Interesting fact about that final scene with Emhyr - Apparently, in the original Polish version, when he says "I do not wish to see you ever again", he uses a plural form of "you". Implying that he wasn't fooled, and knows Geralt was lying about Ciri being dead. Ultimately, it's open to interpretation, of course, but I like to think that was him finally accepting that Ciri wants nothing to do with him (which, at least going by the books, wouldn't be entirely out of chracter). Plus, I just find it really hard to believe that he would be fooled so easily.

Ohhh wow thats such a good point. He never really trusted geralt but just had to use him for help. I like that thought. I'm sure he wasnt fooled tbh

25:30 You met 'Mr. Mirror' in the inn, right at the start of the game, he told you Yennefer had been at the Nilfgaardian camp. "Good" ending, as I guessed last time. Had you taken Ciri to meet Emhyr instead he would have abdicated and made her Empress of Nilfgaard, Queen of Cintra, and Skellige. Or, with slightly less good parenting (and you were close), you would have got the bad ending - where everyone dies. It might be worth checking some other video of those differenct endings. > W3 has been a big part of your life for over a year. Playing, commentary, editing, comments and live streams with us. It's natural to feel a sense of loss, but it isn't over yet. The DLC are great. Many people consider Heart of Stone the best (non-Ciri) story in the game, while Blood & Wine is so big it's almost another game in itself. A year is actually a touch on the quick side for RU-vidrs, uploading weekly. Streamers tend to be less enjoyable, simply because they can't get as absorbed in the game itself, because they're talking to the audience. Probably ~3 months more to go at a guess. You'll never be able to forget Geralt & co. now; god save you ^^. You are like those of us who talk about this game so much, play it several times, and felt your emotions as you played it. Honestly I think it could of been even longer if I "cleared the map" of all the locations like I wanted to. Which that may be a fun live stream thing, along with collecting gear. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I cant believe I almost got a bad ending!!! I woulda been so upset

@@RedMxrcy [Main Game Ending Spoilers] There are five 'parenting' decisions you have to make after meeting Ciri which determine her level of determination and confidence and, as a consequence, her ability to defeat the White Frost and her future life. You need to make three or more 'responsible' decisions from the following, or get the bad ending in which Ciri and Geralt die. 1. Cheer Ciri up with a snowball fight ✅. The alternative 'relax, you don't have to be good at everything' leads to a drinking session and Ciri just not caring enough to have the determination she needs. 2. Choose not to take Ciri to talk to Emhyr ✅(possible 'witcher' ending). [OR Visit Emhyr (possible 'Empress' ending), but don't take the reward money he offers you. Doing so would make Ciri think Geralt had just sold her out like everyone else and her confidence would be wrecked.] 3. Encourage Ciri to face Philippa/Margarhita without you. This increases both her confidence and determination - and it leads to a much funnier scene with Yenn. Going with her as a 'helicopter parent' decreases her self-confidence ❌ 4. Tell Ciri to 'Go for it' when she wants to wreck Avallac'h's lab and get another funny cutscene. Telling her to 'Calm down' instead weakens her self-confidence ❌. 5. Go with Ciri when she wants to visit Skjall's grave to improve her determination ✅ Just as well you wanted to check on Skjall, hey?

the "this is my story not yours you must let me finish it" the first time i heard this line i thought she was being condescending, but hearing this again after knowing what you need to do to get the good ending, this dialogue is more like "i'm a big girl now, please let me do what i must"

A few days late, but I have thoroughly enjoyed your playthrough. I appreciate your analysis, and think it was spot on, I have played the game many times and gotten many endings and I knew from Ciri's flashback the ending you got. the storyline is amazing, maybe the best of any game, and I have played tons of them, the game can be heart wrenching at one point and a few moments later heart warming, quite unique to any game I have played. I laughed and cried with you the whole roller coaster way through, well played my friend

Nice :) 36:23 How did you know? There is an ending, where Ciri actually dies (or at least doesn't return), and you were not that far away from it with only 2 out of 4 right parenting decisions ;) Another different ending can happen, when you go with Ciri to Emhyr before Imlerith, then she'll choose a different path.

It's so poignant yet fitting how they leave you in an empty Kaer Morhen at the end. The music almost takes on a different meaning, what with everything that happened. You're in for a treat with the DLCs though. If you're planning on going for a new gear set, the Wolf school is definitely the most aesthetic, and suits Geralt best imo. Also, Roach is a she :P

You are going to so love the DLCs. You think you love the game now, you ain't seen nothing yet. I can say for certain that everyone following your gameplay thus far has been waiting for one thing - Blood & Wine. It will blow your mind. Play Hearts of Stone first, it's fantastic and you'll love it, but B&W holy crap.

