I’m going to miss this show. I’ll be doing a live stream discussion about the series finale on Saturday at 6pm ET with BenjaTV and the guys from Bald Move ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gUcPK3BvCCA.html. I have plans to do a video about Duarte and Laconia. What else do you want to see? Tell me what you liked the best about the final season.
I think it would be amazing if you made a video summarizing what happens in the books after the series (or a video for each book... not sure how much content the remaining books would create). Oh, and is there more to the "strange dogs" story or did they show us everything that was contained in that novella?
Firstly I will miss the writing. It is unusual for scripts to be so consistently good. And this show [ and the books] remain outstanding right to the end.. Secondly I will miss the ensemble of actors who fleshed out this tale so perfectly. At present there is nothing I know of to replace it. A genuine shame that the powers that be have chosen to let it end prematurely.
I saw someone suggest it earlier, but it feels like that last scene between Naomi and James were aimed at the audience. "But what about all this other stuff" Is the audience and "lets just wait here a minute" is the team addressing it, as they said in interviews, they feel this is a pause not the end.
Did you notice the names of the troop assaulting the rail guns? J Rico (Starship Troopers), D Idaho (Dune), E Ripley (Alien) W Riker (Star Trek) ect... Classic!
It is ‘Top 3’ for me personally. It’s hard to compare because how effects and the experience have changed but those Top 3 for me are: The Expanse Babylon 5 Battlestar Galactica (the new one) Those are NOT in any order, just how I rank them in my head over the others in the next tier down……
The reveal of Duarte as the real bad guy and puppet master and Marco being a useful puppet was very satisfying as a book reader. Marco disappearing because of the entities was the best. They have very nicely set up season 7. I hope they get to make it in future. The Laconia scenes through the season make little sense without a season 7.
Maybe a new series, I heard that the remaining books are set after a time jump after all, i don't know much about seried creations or whatever, but I think making a new show is easier to do than trying to expand to more seasons right?
The way the Laconia b-story was setup through this season and left mostly unresolved leaves me with a lot of hope that we'll get another season or limited series. This was a perfect conclusion to allow for the time-jump that happens between Babylon's Ashes and Persepolis Rising.
It makes sense to set up a new series with those characters we have been introduced to, while at the same time ending the current series arc. However none of that has been confirmed
Given the compressed final season I thought the unresolved Laconia scenes took away from time that could have been used for the main plot. I’ve not read the books so these scenes were inexplicable.
i think they did it in a way that acknowledges that there is more. sets it up if they can find a way to finish the series, or at least encourage show-only people to read the books if they cant make that happen. the next 3 books are essentially a 3-parter. so you could do it in a miniseries or 3 direct to streaming movies, or even condense it into a single movie for the cliff notes version. i suppose they could scan the sets or at least break down and store the roci set, if they haven't already.
Finally a series finale that was elegant, emotional, action packed and didn’t disappoint! What an amazing job they’ve done - the actors, producers, special effects, costume department.. all of the Expanse family! You can be proud! Amazing achievement!❤️👏
Hear, hear. Aside from the steam jets with Clarissa in the reactor room. Other than that tho, it was VERY well done. A great piece of storytelling. This is what sci-fi is at its best. In the centuries to come, our foresight as embodied in this genre will be an esteemed contribution of this present to the grandure and funk of our hopeful and perilous furniture.
@@thisisnotmyname9044 Well Siddartha you have very high standards. And, given the handle, very high aspirations. Pick up the pen yourself then and enlighten us.
@@larrybuzbee7344 I came hear to say, Hear Hear and was beaten to the punch. While I would love the other books to be made and they did set it up, they concluded the series very well.
As a season finale it didn't disappoint. IF it really is a series finale, it will have left a lot to be desired (explained and told). They were still building up the protomolecule arc even during the end credits.
I've never been on the edge of my chair like I was for this episode. When Marco began dissolving I actually gave him the finger, that's how intense this series has been for me. They hit this OUT OF THE PARK. Bravo.
I LOVED all the action and tense moments in the last episode immensely. However, I would love some more seasons(even just 1 more). The show should go on as long as ALL the Star Treks combined.
