Hahahah...dear god... Let your dear Serbian explain something to you Bulgarians and to you Croatians of your heritage,if your masters made you forget of your that doesn't mean that we should forget ours,and ours is yours,and so is your ours. Croatians are nothing else but catholcised serbian people,yet i will gladly dennounce you as any sort of far or distant relative nowdays. After you made factories for kiing innocent children under 14 years old,and left that act as a your legacy to world society. 40,50.000 children you murderred... All for your masters in Rome and Pentagon,Berlin... and about Bulgarians,we have a saying,who ever speaks bulgarian is using serbian lenaguage without understanding it's rules or gramatic. Bulgarians are a mixture of local Slavic people and the tribes that came with Huns to these parts,and yes you both have proven that you lack courage and chivalry...maybe Bulgarians less so,they had their fair victories over us,those ones should be respected,yet their backstabbing while we were fighting both Germany and Austro-Hungaria at the same time can be picture of their manners and speak about them more than myself here. Best regards neighboors😂 I know you feel kinda scared,its a about to start...i feel it too..but you are scared because you know that you have chosen the dark side,we ain't,we never were,no matter the odds,no matter the enemy Serbian people stood on balkans defending it against of all foreign creat colonial powers,and even when we faught alone,and you all stood by the side,we did for you too. For that part of you that never had courage to say no to colonialists,and oppressors of all difrents kinds and sizes.

Your Croatian maps are way off. Croatian princes of the 9th century had the court just across the sea, north of Split, and this area on your maps is so far from "your" Croatia. Read what Gottschalk had to say about the court of Trpimir. Croatia bordered Pagania on the southeast in the area of Imota county. Pagania was incorporated into Croatia in the 11th century.

@@WOTgameplaychorantauluka The city of Split was founded as the Greek colony of Aspálathos (Aσπάλαθος) in the 3rd or 2nd century BC. It became a prominent settlement around 650 CE when it succeeded the ancient capital of the Roman province of Dalmatia, Salona. After the Sack of Salona by the Avars and Slavs, the fortified Palace of Diocletian was settled by the Roman refugees. Split became a Byzantine city, to later gradually drift into the sphere of the Republic of Venice and the Kingdom of Croatia, with the Byzantines retaining nominal suzerainty. For much of the High and Late Middle Ages, Split enjoyed autonomy as a free city, caught in the middle of a struggle between Venice and the King of Hungary for control over the Dalmatian city-states. Venice eventually prevailed and during the early modern period Split remained a Venetian city, a heavily fortified outpost surrounded by Ottoman territory. Its hinterland was won from the Ottomans in the Morean War of 1699, and in 1797, as Venice fell to Napoleon, the Treaty of Campo Formio rendered the city to the Habsburg monarchy. In 1805, the Peace of Pressburg added it to the Napoleonic Kingdom of Italy and in 1806 it was included in the French Empire, becoming part of the Illyrian Provinces in 1809. After being occupied in 1813, it was eventually granted to the Austrian Empire following the Congress of Vienna, where the city remained a part of the Austrian Kingdom of Dalmatia until the fall of Austria-Hungary in 1918 and the formation of Yugoslavia. In World War II, the city was annexed by Italy, then liberated by the Partisans after the Italian capitulation in 1943. It was then re-occupied by Germany, which granted it to its puppet Independent State of Croatia. The city was liberated again by the Partisans in 1944, and was included in the post-war Socialist Yugoslavia, as part of its republic of Croatia. In 1991, Croatia seceded from Yugoslavia amid the Croatian War of Independence en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Split The Archdiocese of Split-Macarsk ( lat. Archidioecesis metropolitana Spalatensis-Macarskensis ) is a Roman Catholic metropolitan archdiocese founded around 300 with its headquarters in Salona as the Salonitanska Diocese . Around 640, the headquarters moved to Split . Since ancient times, Split Metropolis has traditionally had primacy over other Croatian dioceses , expressed by the title of Primate of Dalmatia and the whole of Croatia (lat. Dalmatiae ac totius Croatiae primas ), which until the XIX. century worn by the archbishops of Split. [1] hr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Splitsko-makarska_nadbiskupija

