaning packed into a song that's an absolute banger. People might not agree but I just really love Netta. I'm so glad that she still uploads really amazing songs
Things I didn’t like: As always, BIG 5 is underrated (France 13th??? Spain 23rd???). Why is Finland 25th????? Also, Montenegro gives 12p to Sebia, SOOO UNFAIR. I’m starting to doubt about the how professional is the jury, why was Austria first and Sweden second??? Why you put Ukraine last and Denmark just above them???? Italy, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ukraine - Polish people know how you feel! Honestly, I'm glad that Poland didn't go to the final. I finally wasn't sad because of how much jury hurt polish singers every year. But they hurt another countries anyway... so bad.
Still, Poland gave the biggest amount of votes to Ukraine along with Belarus and the Czech Republic. No doubt if Poland were in the final it would get much more points than the jury would give.

I was in the arena that night, crowd went wild during those big moments such as Sweden! And as an Irish fella scared for his country's record, I'll admit that moment was fairly juicy!