@@annegonzalez8026 It's open for exploration and more stories even after Book 9, IYKWIM. I'm not sure what it would be in this case, what's the stakes are gonna be. Would it tell stories of the Colonies or back to Sol. Humanity is on their way of achieving technological godhood thanks to technologies based on protomolecule. They use it for new alloys production, for food. I don't know if it should. Maybe Alfa-Centauri or some other close neighborhoud star colonization and a good story.
Middle fingers all around the world, methinks. Nevertheless, as Holden rightly pointed out, he wasn't all wrong. A lot of serious character flaws interfering with and corrupting what was, essentially, a righteous cause. ...and a terrible man-bun (rip)
A both heart-warming and gut-wrenching finale. It's been one hell of a ride. Hopefully this is not the actual end, considering all the hints towards future events.
The Expanse writers have said the series is on “hiatus” meaning there are indeed future plans for the Expanse on Amazon Prime. Hopefully we see Philip turn into the leader that Marco wasn’t. With Naomi’s compassion and Marco’s determination I think he’d be a great leader, maybe even rival James Holden after a few years and some more experience.
"The most thrilling assault sequence, ever seen on T.V." No Kidding! Visually stunning as Amos is thrusting through battlespace on his ejector seat after launching from the pod. My jaw dropped. Then the assault from the station on the guns, and Draper all gung ho, with Amos and the Roci coming to save the day. Couldn't have expected anything more thrilling or captivating.
The Amos landing one-shot really reminded me of Battle of the Bastards, and while I still think that sequence probably remains the most impressive television sequence ever filmed, this is certainly no slouch and in many ways just as intense. And to think that it wasn't even the best moment of that setpiece (Bobbie's stand and the Roci rescue was even cooler in my book), let alone the episode is absurd. A phenomenal finale that provided a satisfying conclusion to both the characters and themes of the show, in addition to including some of the series' most exciting moments. Really incredible!
@Bonny Hammer TBF I couldn't care less about the Laconia stuff, I'd rather have seen more of the main story. It just came across like a time consuming distraction to me.
@@alanobrien9362 the events on Laconia aren’t unimportant to the greater story. The “strange dogs” awaken, like the other Protomolecule tech on and orbiting the planet, because of the sample the Free Navy delivered as payment for their MCRN toys. This show alluded to S5 events in its first season. They don’t waste time presenting other storylines unless it matters.
@@ashlevrier Think about it for a second, all it took was a single power armored Martian Marine to destroy that rail gun…. If you send more than one, your chances of the rail gun surviving the conflict diminish considerably :-) Sadly, a lot of good people died for nothing in that scene because Holden and the gang were trying to take the rail gun intact…. Which was a fools errand from the beginning. The objective should have been to disable the rail guns one way or the other, preferably destroying the reactor so that they could be repaired and brought back online later. The idea of capturing them intact and then immediately using them against Marco…. Should have been immediately dismissed as highly unlikely. The free Navy would have to be absolutely brain dead to design a command and control system that doesn’t have a lockout involved to prevent the enemy from using it. A lot of good people died trying to capture something that they had a snowballs chance in hell of being able to use. If the Rocie could shoot Medina station, they should have shot the reactor and silenced the gun.
Naomi's scream, Filip becoming his own man, Drummer's strength, Clarissa's redemption, Amos' s beaming smile, Bobbi finding a home, Avasarala's arrogance and foul mouth, Holden ever the wild card, the hubris of Marco Inaros. Some of the best explorations of all the potential for greatness and darkness in the human condition has been captured in science fiction television in particular. From Dr Who to Star Trek to Babylon 5 and so much more, the Expanse continued this rich tradition. Thank you for 6 years of required viewing and a worthy finale. All set up for a movie down the track?
The issue with a movie IMO is from an economical standpoint it would have to made in a way it would appeal to audiences who know nothing of the series and the backstory, difficult to do, and if they do it, it would likely kind of piss of series viewers...
