The explosive finish to Seahawks-49ers for the 2013 NFC Championship needs a deep rewind

It’s January 19th, 2014. We’re in Seattle, Washington, for the NFC Championship game between the hometown Seahawks and the San Francisco 49ers. The Niners have the ball, down six, and are 18 yards away from taking the lead. Clock ticking towards 30 seconds, Seattle is looking to keep them out of the endzone and punch their own ticket to the Super Bowl.
To appreciate what comes next and remember the hate-filled journey that got us here, we should rewind.

Never cared for loud mouth Sherman. Was a huge fan of crab out of tt and all the way through. In fairness they both had equal pro careers in my mind. A shame crab had subpar PASSING qbs in his career. Was cool when he paired with a young Carr in oak. But having smith who was never a downfield passer for the majority of your career doesn’t help. Was never given the chance to be the vocal point of an offense like he could’ve been. And I’m saying that as a fan of gore and Davis as well. Even cooper was the primary when he finally got to oak.

Fans were comatose in the 1H. They were TERRIFIED of Kaep. The 40 Yd Beastmode TD and the Kearse TD catch had the 12's in a frenzy. I need to watch the NFL re-wind for the exact play, but there was a pass that Russ evaded defenders and hit his target (may have been the Baldwin or Miller throw?). Some details this video didn’t have time to cover. In an earlier game, Kam chancellor absolutely annihilated Vernon Davis on a side line pass that is still one of the hardest hits in NFL history- Davis was never same player after that hit. Also Kaepernicks “jump pass” touchdown to Anquon Boldin over the fingertips of Earl Thomas is one of the best and gutsiest passes I’ve ever witnessed in person. It was one of those plays where the fans werent even upset because it was so impressive. It’s rare, even in the NFL playoffs, to witness two true heavyweights duke it out like they did and I’m eternally grateful I got to see it. This is the kind of game you tell your grandkids about.

It's May 5, 1993. We're at the Charlotte Coliseum for Game 4 of this first round matchup between the Boston Celtics and the Charlotte Hornets. The Celtics currently have a one point lead, but with 3.3 seconds left and no timeouts, the Hornets have a chance to inbound the ball and, if everything goes well, become the first of the four recent expansion teams to win a playoff series. To understand how we got to this point, we need to REWIND.

What can you say? If you try him with a sorry receiver like Crabtree that’s the result you’re going to get. 😂

As a Niners fan born in 1999, I have experienced nothing but excruciating pain. I hated reliving this. I resent what happened to me in 2020 and this February. One day, when I’m in diapers once again, I’ll be able to celebrate a sixth ring with my great grandchildren.

Bruh how you gonna leave out the Richard Sherman, Erin Andrew’s postgame that was a massive part of this moment in history 😂

As much as I would hate to relive it as a niners fan, you guys should make a rewinder of the infamous Kyle Williams game.

Somehow I know that the Zayn Flowers fumble in the AFCCG against the chiefs will need a rewind video in 5 or 10 years.

You guys should do a rewinder on the super XLVIII. And start it right before the first snap. You can talk about all the trash that was being talked about how the Broncos D was going to dog walk the legion of boom and what not. About the historical season both teams had. Then the anti climatic game that followed

Man I remember the trash talk but damn this Superbowl such a beat down forgot its one of few got to go to a Superbowl party from begining to WATCH cause usually work or something. BY 4 quarter fans of both teams just went with the others that wasn't as big football fans and started playing drinking games cause lost interest

@Bigedub101 that why it would be funny to end the rewind after literally the first snap, because that's when the game ended
