Well I can tell it's a Mercedes by the way she was crankin over, they even do that in the summer, their just a cranky motor. Little suggestion, keep a key in the ignition that way if you get locked out you can bust a window and keep running. I keep one in the ignition, one in pocket, one under the hood, and the other in my wallet.

Trust me on the keurig, I got a 100$ one in january, and tim hortons coffee to go with it the cups, and I liked it at first but its not the same or it doesn't taste the same as a timmies coffee.

Congrats on the new Freightliner.. I would be putting in 0W40 or 5W40 full synthetic for engine oil, for startability in cold weather, plus upper engine wear benefits... You can pay for the oil by buying one of those stainless steel baskets for your coffee maker and buy the Tims in bulk... I find trucking is all about nickels and dimes, you can be sure the company will be nickel and diming you... I noted your largest asset sitting in the passenger seat in the 1st new truck video. Wow 35 years for you to draw from for free..... Best of luck to you and Diesel.....

Out of curiosity (nosiness really) could you sometime briefly explain what plugging the cable does for your truck? Work a block heater / coolant heater / oil pan heater / charge up batteries or what precisely? Also what aids is the truck fitted with beyond these for cold starting - glow plugs, manifold heater, excess fuel device?

It's a block heater ,heats the coolant. Some diesel engines do have glow plugs

Trucker Josh, Canada and The US are about the same exact size. US Area: 3.794 million sq miles Canada Area: 3.855 million sq miles Those maps that make Canada look small are accurate. The earth isn't square so square maps make the Northern countries appear larger.

Be glad your not as over populated as U.S. I live on puget sound (marysville wa ) and the pollution here is so bad we just shut down our shellfish farms and we can no longer eat the crab. We have sea lions and Wales washing up on beaches. Now as of the 18 th no fishing in most lakes and rivers , fish population down from over fishing. I've been driving locally for 18 years and my lungs are so bad from all the exhaust fumes some days it's hard to breath. It takes an hour and a half to make the trip from woodinville to Everett ,,, a trip that took 35 min 20 years ago. WHY,?!?!?

Freightliner is part of Mercedes-Benz Group or whatever they're called. Many parts come from MB trucks and buses, and the steering wheel is one of them. Probably the previous owner got a steering wheel logo from Europe and replaced the original.
