I swear, Kiran is like that one friend who gets jealous of something cool you’ve done, tries to replicate, and ruins it for everyone.

Funny thing is... if somebody DOES get away with faking a speedrun, we'll never know about it. It's likely that's happened before.

One of my biggest issues with this is that they found Odiz's run suspicious mostly based on the fact that he was friends with Kiran, and started their investigation entirely based on that. Just cause I have a friend who pulled a dumbass move doesn't mean I'm going to do the same thing. I think Odiz's run is legit and Kiran was just trying to one-up his friend because he wanted the spotlight.

I believe Odiz's run was legit. He clearly knew what he was doing. I also saw someone else in the comments say his run already got approved before they asked for more files so it's understandable that he would have deleted them.

I'm gonna feel sorry for Odiz if his speedrun is legit. This seems like a guilty by association more than anything.

You neglect to mention that the mods didn't ask for those files until AFTER they had already validated the run. Meaning it was perfectly understandable for Odiz to delete all that footage wasting space on his drives. Even though it's kinda moot here in the era of sub-10, I still think Odiz's run was legit. It was extremely well executed and there is zero proof that it was fake. If the mods believed it to be fake, they were the ones that screwed up by validating it in the first place. I have great respect for the work they have been doing especially since MC speedruns took off like crazy, but even they have to admit that it's perfectly possible that the only reason Odiz's run was invalidated is due to their own screw-up in this particular case. There's nothing strange about the fact that Polish speedrunners are IRL friends. The Polish speedrunning community being extremely small.

If odiz had cheated, gotta give respect to the guy for actually trying to master some of the strats. That stuff takes effort

They had already validated the run, so going back after over a week has passed, asking for some files that take up a significant amount of space on a computer of a RU-vidr, it seems reasonable that the files would have already been cleared away. If it was cheated, then perhaps the moderators shouldn’t have been so quick to validate the run, because that seems to be the reason why the proof is gone.

I feel like Odiz DID complete a legit run, and when his friend saw how well he did, wanted a bit of that "glory". The other side is if Odiz DID cheat/splice his video, he definitely was able to fake it amazingly well, and probably got warned by his friend to delete the files so he won't be caught.

The vibe I’m getting for this is that Kiran fucked odiz over by trying to submit his own run

If Odiz did cheat, he did the absolutely correct play of invalidating his own world record before he could get caught.

I feel like Odiz's run was actually legit, and either Kiran tried to be like him because of jealousy or he wanted to impress him. There's many reasons.

Okay im definitely not the only one who think odiZ isnt in the wrong, he isnt that suspicious compared to kiran, and he was shown to have smooth movement and good strats, this feels like a situation where a friend got jealous, cheated his way to the top, and then ruins it for everyone, and if you bring up “he deleted the world files eeemememe” my dude, videos can take up tons of storage, and i dont blame him for deleting that stuff, its just natural to do so.