Congratulations. The White Frost almost defeated your computer - but Ciri managed to do it. You got the best ending to Ciri and Geralt's story. You're right, The Witcher is not just a game, it's an experience that changes the perception of other games. If you want, you can watch the other two main endings of the game (each takes place in a different location). But the bad ending is really sad... 25:34 Mr Mirrory - remember this name. Both DLCs are just as good or maybe even better. Thanks!

The witcher games are one big unforgivable adventure. Especialy after the books. But it is ok if you havent read yet. They can be very exciting background. You find out many interesting details from. How Geralt find Ciri, Geralts and Yens love story, who was Emhyr before becoming emperor, how Ciri got into Tir na Lia to Eredin first time, even how she got her scar on cheek. Eskel, Lambert and Vesemir, Triss, Avalach, Shani and Regis (these last two you find in DLCs) - they all books characters are great reflected in the game. Both dlcs are great. So, the witcher adventure is not finished for you:)

These expansions are easily the best expansions in the whole game business in last two decades. Right side by side with Bioshock infinite and Cyberpunk. And you really should play first two games before this one. You already met a lot of characters from these two games and you miss their history with you. So you will have kinda RDR2 experience. :D But definetelly do not google them because of spoilers. :D

Considering the other 'parenting' decisions you made for Ciri, picking the choice "I know what will cheer you up" that led to the snowball fight turned out to be absolutely crucial. If you had picked the "You don't have to be the best at everything" line, Ciri would not have survived the White Frost. Geralt would then have met a nice werewolf, would've had a fight with Weavess (the Crone that took Vesemir's medallion from Ciri) and then it's heavily implied he gets overrun and killed by a huge mob of monsters. We fade out before we can actually see what happens.

Atleast you got the good ending. I am not a fan of fanstsy but love this game. Games Like Kingdom come which is Grounded medieval game is more my type along With games Like RDR2, Ghost of Tushimia and far cry primal, GTA and Fallout. It really comes down to what settings some one likes i cant get into most medievel fantasy as feels like Putting pineapple on pizza both great on there own but bad when together. So the fact that Witcher 3 is one my favorite game is saying something. Its not a perfect game the Horse riding, combat, movement Could be better and the World outside of Quests is not most interactive or Reactive in Comparsion to games like Skyrim, RDR2, Kingdom, Bully or Watch Dogs The quests a really good but most of them have you just follow red foot prints compared to something like New vegas or Kingdom come that allow you as player to offten kill off a quest giver. Witcher 2 also has more of branching story. With all that said its still one of best games to come out on PS4.

Thats so valid. I love Skyrim! I love fantasy but sometimes I want to be more grounded and be into a more rustic medieval vibe. I picked up the witcher and the witcher 2, i look forward to playing those out as well. Thank you so much for watching!

Yes it was the tower you climbed all the way up to when you got lost on the way to The Isle of Mists, mate. 🦘🦘🦘 I forgot to thank you for getting this video out so fast and unlike a lot of other RU-vidrs you never rushed your playthrough and you always told us what you were thinking. We’ll be waiting, the best (a side quest in Blood and stone) I won’t tell you anymore about it other than to say if you agree to do it(which you must 🙏🏻) you can only get paid in potatoes, although I normally tell them to keep them as I have enough potatoes by then. lol Trust me you will never forget this quest. 🦘🦘🦘

Mate, for one terrible minute I thought you were going to get the “worst” ending, but you landed the “best”. I know a few people think that one of the other endings is better but no way, this is it! You played it so well and so naturally. Perfect mate. Mate HEARTS OF STONE is good,but once you get to BLOOD & WINE it’s like The Witcher 3 Version 2 it’s as long as 95% of other games. Can’t wait until you dive into the DLCs, I’ll be here waiting (while watching your Final Fantasy playthrough 😉) Good luck on the path, mate. 🐨🦘🐨🐨

High-five Ozzie. The bad ending looked likely to me but I did the maths last episode. My preference is for Queen Ciri to get all she deserves, and more - it's a better life than being a witcher, but I understand the reasons for this being the 'best' ending.

@@Anti_Woke On my last playthrough I did all the “good” parenting decisions and then went with Ciri to see Emhyr, and I didn’t take the coin, yet she still became a Witcher which shocked me. Still trying to work out how and why???

@@RedMxrcy No you see like me you played like a real parent, NOT a Witcher Parent a big, big difference as I found out in my very first playthrough. It almost crushed me. Mind you I will always argue that Geralt could have easily beaten you the monsters he was surrounded by. And the people that say he wouldn’t have tried to fight his way out he lost Ciri and had not thing to live for …. BS he still either had Yen or Triss (depending who you romanced) and his mates Dandelion, Regis, etc.

@@ozzievamp Ciri still becomes a Witcher (and not Empress) when Radovid or Dijkstra rule the North in the end, because Emhyr dies in this case (and Ciri visiting Emhyr doesn't matter).
