Aegwyn was banished by medivh somewhere (exactly somewhere in kalimdor u can find it in novel circle of hate). And Sargeras body was locked there by her after she defeated him and his spirit hide inside her and was waiting until he can corrupt medivh.

When Sargeras entered Azeroth the first time, his huge size allowed only a slow breakthough trough a portal, but Malfurion Stormrage closed the portal, lierally cutting Sargeras in two. The Moon Well ( the portal) imploded, and fueled by the demon's power, flooded the continent and entombed Sargeras. Later, Sargeras' spirit controls Aegwyn, who tricks him ultimately.
