Persona 5 is the 5th mainline title in the Shin Megami Tensei Spin-Off Franchise Persona, and with the Modern Persona games (Persona 3 FES/Portable, Persona 4 Golden and Persona 5 Royal) recieving rereleases with additional content only one of these (P3P) had the most substantial story change, with the addition of a new Protaganist,Kotone Shiom, so when the trailers teasing and leading up to P5R included a new female member of the Phantom Theives many speculated that a new playable protagonist would be introduced, sadly however that wasn't the case, but here's a sneak peak at what it might've looked like if the rumours were true
So yeah this is a quick mod i made for the RPCS3 version of Persona 5 which replaces Joker with Kasumi, both in battle and on the field with her own animations from Persona 5 Royal (and some of Haru's from the Kasumi over Haru mod by DniweTamp gamebanana.com...) this probably isn't going to release however as to get this to work as a full replacement would require me to edit the skeleton for Jokers animations so they line up with Kasumi which presents a skill issue lmao so unless you wanna play as a giraffe i don't think it'll release
Anyways this wouldn't of been possible if it wasn't for the amazing work of DniweTanp and DeathChaos and TGE as their mods and GFD Studio were crucial in this and it wouldn't of been possible without their mods, and i also used P5EX aswell as the Big Persona Backport in the recording of this video

Would be pretty cool to see Joker in Kasumi's position, being the one with a personality disorder and then being recruited in the 3rd Semester.

Yeah,but it means Kasumi would be Fool arcana here so his persona would be different,if he still Faith we need to think of persona which would fit Joker with Faith arcana

This gives me an idea. With kasumi as the main character, we get left with a major character missing from the plot of Royal, which gives me an idea, giving Kasumi/Sumire’s role in the story to Ren Amamiya. There even Is already two names that could be used, and I would love to see a fleshed out version of the protag in game.

Or maybe the KaSumire twist could still work, simply remove Joker i guess. For most of the game she could have her hair like Kasumi except in the Velvet Room where she has her hair and glasses like Sumire and only by the Royal part of the game, Sumire somehow realizes the stuff and goes back to Sumire? Idk.

I like the mod. I know nothing about modding so I don't know how difficult it would be to incorporate and don't blame anyone for not having done it if it's a lot harder than it sounds in my head, but it would be cool to be able to use the hair down option in some capacity, given the context of the character and what might change because of a protagonist role.

It's just so weird that they made her Phantom Thief outfit's design so similar to Jokers given she's meant to be a standalone character. When we first saw her I didn't buy into the idea that she was another FEMC, at least until they revealed her Phantom Thief outfit.

Remember that Thief Attire is based on the wearer's cognition of the Ideal Rebel. For example, Ann's outfit is based on the femme fatale characters she grew up idolizing. The implication is supposed to be that Joker is Sumire's own Ideal Rebel.

i aim to at least hopefully have all palace animations finished before a release, however there’s still a lot of work before that aswell as i need to actually get permission from the other authors as the character model isn’t mine

@@skell6134 a lot of the animations have changed in royal, so it’s not as simple as just a copy and paste, i’d most likely have to redo almost if not all of the animations, as some of them have changed from vanilla and iirc there’s not much if any documentation on them and then there’s the oddity of there being 2 Kasumi’s in the game, tbh it probably wouldn’t be too if you can look past that, and i did look for some alternatives but at that point it’s just gonna end up being a fem protag mod

So maybe using another character to replace joker like F protag from P3F rather than Kasumi. Pls understand that I don't request or force you to do anything since I have no rights and just a stranger to you on the internet. But I would like to play the game with a mod like that. @@usakoigen3683 Thats the issue with a Royal version of the mod, due to the voicelines and all the events Kasumi can't really be replaced by joker, so instead what i think i'll do is just create a custom model that'll sorta mix Kasumi and the FEMC model, although it'll have to wait until Royal's release on PC so i can get my hands on the files, although i do know that there's other modders working on a FEMC mods which'll be wayyyy higher quality then my one so we'll just have to wait and see