"Hudson", "Hicks", "Rico, "Idaho", "Riker", "Ripley",.... God, I love the Expanse writers' Eeaster Egg game. They were checking in before that final assualt and I was just sitting there with a big goofy grin on my face as each name was rattled off.
I came here just to see if anyone else noticed. That was awesome. That was the same monitor when the M577 Armored Personnel Carrier went below the Atmosphere Processor to get the workers and then got their asses kicked. Drake: Let's Rock .... pew pew pew Gorman: Dammit who's firing? Apone... talk to me. Apone... talk to me..... Ripley: He's dead.
@@MrAnthonyDraft Jack O’Neil with one L is the name of Kurt Russell’s character in Stargate the original movie. Richard Dean Anderson’s character in Stargate SG-1 had two Ls. When I first posted I thought this was mostly the Aliens crew but on another site almost all of the name on the screens have been identified as characters out of famous space sci-fi series.
Anyone else hoped there would be one last X-Ray "One Ship" of Filip Nagata all alone in his little ship reflecting on trying to bring more light into the dark of the Expanse or something similar?
I didn't know about The Expanse until summer of 2021, but once I did, I was instantly obsessed. I watched all 5 seasons within a week or two, then rewatched all 5 seasons like a month after. Then after the release date of season 6 was announced, I started reading the books and rewatching the first 5 seasons side-by-side to catch the differences. Managed to finish the first five books before season 6 started, and then I read book 6 at a slower pace to not get ahead of the show. I'll of course continue all the way to the end of the 9th book, but I sure hope Amazon decides to make more seasons someday. They can't leave people hanging with that post-credit teaser like that, with only the book to look forward to (especially since the book and the show have diverged significantly enough already). During my initial watch, I ran into your channel, and have watched many of your very comprehensive videos about the series. Thank you for the great videos!
For All Mankind, Strange Things, Foundation, Lost in Space and Black Mirror are other fantastic sci-fi series just off the top of my head. It's next to impossible to pick a "best"
I remained skeptical of this season all the way up to this last episode. They did indeed stick the landing. I didn't think they'd be able to do it in one episode, they proved me wrong yet again and I'm super happy about it. Off to go watch this season again probably in one sitting this time.
I have not read these books, but will eventually. I absolutely loved the show. Over the years as the series progressed I would often tell my friends it’s the most realistic sci-fi show I’ve ever seen. I cried a little but at the end, when Holden resigned to Drummer, when Amos laid his body over Bobbie’s, when we saw that Filip escaped. I love the proto molecule plot line and definitely want to know more about that. I watched Season 1 episode 1 the other day and it’s just amazing to see such a progression of story. Anyway, great video. I hope there is a future series that centers more around the ring gate and entities and all that jazz.
I was hesitant to read the books because hey, I was already thru book 6 from watching the show. But I can say reading them all was absolutely worth it for me, if for no other reason than to learn more about the 'unknown aggressors'. So you should definitely read books 7-9. But I'm a big fan of the authors' style, so I found it worth the money ($100) to read them all.
Well if we ever get the remaining books adapted, we'll get a lot more the builders/entities! But either way, they're a good read. There's enough different from the show that they're worth reading from book 1.
Read / listen to the books. You will not regret it. The show was just a little fast for me. I felt the books did not visualize enough - good for you, you already know what things look like.
The Expanse is a masterpiece. This is the one show I recommend to people in withdrawal after watching Arcane. For those in withdrawal after this finale and want more, I also recommend Arcane.
It seems to me that the show runners would not have gone to the trouble of casting Winston Duarte if there were no plans to continue the story in some form. He is the main antagonist in the third trilogy of stories. For those who haven't read the books, he's sort of a combination of Holden and Marco Inaros. He dose horrific things to achieve his goals, he has an enormous ego that supports his self righteousness, but he is a genuinely loving father who believes he's doing the right thing for humanity. A very interesting character. Read the books.
It makes since to have those scenes even if they think it's 100% over. It wouldn't be the first or even second time the show came back from the dead. Why not set the stage for the possibility?
They invested alot of runtime to Laconia so I'm guessing they have plans for it in the future. Otherwise I dont understand showing Xan and Cara at all.
