if anyone is interested, 'The Dungeon Beneath' is using the wonderful 16-bit fantasy sprite pack from Oryx Design labs. Similarly, 'Orna the GPS RPG' is another great indie title out there using the same sprite pack to build its art style.

So hype to see you come back to this game, I actually found it originally through your video a few years ago! The new update was very fun to play.

I love this game. It's a sophisticated design that plays quick and is noticably addictive. Could have a Commodore 64 version without losing any of the excellent gameplay.

I bought this game and I agree that it has a lot of builds and with patches it only grows. The only thing I don´t much like is the RNG and the repetitive music. Other than that, top-class game! All of you, buy it! :)

It feels like the meta progression makes it harder as the more characters you have unlocked the harder it is to make synergies.

Played this early on and loved it at first. Then I realized that unlocking more units was making it much harder to find synergies during a run. Has this huge, glaring problem been addressed? It's a total fun-ruiner as far as I'm concerned. (Note that I wouldn't be so disappointed if the game didn't show such potential, so this is kind of a compliment?)

I just picked this game up about a week ago, as there was a nice sale on steam. I had a nice beast run where I won (somewhat similar setup to what you actually had in this video). However, i've been struggling with other synergies/compositions.. Does anyone have a guide/advice on what kind of synergies/approaches to look for?

Yeah, you can do a really good druid/summoning build. My favourite i've found, and most effective, are a few different ones based around poison. Can't remember the exact units or items I had, been a while since I played

"Sitka Pete was a good twenty-two hundred pounds of lumbering, intelligent carnivore. Sourdough Charley would weigh within a hundred pounds of that figure. Faro Nell was eighteen hundred pounds of female charm and ferocity. Then Nugget poked his muzzle around his mother's furry rump to see what was toward, and he was six hundred pounds of ursine infancy. The animals looked at Huyghens expectantly. If he'd had Semper riding on his shoulder they'd have known what was expected of them". There is a very exciting fight in it, where Faro Nell thinks *Her Human* is in actual danger from one of the bad aliens, and she pulls the pin on her Bad Manners, and the aliens get a lesson why Team Earth is not to be poked at, when we poke back there is some Power behind it. Written in 1956 but still one of my favourite short stories, Leinster was a master craftsman.
