It’s amazing to me that Doug dresses like a dad, doesn’t have a fancy haircut, and is just all around completely normal, and yet he gets INVITED to review and drive cars worth millions of dollars. It’s inspiring.

Saw one in Aspen doing a pull right in front of the Police station. The sound was pure cadence. Looked and sounded like it had a Tubi system.

That transmitter thing on mfd is for setting brightness of mfd 15:23 The back of the sedan thingy is to turn on or off gear indicator on the main instrument cluster 15:34 when you pull the lights lever up, it only turns on the mfd and license plate lights I think its not working on this one 17:27 very thoughtful design by ferrari, they were so awesome!

Frankly, I'm more partial to the F50 than the F40, which is said to be the "best Ferrari of all time", and I do agree that both are very special. I used to see the F50 a lot during my childhood, while playing Need For Speed video games, hence it holds a greater sense of occasion for me than the F40. Neither car is greater than the other, even if their respective driving experiences differ. Both cars represent temporal milestones in Ferrari history, and enjoying as well as celebrating such cars is what should be preferably done.

This was the first supercar I felt I had a strong affection to as a kid. I was at the right age when this came out in 95, and I remember Shell doing a promotion about Ferrari where you can get a special diecast model of this car if you earned enough gas coupons. Of course I collected the entire set.

I remember the day like yesterday driving along with my family when I was a kid, to the Ardennes, getting past near Francorchamps by a Ferrari F50. Roof open, couple with ear protection & caps on roaring past. What a car! Along with the F40 the ultimate poster boys of supercar heroism!

It looks like the analog speedometer can switch between mph and kmh as well. Mph is lit and the higher numbers are dim. I think if kmh is enabled the higher number will light up as well. Wonder if it can be switched easily or if it's a factory configuration.

You know I considered buying one of these but I couldn’t get over having to manually roll down the windows in a 3 million dollar car, so I bought a Subaru Impreza instead.

Believe it or not... this was the first Ferrari I fell in love with. Hell it was the reason I love Ferrari till this day.

The noise with the hazards and turn signals is because they go through the same combination switch to make the hazards work. The actual noise is a weird thing they opted to do; but electrically they usually will function almost exactly the same hence the same noise for both.

I love how Doug always clarifies with Ferrari that “They claim this is one of” instead of “this is one of”. Such a great subtle roast.

I remember buying a car model kit of the F50 when I was about 10 years old. I've always thought this was a beautiful piece of art. As well as the Viper GTS and McLaren F1.

In 1996 I sold cars at a Mazda store in Memphis TN, Across the street was an exotic car dealership which had Porsche and Ferrari. They had a F50 on the showroom floor, I got to sit in it. It was soooooo Awesome.

This car reminds me of a Trabant, with those extras, such as a rope for door handle and manual windows. My recommendation is to have the heating directly come from the engine, just open a little door with a fan on it and blow the engine bay air into the cabin.

The “half sedan with an antenna” is the parking brake on/off indicator.

On the display that shows the mileage and other things, the first one Doug questioned with the number 30 and the weird symbol is the brightness control for the instrument panel and the second one that he says looks like half a car with an antenna is the gear indicator and shows you which gear you’re currently in.

I remember going to a car show my small town does every year when I was 10. Got to see a yellow F50, as well as an enzo. T'was love at first sight, though I doubt I'll be able to purchase one in my life time.

I like how changing the speedo from MPH to KPH uses the same numbers but gives you more of them. I guess the needle then has to move faster to compensate. On luggage space, I saw Rod Stuart's in a supermarket carpark once. Guess he wasn't buying much.