@@jojoadeyemi8239 The kids origin isn't very important as far as tying events on Laconia to the Marco storyline. It would have been better spending that time with scenes between Duarte and Cortizar.
I was sad too. I don't want this show to end, i hope they'll continue it because the story is far from over, haven't read the books but i know there are more stuffs in the books.
I was very sceptical about this final season when I heared it has only 6 episodes. But I must say that the end was very satisfying. Everything has sense and sends a good message. From me, A+ for this series 🙂
I'm sure book readers are disappointed [they had to make deep cuts .. right??] and while I feel the final episode could have been a 2 hour episode I think they did a good job telling a coherent story, coming to a satisfying ending, while still leaving enough open for future possibilities.
If you base the timeline for the show versus the books on Carissa it should only be 5 years in the future not 30 for the next installment for the show.
I have _complex_ feelings over this being over now, but I am very satisfied with how it was executed. Other showrunners take note: this is how you end a series and do it justice.
Sure everything working out perfectly is soooo ingenious, soooo courageous. Sarcasm Most endings to most stories are less than that's why actual great endings like Usual Suspects or Fight Club or Secret Window are celebrated so. This was just an ending, that's all And if they never actually get to finish and so those 2 major storylines of Cara and Admiral Duarte are just left in a vacuum like that? Then its actually a terrible ending
Naren, Ty, and Daniel are so good at surprising book readers while not deviating too much from the source material. There was the Drummer fakeout in 3x13 that was great, but I was completely fooled by both misdirects in 6x06. Surprising, but still satisfying--which is probably the best way to describe this incredible finale (particularly considering some recent finales that seem to only manage one of the two...)
Loved the finale. It's really sad to see the show end, and what's even sadder is knowing that the best part of the whole story may never be adapted to screen.
Just loved how Filip put his surname in is Nagata. Great season finale, really enjoyed the build up for the battle scenes. And Amos laying on Bobbie to protect her.👍🇭🇲
An incredible season finale. I'm at a loss for words. Crossing my fingers and toes for books 7-9 being adapted to the screen. Peace and Love. Papa Bless.
Even though Naomi was at odds with Marco, I'm sure the primal scream was also because she believed the father of her child and her child vanished into a protomolecule purgatory.
Spoiler Warning One thing I always thought missing from the books was some point, during the years after the end of the Free Navy, when while perusing endless streams of data, Naomi happens across a reference to ‘Filip Nagata’ complete with a video clip of he … and his family….
@@nomdeguerre7265 I disagree based on Nagata's closing monologue that resonated with keen insights steeped in emotional intelligence . At one time Naomi loved Marco and conceived a child with him. The wave of emotions she exhibited sounded in more than just grief. It was a total cathartic experience for Holden's XO.
Perfect. Excellent finale. Thank you to the writers, producers, and actors - y'all stayed with the novel...loved the addition of "famous sci fy characters" 🥰 cried at several scenes...just awesome way to close this part of The Expanse.
They absolutely should complete the series. Not sure why Amazon would drop it, while I know it was a costly production I am sure it absolutely had a viewership return and you can bet rerun/binge for years to come.
Totally doesn't make sense either that amazon dropped it because Bezos was a fan of the show and made a point of saving it when sci-fy channel dropped it. I guess his foray into real space recently meant he got bored of the make believe space. I guess the show working as a loss leader just didn't sell amazon prime subs like they thought it might.
@@padanfain7466 even weirder that they barely promoted it. Why do I have to spend time searching for their original show? It should be at the top of the app
Been waiting for this one! It's sad that this might be the last recap video of the Expanse ever (if not, for a long while). Loved watching all the videos up till now and your detailed breakdowns. Looking forward to more content soon
@@PetePeppers1 Don’t worry. There is enough material for An Expanse II.. After a well deserved pause, they will be back with lots of financial back-up (I would finance if I was some media mogul, right now !) In two years we’ll be back….
