Great show from my childhood. Conceptually it makes total sense for an action hero based on a stunt man. Who else can pull off impossible feats while still bringing an every man energy. When everything hits the fan he's still just a regular dude that has a lot of experience getting hurt.
This looks great! I love Ryan Gosling, so I am IN! I never watched the tv series, but from what I read there are easter eggs in the "inspired from" tv series, like the truck, Blake Shelton singing the tv series, folksy song, a cameo from Lee Majors, and more. From what know of the movie thus far, Ryan's character is thrown into solving the crime mystery of the missing action star using his stunt skills instead of being a moonlighting bounty hunter, Lee Majors. None of that matters, because it is Ryan and Emily! I will definitely be going to the theaters to watch this!
This looks so much fun. David Leitch was a stuntman so this should be amazing. I also have a feeling based on a split second look, that he could be the guy setting Ryan on fire in the trailer.
Stunt performers don't get a lot of credit. They put their lives on the line for our entertainment. In the original Ben-Hur, one stuntman is filmed getting killed in the chariot race. Hollywood doesn't fully appreciate those who do the stunts. Tom Cruise likes doing his own stunts. In the most recent Mission Impossible, he performed one very dangerous stunt six times before he was happy that they had the right shots. One actor who you wouldn't think of being all that physical is Michael Crawford. Before he was the Phantom of the Opera, he was Frank Spencer. Look up the character. Every stunt was Michael.
I used to watch the 1980's TV show as a kid, while my dad was stationed in Misawa, Japan, so I think they were a few years behind the states, not sure. This trailer looks amazing.
This is how studios keep cranking out things that already have been done before and not original content they go back decades for stories. And no one's the wiser unless you're born back then. Not one channel knew this was a remake of a tv show.
That looks like a lot of fun. The original TV show from the early to mid 80s had a similar kind of humorous vibe. By the way Lee Majors sidekick in that TV show…Bruce Boxleitner also co-starred with Jeff Bridges in the original Tron movie from 1982.
I don't think Bruce Boxleitner was ever on The Fall Guy -- Douglas Barr played Colt Seavers' sidekick Howie. Bruce Boxleitner was on Bring Em Back Alive and Scarecrow & Mrs King around that same time. i hope Lee Majors has a cameo!
This is based on a tv show by the same name with Lee Majors in the staring role. Love the trailer and the movie looks great, but it was said, all I see at first is Ken. So you both have a great day and STAY SAFE. 👍
It's base on the TV series of the same name called The Fall Guy in the 80"s staring Lee Majors as The Fall Guy he played a stuntman and a Bounty Hunter now I notice in this movie trailer the same kind of truck that Lee Majors drive's in the series look at the trailer carefully is when Ryan Gosling is in a garage just pull in and getting out of the truck it's the same color as the one Lee Majors driven I saw the TV series I like it a lot and I will be watching this movie I think the TV series can be seen on NETFLIX or other streaming sites also I just found out that Lee Majors might have a small part in the movie that's what it shows online if so I think be over the top movie also the Director of the movie The Fall Guy is David Leitch was a stunt for Bratt Pitt , Jean - Claude Van Damme and Matt Damon
I used to watch the original tv series when it was in syndication YEARS ago in the early 90s and I already got 2 of the 3 things I wanted 1. The original 1981 GMC K-2500 Wideside (seen near the beginning of the trailer) 2. An updated version of the truck (a ‘22 or ‘23 GMC Sierra AT4X) The last thing would be a cameo by Lee Majors himself
And they've got to play the theme song somewhere in there. (I remember watching it on our old black and white, original broadcast run. I've never felt so old 👀)
It is not a game redo. It will be about the 80's series with Lee Majors (Bionic Man) 1981-1986. It was a huge success in the 80s, I watched it all the time.
They filmed it in Sydney and some other places in New South Wales last year. Ryan did a lot of his own stunts. There’s footage from news reports from that time online where you could see Ryan doing the stunt across Sydney Harbour Bridge which they closed for a number of hours
Ok this movie trailer makes me really want to watch this one it's funny it's got that comedy and romance that's just what I like Ryan and Emily are phenomenal, whoa Dustin 😅 that hair does wonders
