@@ls0l4ce Well according to the pocket universe theory, the Schwarzwelt is a whole different universe and it will consume earth if the investigation team doesn’t stop them.
Me: "Oh. There's no heated soundtrack for normal encounters like in the other games..." *presses battle* Also me: "Wtf. Why did it escalate like this!?"
"I present you all persona fi- wait what? Oh shit wrong game okay okay. . . . Uhhh ladies and gentlemen I present to you all the doom and smt crossover: SMT: Strange Journey"
I like how this theme's title changes it's meaning during the game. At the start this is your fear, of god, his angels and the demons, and how every battle is for survival. At the end this theme is the fear god has of you, and how you ever steadly creep towards him (Sheikinah), and he and his forces grow more desesperate with each fight.
In the beginning, going into a strange, bizarre realm, god and his minions were the unknown, and thus, a threat. Nearing the end, not fully comprehending the capacity that human potential had, god thought you were the unknown. Now you are the threat.
Shekinah is redux only though. Not to mention that you don't even ever go against law until the endgame. The entire early and midgame is just fighting demons (of chaos).
@@twohooks3533 > Sheikinah isn't YHVH I don't think that was the point. The point was that she's the YHVH analogue in sjr. > you get YHVH by fusing Demiurge and Metatron What? Are you referencing the fact that they call themselves fragments? This is confusing considering fusion is a very specific game mechanic in smt.
@@2tehnik AFIK they're fragments but isn't that New Game Plus quest with the Metatron/Demiurge fusion supposed to give you the real answer as to what happened to YHVH? (And I was replying to op, not you)
This song starts like having a carpet pulled from underneath you and falling onto your back. Then there's just a large angry face on the ceiling, and he's laughing at you while several faces surrounding him chant at you
What I absolutely love about this piece is the chanting at first is very sporadic, almost random, and then as it nears the peak, the chanting suddenly becomes perfectly rhythmic
Now that i think about it, it´s not fear from god, it´s the fear OF god, basically telling that even someone as powerful as god can be afraid of the humans. Classic SMT moment
This makes me want to play strange journey once I'm done with the smt iv duology, but I'm scared about everything besides the story, I've heard the dungeon design is so complex, oot water temple pales in comparison.
Eh it's mostly tame really though some places do get kinda annoying to the point where you prolly need to pull up a guide.Lookinf at you sector eridanus and delphius
Ehhh, outside of some specific floors, the dungeons are actually pretty manageable, don't be afraid of the dungeons when there's much more dangerous stuff out there. I managed to get through it without an internet conection when i was a teen and there was only one moment i had to draw my own map instead of relying on the in-game one 'cause of an invisible floor. Strange journey is an incredible game, and i really recommend it, it's probably my favorite SMT.
i mean this is like the biggest ost change ive seen in smt this isnt catchy like usual but the osts in strange journey are orchestral and heavy in emotion in a way . . . i think kinda like have more meaning you wont understand it at the start but it grows on you like any good song does