Now that was an ending!! Action packed, great acting, and a satisfying arch for the Characters. Thank you to everyone involved with the Expanse. Bravo 👏👏👏
I'm in total denial of this being the last episode. This was a fantastic episode. This show has been a part of my life since June of 2020, while recovering from back surgery. It's so hard to Let it go, so I won't, I'll hold on to HOPE that someday in the future, we will see our these wonderful characters again. 😌
"Realistic, relatable characters, who also happen to fly around in spaceships" Perfect quote for the expanse. I'm glad I binged just in time to watch the last season
Glad you mentioned the assault teams on the Ring Station. Lots of good folks represented there. Going to miss this series, but I see myself going back and watching it over and over again. Thank you for all your insight on it.
"..I’m sorry it won’t continue but I’m glad it ended here, this way." Well, we'll see about that... If the viewer numbers are high (I suspect they will be), I can envision Amazon greenlighting the finale books for the screen.
Season 6 got me into the books, and as a book reader now I have to say, read the books everyone, because they're great and make up for the otherwise premature end of a great series.
Mr Pete Peppers, thank you so much for your accompanying videos to The Expanse series. It’s been an absolute joy and I can’t wait to watch more of your content. So say we all
The fact that its ending like this is possibly a good thing. It'll give the show time to breath and allow ppl who've missed it to get in, and if there is another chance for its revival, it'll pull ppl in just like what happened with me.
They should've kept the show going on the other side of the portals/gates. Like have this whole "wild west" thing going with the factions pushing into unknown territory. There is so much they could've done with that but they made up some dumb plot that forces the same old factions to fight with each other again.
Clarissa's prognosis (of 5 years left to live) is different from the books in a way that tells me, if they get the opportunity to continue the story on TV, could mean a shorter time jump than was the case from book 6 to book 7 (ie they would need to return in less than 5 years rather than the 2-3 decades in the books). Meaning they could continue to tell the story without recasting any of the actors. This gives me more hope that The Expanse will be back on TV at some point
They wouldn't need to recast any of the actors even if they skipped 3 decades. They could easily age the actors aesthetically and with the anti-aging drugs that they have available at some point in the 3 decades that pass make them appear on the far end of middle aged rather than 80 year old seniors. It could work. But.... I agree they likely won't skip 30 years. 5 seems to be not enough though, considering all that changes in the universe in the timeskip in the books. Either way it'll be interesting to see what they do.
@@thelemmiebee Tbf, considering the average life expectancy in expanse, you'd barely have to age anyone that much. People just seem to age slower in the show.
Loved it… specially on second watch. A few years off + maybe we get the last 3 books where it gets really crazy. What a story, what a show. Hats off to all involved + to u Pete for wonderful content throughout :)
The assault on Medina station was amazing. The whole 5 min intro of the 6 final episodes at least explained how the Proto molecule evolved on the planet and how it allows beings to be immortal. They left that unanswered as the two siblings ran off into the forest... As for Duarte that man was a genius. He got his people off of mars into their own system, setup shop in an alien world that is habitable, keep a protomolecule sample AND trick Marcos into staging a diversion war. And all it cost him were a few Martian ships. Talking about an amazing deal.
Pete, I have a HUGE request. Since the next 3 books won't be made anytime soon or at all, I will most likely read the final 3 books to find out how it all ends with the protomolecule. I know that the tv version differs from the actual books. Many characters are different like Drummer and I am sure that Dawes and Alex are probably still alive. Can you make a video that would help the tv viewers transition to book 7? It would be nice to understand how and why book 7 characters are portrayed. I know this is a big request, but it would be one reason for you to make an extra video on The Expanse, and you would be helping a LOT of folks... Either way, it's been a hell of a ride, and you added to my enjoyment of this series. Thank you, Jason
@@JebacMiro But he isn't unimportant. He's the reason Inyalowda and Beltalowda finally sat at a table to talk about the future of all humans. Not to mention that killing millions (billions in the books) of Earthers will put him in history books for the next few centuries or millenia. The way he died is... well just the way he died. I don't have a problem with a characters arc getting cut kind of suddenly if it fits with the overall story narrative like IMO it did here. Remember how Fred died in the books? Alex would be a great example as well but his death in the series was a whole different thing so the execution wasn't the best possible.
