The Fall of Lordaeron part 8/8 

You're probably never gonna read this but: this is awesome. You have such a great understanding of historical sieges. This is unusually realistic for something based on Warcraft.

I can't even begin to say how happy I am to find this series again. I've watched it back in the day of release but it got lost from my saved playlist. Thank you recommendations!

What a masterpiece! Such a sad story for the Aliance, but it's still a way it ends the game if a player chooces to play as Horde in Warcraft 2. Really great work, outonimi. I can't imagine just how much effort you have put to make all these videos and story look so wonderful. Every detail is just great.

Awesome work outonimi. I just got back in to wc3 mapping after a 5+ year break, and it's inspiring to see someone complete such a huge and amazing project! It's really cool that it uses official lore for the most part too! If you make another one, please put them in a playlist or have a joined version ^^ I'm excited to see if you will make more!

I'm glad to hear you found the stuff as interesting as I did :) . And yeah, there's probably a bit too much lotr stuff, but still the biggest influence is simply the Warcraft 2 story.

Or if he had used Resurrect. Or if Khadgar had used fireball. Or if Nilas Arcanister had used Ice Storm. Or if a number of other abilities had been used. I am still interested to know this: are you planning on doing one from the actual storyline? I enjoyed this one very much and would love to see something like this on the big screen, though I much prefer the true story line.

At any point Blizzard would of been extremely useful.

@Grand Wizard Pyros In Warcraft 2, the color of Kul Tiras was a rather light green, whereas in the Warcraft 3 world editor the available green color seemed darker and more yellowish. So I chose teal for Kul Tiras units. Also, I didn't include dwarven riflemen because they didn't exist as a unit in Warcraft 2, and also because rifles seem a bit too modern for this type of medieval battle :) . As for the siege of Ironforge, that could be a good topic for a movie but for me it's again perhaps a bit too similar to this.

Well yes, this takes place during the Second War, and the orcs first drank Mannoroth's blood already before entering Azeroth.

Holy fuck this is entertaining. I have always wished, since I was a kid, to create something like that like you did. How the heck did you create that? My hands are actually shacking. You remember me of a long forgotten passion.

After seeing the Warlords of Draenor trailer it almost feels like you've predicted a possible storyline to come.

This is indeed a great movie about the orc ending in Warcraft 2. Very sad for humans being all killed while they were bravely defending the capital city, but I still love the way how it's done. Really amazing! But I think there should have been added more Death Knight units, not just one like in one of the previous parts. Also, there should have been added some Ogre Magi units instead of all those Fel Orc units. One more thing: instead of regular Trolls, I think you should have put Troll Axethrower model (green Forest Troll kind of model), since Troll Headhunters are a different type of trolls. Everything else is just great! I hope you will make a human ending called "Fall of the Horde" or something like that. It would be so exciting to watch :D

First of all: I watched all 8 episodes without a break cause they was soooo interresting! You have done a great job with that and I hope it was worth for you. For all the people who say the story would be wrong. You are right in some ways, but this is kinda the story of "The Glory of the Horde" what is an alternate story for the question "What if the Horde won the war instead of the Alliance?" Thats why the events are different. PS: Arthas was only a deathknight as he killed Uther, nothing more

humans would never die so easily and so many orcs is from history true, but not that unreal army :p. The strengh of the humans together is great. I know this is only a cinematic , but normally it wouldn't be so. Well done, would be a honor to see one more Video ^^

Great work! I don't think Rend and Maim would have been able to kill Doomhammer so quickly. If they did they would have been killed on the spot, and a loyalist like Urok or Saurfang would have become the new Warchief.

Basicly, Warcraft 2 has two different endings. The Orc campaign ending, in which the orcs win the war and Lordaeron is destroyed, and the human ending in which the humans win (and which is the canon ending)

Thank you for all the comments and feedback! They are much appreciated. Oh, and keep in mind that this is by no means supposed to be official lore... The story is loosely based on the ending of the orc campaign in Warcraft 2, but even that isn't a part of the official storyline in its entirety.

You should have used forest trolls for the Horde, jungle trolls joined Orc only shortly before they reach Kalimdor in W3. Also as I remember from W2 orc had ogres on their side as well.

That's right, but one of my main motivations for making this was the city design. Also, I find tragic endings to be more powerful than happy ones.

Yes, that's how it really happened. But this is an alternative history mostly based on the Warcraft 2 orc campaign.

The horde only wishes this really happened but in the 2nd war they were crushed.

Hmm, good point :) . However, the idea was that even the western Horde force was possibly too large to be defeated by the remaining Alliance forces, and once it got inside the city it could attack the humans from at least two sides. Also, it was never completely certain that the gate would hold either.

Couldn't agree more. In my opinion all this love for the horde is nothing but a reflection of the horrible decay of our own morals.

Theres a map on wc 3 called Glory of the Horde, Where the horde won the second war, Its set 10 years after, where some allliance nations have held their own, and the horde have splittered from each other forming the horde under the control of the legion and the horde under doomhammers leadership.

This is the Orc Storyline. The Human Storyline leads to Alliance Victory and finally to WarCraft 3. In WarCraft 1 there was the same thing, but here the Horde Victory was the official story with Stormwind falling to the Orcs.

Can ya create a movie about Terran marines taking on the Horde?

Well, it is meant to be deeply tragic. I don't rule out making another movie with a happier ending, but it probably wouldn't be a sequel to this, because the story here reaches quite a definite end point.

Great work, inspired me to get back to warcraft 3. What I like about the movie is the scale of the battle and the idea that they move in formations, they dont do that in the normal game. PS: I ask again here since its newer and I can get a faster reply, how did you get them to move in formations?

A very nice movie... several bits taken live from LoTR hehe... several stuff not mentioned... Lord Lothar actually died during the Campaign in the Altarac area if I remember correctly. And I can't remember if Gul'Dan actually gained the knowledge of Sargeras' Tomb from the Book of Medivh which was held in Altarac.

Could i please be able to download your maps and open it in map editor? I'm looking for maps to learn how to build cities from, but all of them i see are protected. I will give you full credit for the maps, even though im only using it for my personal use

humans need stronger units than footman and archer if they want to win. Usually the most overpowered race in melee games

Oh, you can create units with triggers without a food limit.