I'm half Serb, half Croat. So I can't offend anyone with this. My mother was a history student in Belgrade in 1988. So under heavy serbian influance and propaganda as at that time Serbs started getting ambitious. When it came to who came first, Croats were at the banks of the Adriatic before Serbs, Croats came from todays Poland, the named the place Red/White Croatia, that wasn't its name but thats how historians call that place even tho name doesn't make much sense. Serbs were a nomadic tribe, it isn't known really when they first appeared but it is debated that they are even Slavic, as they share more similarities with Tatars then slavs. (My mom (Serb) has much darker skin than my dad (Croat) who looks like a typical central Europian). What noone dissagrees that Serbs originated in Kosovo and thats their history. They were misstreated by Turks and they Rebeled. Croats also suffered under Turks but they reppelled them at Knin stopping them from going deeper into Europe. The thing about Croats being just Catholic Serbs was created in 1990s to justify the Creation of Greater Serbia. And it continued to this day with many Serbs trying to steal Croat history, even tho they have a great history on their own so they don't need to steal others. Also since I seem more negative to Serbs, Nikola Tesla is a Serb? Now we are all mad at me so its fair.

A large portion of Serbs who fled from the Ottoman Empire migrated to Austria Hungary where they were settled along a shifting military frontier and over the course of decades and centuries converted to Catholicism. It’s not all of Croatia’s population today, but a large part of it. Have you looked into the history of many last names in Croatia? Serbs as a nation did not exist until the appearance of Nemanjić, the Serbian early Middle Ages was bunk and twaddle (fabrication and nonsense), it was not a nation but isolated pockets of a timid, undefined and variegated ethnos, which trembled and breathed quietly, and took refuge in forests and ravines, while the great Bulgarian army passed from Bulgaria towards Bosnia and Croatia. At that time, Serbia (an euphemism for the "state" of Serbia - out of politeness) was nothing more than a wide east-west highway, which were driven by powerful Bulgarians. Only with the passage of time, the collapse of Bulgarian military groups against the Byzantines and their settlement of "Serbia", the arrival of Kumans, Pechenegs and Tatars from Hungary to the south (Kumanovo!!!), the taming of wild Vlachs, distrustful Cincars, mixing with Roma and Sinti, and especially later with the Albanians and the Ottomans (and the genetic influences from the Middle East that came with the Turks), the Serbian nation was slowly formed...

An Orthodox person is not a Serb, that is not the same thing. The Serbian Orthodox Church in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia was created in 1920 by the unification of all Orthodox churches in the territory of the newly established state. In the Kingdom of Yugoslavia, the Serbian Orthodox Church had the status of a state church, and the Serbian nation was not created on a civil basis, but on a confessional basis, as members of various nationalities from the Greek-Eastern religious body declared themselves Serbs. In 1914, the Serbs were a small nation of 4,000,000 inhabitants, and then within 76 years they "miraculously multiplied" to a significant 10,000,000 inhabitants!!! Is that possible? Of course not! Serbian ethnophyletism operationalized through the trinity; church, nation, state - he created the Serbian nation only in the 19th century! "We were Bulgarians and now we are Greeks", "we were Greeks, now we are Serbs" and the like. The example of Nikola Tesla is significant; Nikola Tesla has absolutely nothing to do with Serbs! None! Nikola Tesla is a Starovlah from Lika with two Croatian noble bloodlines, both on his father's side (Dragalić from Zadar) and on his mother's side (Kalinić from Novi Vinodolski). What is Tesla's bloodline from Serbian Šumadija, Serbian Čačak or Serbian Užice? Where is that bloodline? That doesn't exist!!! Serbs would like to be of the same blood as the genius Tesla, but they can't!!! And what would Tesla have become if he had been born in Serbia? Some corrections are in order, the first Croatian state was founded in the 610s, and was called the Duchy of Croatia, whereas the first Serb state was founded in the 620s, or even the 630s, the Principality of Serbia. The Avar Khaganate has never extended outside the Pannonian Basin, and the East Roman Empire's territories in SE Europe were, in the aftermath of the Invasion of the Slavs, reduced to the eastern interior of Adrianople, Thessaloniki, Monemvasia, and some cities on the Adriatic and Black Sea's coast.