It was a wild ride, the ending exceeded my expectations! I liked that Filip decided that his father was too ideologically possessed to be reasoned with, therefore he went off to find himself essentially and be his own man. I know the producers have said the end is not an actual end but a pause of sorts, there is still a lot of story to tell and I think they've mentioned a Laconia spin off. But my favorite scene was the Pella beginning to cross and the entities waking up, it was like a big predatory animal being swallowed up by a larger predator.
Thoroughly enjoyed the season, and the whole series, in addition, all the videos that you made, you helped me understand the story more and gave great insight without revealing spoilers, great effort sir!
I really never leave comments but I do want to thank everyone involved with “The Expanse” for a AMAZING experience over the years. An absolutely beautiful show!
Thank you Pete for covering the Expanse. For me, I have to pick Seasons 2 and Seasons 3 as the best in the series. Sad to see the show end, very grateful we got 6 seasons. Have heard Ty Frank say having one loose thread rather than 50 storylines unresolved is not the worst case. In that vein, what a great and entertaining show. Each character we've encountered in the series has been so compelling. However, I can't help feel that not getting to see more of of the protomolecule is a bit sad...that storyline is so epic it deserves to be told on screen in my opinion. It's what propelled and really hooked me on the show. Here's hoping that there may be more Expanse on our screens at some time in the future! .
Completely with you on this one. Season 2 and 3 were breathtaking from start to finish. That being said, S4 S5 and S6 were great additions to the story and shone in their own light. Guagamela(S5e04) was probably the best episode of the show.
Thank you for your superb recap of each episode this year. They brought additional depth to the series. Hopefully there will be future seasons of Expanse spin-offs so I can enjoy your recaps down the line. Good luck on your ongoing endeavors!
It's refreshing to have a series end in a way that is true to itself and its characters. The creators didn't subvert expectations or throw in unrealistic twists. They knew what The Expanse was, what is audience expected, and they stuck the landing. What a great series.
As an older fellow who fondly remembers Babylon 5, I was really pleasantly surprised with the Expanse. Series 1 was a bit slot but it started accelerating and boy, was I glad to catch it all! Well done to the entire team of The Expanse!
Great way to close. I suspected Filip would leave his father and he did. Looking forward to the possibility of a movie or someone picking up this series. To the future 🥂
I have absolutely no complaints about the 6-episode season. They nailed it. This finale was a masterpiece. These are people all working at the top of their form. What a landmark achievement. Reminds me of the end of Breaking Bad -- I couldn't really be sad because the whole show was so perfect.
I agree (in hindsight!). I was bummed to hear it was 6 episodes initially, but in this case, they seemed to laser-focus each episode to an ideal. I would have still enjoyed an extra 6+ episodes with all that extra fluff but just like how some 10-min short films are superior to 2-hr movies, so too did this Expanse season excel IMO.
So refeshing to have an awesome ending to an awesome show! Loved every part of it :D Going to miss these Expanse videos just as much as am going to miss the Expanse itself. Great work Pete!
Could you do an extensive review of the last trilogies of the book? I'm willing to get completely spoiled to know the rest of this amazing story. Thnx for your incredible content..
During the negotiations Holden was wearing a light blue coloured shirt, his attire stood out against the others and their darker colours, They were also all sitting around a round table, much like King Arthur's knights, of which there were also 12 delegates at the table. His lighter colouring was (maybe) also symblolic of him being a Christ-like saviour, a unifying figure, with 12 disciples/12 delegates representing the various factions of humanity. Overall this was a fantastic ending, but, still, (gulp) an ending. So for now I am ready to sign another petition to get some other network to take up the saga with the last three books ... anyone?
its the authors who dont want to do the show anymore has nothing to do with money. all characters are thirty years older in the next book. they did that on purpose to end the show
I wish I could accomplish the you tube commentaries like the one you produced. They have all been so well done, and leaves me only words of admiration for the series actors and creators, and those who give their reviews. I hold this series to be the best I have seen, with Battlestar Galactica being a close second. Both depict humanity so well in regards to the good and bad that is apparent in our own creation. Thank you for your diligent work in helping us follow the many themes occurring in this series.
