Sorry Nana Boakye, this is Kete, there is no Atumpan drumbeat in the sound so this cannot be described as Adowa. Atumpan is the set of large twin drums that lean on a wooden stand when playing Adowa. Every Adowa sound has Atumpan drum beat. They are the lead drums that change the rhythm of every Adowa sound. The lead drum in Kete is a single midsize drum called Kwadum, also played with 2 sticks.

Ask Ghanaians or Gold Coastian where did they get the way this women dress from ? Certainly from ANLO -EVEO or EVEO FROM TOGOLANLO. I think before those Ashanti whom see themselves and calling Eveo with all kind of name with insultes should start decoding this traditional dress for there women & men , fromnthere they would stop insulting Eveo otherwise paid for that in long term in cultural realm or face a court of LAWS.
@essirenhier7489
@essirenhier7489 6 лет назад
Sustain yr view but don’t yu see each of us needs to know who were the forprecair of that culture in southern West -Africa instead of letting those copied by assimilation knew there past before disgracing those who owned it. The dress of this Ashanti’woman belongs to a clan withing Eveo and I had a proof a solid proof for it. I can’t let Ashanti man/women mocke Eveo, not on my watch bcse they love doing it to show of or please themselves and this have to stop or nacked them.
@essirenhier7489

These wirh there gblin gblin think they’r powerful of better then others. No way ! How many wars historically they got in there asset ? None, they couldn’t even British, neither Eveo in Togoland but only feeble clan around them like Ga, Fanti, Akan. So they stole others peoples culture like they love corruptions, steal unnecessary things. Plse give me break, they boosted Ashanti, the most beautiful city. Really ! I call on google for help and comparison, they don’t yet get there or don’t yet know how to define that beauty. Anyway the beauty is in the eyes of the holder.

You seem to be one of those envious Ewe's who sees Ashanti's as a threat to dominate every facet of Ghana's society. You don't have any evidence to proof anything, your culture is rich keep it be proud of it, don't try to rewrite history or invent someone's culture for them. Ewe's have tried to claim every his or pride of the Ashanti's. What is next?, The golden stool belongs to the Ewe's?. Take your trouble somewhere .
@essirenhier7489
@essirenhier7489 6 лет назад
Hee mindful yr words. Could yu tell me if that accoutrement truly belongs to Ashanti ? No ! Not even Akan...who they encountered during there journey from until there present dwelling. Yu who said everything belongs to you and no one has that right to speak there local language but only Twi. Ask the Ashanti if they make that journey from Mésopotamia, Babylon to there present place, ? they would say no. So take care of those who belong to you not Eveo bcse history defines who truly yu are. A heel to rely on to walk.

Please try to know a history of a Ashanti tribe before you condenm. The Akan group came as you came there is nothing in common most of the ethnic groups of Western south used to dress the same is not only Asantis. But the difference is we love cheer the little we have so that we can not loose.examle Asantis could not speak good English yes is true because we love the Twi than any language on Earth love you own it is your culture and my culture