Hey Norman, your comment makes a lot of historical sense, as these regions were not known as Serbia until some time later, though not quite as far into the future as the 18th century. The mindset to have with this period of Serbian history is that a lot of these early medieval counties and regions, such as Zachlumia, Pagania, Duklja, Travunia and most prominently Raška formed the foundation for later Serbia culture to develop. At around the early 12th century the Nemanjic dynasty would found what would be known regionally and Europe wide as the Kingdom of Serbia. This would be an orthodox slavic kingdom that would last until the end of the 14th century. Furthermore, it can be seen that Serbian culture (even though there was no country of Serbia) propagated strongly through the Balkans. An example is King Tvrtko Kotromanic signing his official documents as 'King of Bosnia and the Serbs' and how Most noble families provided letters to the Vatican in what they described as latin and serbian. Therefore, the common interpretation is that the above regions can be thought of as 'serbian'. Please let me know is there is anything that isn't clear or that you would like to discuss further. Sve najbolje.

@kurjakhistory4727 2 года назад
No Norman I do not know what you mean by 'George from NIN'. Also would be interested in your interpretation of the Nemanjic dynasty and how it plays a role in all of this. Your point on the connections being made being superficial is great, as any notion that these Kingdoms, Principalities, duchies and so forth having a direct correlation or being the direct ancestor of modern day 21st century countries is ridiculous. Any citizen of Ex-Jugoslavia should therefore have equal interest and sympathy for this entire regions history. For example a Croatian an interest and connection to the orthodox regions mostly described as being Serb and a modern day Serbian having an interest in dalmatian and central croatian history despite those lands belonging to the Republic of Croatian in the current times. Also you seem to be coming at this from a conspiratorial angle by posing the idea 'who helped create Serbia and why' which is very bizzare considering the thousands upon thousands of Serbian literature and art predating the 'propped up' kingdom as you describe it.

However, you also omitted the fact that the Croats agreed with the Hungarians on a dual Croatian-Hungarian state. We had the same king who was partly Croat. Hungarians are partly Croats because of the Pannonians with whom they mixed.

Just to add that Simeon annexed Serbia as a last result. Before that the kingdom had rebelled or allied with the Byzantines 3 times. The first two times Simeon send an army to crush the rebellion or stop the incursion. He always put a new Serbian prince on the throne. By the third time he decided that no matter who the ruler was, he would probably rebel, so outright annexation was his best course of action.

Those were districts ruled by Zupans but ruled by a grand prince, zupan etc, later king and czar. unfortunately Serbs are crazy snd fight against each other as perfectly described in the video. *The Principality of Serbia (Serbian: Кнежевина Србија, romanized: Kneževina Srbija) was one of the early medieval states of the Serbs, located in the western regions of Southeastern Europe. It existed from the 8th century up to c. 969-971 and was ruled by the Vlastimirović dynasty. Its first ruler known by name was Višeslav who started ruling around 780. While by that time, starting from the year 680-681, the Bulgarian state had taken the lands to the east. Vlastimir resisted and defeated the Bulgarian army in a three-year-war (839-842), and the two powers lived in peace for some decades. Vlastimir's three sons succeeded in ruling Serbia together, although not for long; Serbia became a key part in the power struggle between the Byzantines and Bulgarians, predominantly allied with the Byzantines, which also resulted in major dynastic wars for a period of three decades. The principality was annexed in 924 by Simeon I and subjected to Bulgarian rule until 933 when Serbian prince Časlav was established as ruler of the Serbian land, becoming the most powerful ruler of the Vlastimirović dynasty.* Source: wikipedia, page Principality of Serbia(early medieval). 780-960(Byzantine annexation) Capital city: Dostinik/Dostinika(Destinikon in greek)

That leads to my second correction that I need to give you which is dynasty of Vojislavljević is Montenegrin first dynasty not Serbian dynasty. Also "battle of Bar" is called "Tuđemil battle" and 1054 there is no Serbia who was at that time called Raška which got name from town of Ras. Raška was province in Kingdom of Duklja. The pope give title "Rex Sclavorum" or "King of Slavs" to Montenegrin dynasty not Serbian. Serbia as independent state again started to be in 1166. But to circle, all video is good some mistakes but for the next video, I hope you do a little bit more research. 😁
@kurjakhistory4727

John Skylitzes (Byzantine 11th century contemporary historian) describes Stefan Vojislav as Archon of the Serbs and of Serbia. It is clear from written evidences that these sub-states such as Zeta, Duklja, Raška etc. were seen as Serbian counties and states. The term 'Crna Gora' or 'Montenegro' was first used to describe the wider mountain range around the 14th century. Culturally, there is no real meaningful distinction to make between Serbian and Montenegrin culture. This video describes as you mentioned Duklja as Serbian as this is how it was refered to at the time period in question.