@@andywiibur1931 Honestly I'd be happy to join in w/ crowd-funding the final seasons as long as we kept all of the teams in front & behind the cameras intact. I don't even want to see it get away from Amazon seeing as how I'm pleased with the last few seasons ...
It was one heck of a ride, I liked the 'cameos' too. This season definitely felt like a highlight reel but at least they were able to get the main points across and end this part of the story. I wanted it to continue Much better to go out with people wanting more instead of people telling you to leave. Beltalowda
I like that the Laconia storyline was included in this season. It would have been too abrupt to just not have anything this season that calls back to the protomolocule thread of the plot. It's a nice, bite-sized bit of content to remind you that it's still lingering out there and "stuff" is going on. There's be no way to try to tie up that thread in this season; it takes 3 novels to explore what happens in that regard. So I was satisfied with what they could include. It was also pretty clear where a whole bunch of $$$$ got spent in the VFX budget this season. Wow, all those battle scenes were really well done!
Your commentary on the tv series made your vlogs a must see. Congrats & much appreciated. It occurs to me Peaches, Amos & Naomi actually lived what Holden preaches. A selfless act based on good conscience can hopefully change another's life for the better & be reciprocal. A ying/yang of circular benefit already has occurred just as Holden has often given others a 2nd chance proving he is correct. On Filip we disagree. He changed his name from Inaros to Nagata. Thats not "going on your own". Thats assuring his savvy mother will find him. This is not over btw. Last "Ty & that guy" vlog, Ty was almost busting trying to keep his secret & Shohreh was pure positivity. I have hope.
Hit the like button if you want Amazon to make another season. Let them know how much this show was loved and that there is real demand for this series’ continuation …
THE EXPANSE is certainly the best SF series by a wide margin, and perhaps the best series ever. All the science was accurate ( no warp drives or transporters ) making for a wholly realistic tale. Kudos to the production team , the authors and the actors. Well done.
oh no please dont. xD u know what happens when people want it.. Companies will finance it and take control over creative decisions... Next thing you know the Lead will be Black because...
I don’t think that I’ve ever seen a more satisfying and intense conclusion to show than this. If it turns out that they ever have a season 7, this would be right up there with the season 4 finale of Babylon 5.
Loved all the motifs that they used in the score for this episode (and this season). Really made those battle scenes pop and feel like a great closing chapter in a history of heart-pounding battle scenes. But for me, it was the quiet character moments of this episode that I think I'll remember most. Knowing that we likely weren't gonna get a resolution to the protomolecule story, my biggest hope was that every character arc would wrap up well. Even with the limitations placed on this season, I think that happened.
I started to have tears in my Eyes when Bobby was launching forward on her attack, and Amos floating down in the chair was just incredibly epic. Absolute mayhem, bravo Expanse.. I actually waited two days to watch it because I just couldn't accept that the show was ending and didn't want to see it.
Great job. I’d like to see a deep dive into Duarte. While reading the books, I never got a good sense of his origin story. I tended to confuse him with the Martian Admiral who led the schism.
Rather ironic that James S.A. Corey got George RR Martin to write a cool tagline for the book covers for Babylon's Ashes etc., and not only did they beat him at finishing Leviathan Falls before RR finished his sixth (and not final) entry in A Song of Ice and Fire, The Winds of Winter, which has yet to be released----but Ty and Dan helped Naren Shankar produce a better TV series finale for The Expanse than Benioff & Weiss managed for RR Martin's GoT television series finale.
The Expanse is truly the best thing to happen to sci fi on TV in more than a decade. I'm going to dive into book 7 now cause I simply can not get enough of this. Hopefully, someone will adapt Books 7, 8 and 9 in the future. The world needs more of The Expanse. Definitely looking forward to a Book to Show comparison of season 6 if you end up doing it.
They rushed through this last season so fast and left much to be desired. I guess we should be thankful we got an ending at all. I wish Dark Matter had a chance to finish as well.
