Dovewing’s eyes were confirmed as green. Also, remember how heterochromia is two eye colors? Well, they are changing dovewing’s eye colors and there are three eye colors that the Erin’s have mentioned, not two. And only one of the eye colors are blue.

That would actually make for a really interesting protagonist! Which is exactly why it won't happen lmao. Pretty sure we'll never get a protagonist with any kind of attitude or flaws. Jay truly one of a kind. Can't speak for Night I've only loosely followed this arc at best but he seemed to have gotten over it almost immediately after finding a love interest

I was thinking she was either going to be white or cream colored considering the moon from on the ground looks white. It'd be neat if she was also a russet color considering the blood moon.

Same, I was relived when her design was revealed. FINALLY, A NON GRAY CAT. And I think it also might have happen because the other cat who has Moon as their name is Moonflower, a gray tabby She-Cat. Also the fact that when people think of moon they think of a gray sphere or a white glowing sphere.

I actually didn't think she would be grey. but that was based on the assumption she'd be a night x sun kit; I thought she'd be black.

Ivypool and Fernsong are related but they aren't first cousins. Incest is pretty much inevitable at this point, but first cousins? Really?

Yeah Warriors has always had an incest problem, even during the early days. I guess that's what happens when your clans only desire "pure blooded warriors".

What Juniperclaw did was for his clans best interest, (even though it was a bit dramatic) and even saved Shadowsight, but got thrown in the DF anyways. Starclan confuses me sometimes

Yeah, the warriors team would never write anything that complex. It's a great idea but it's going to be something really simple like evil spirit cat. Unfortunatly....also why is every single cat having voices in their heads recently? Did they forget they wrote entire series with the characters barely interacting with spirits? Like in the first series it wasn't even fully clear Starclan was real until they definitively gave Firestar nine lives. I'm not saying they have to go back to that just that they can do a story without it being revolved around evil spirits. Like Darktail's plot was like that aswell. They gotta choose a new plot device

Sunbeam told Nightheart “yes, but not yet” when they asked about future kits in the current series because she wanted to know him better before making that commitment. Sunbeam isn’t ready to have kittens, it wouldn’t have made sense for Moonpaw to be her kit.

Bayshine is fairly relevant in the most recent arc being a best friend of Nightheart. Sunbeam was a background character prior to this arc… I think it’s good that other families get to be explored. Also Sunbeam literally told Nightheart she didn’t want kits yet, when they spoke about it, so having moonpaw be her kit would require a large time gap to make any sense… and with how much is going on right now, that would gloss over some interesting stuff.

Dovewing's eyes being heterochromia is just a fun headcanon, they are confirmed green in the series (it does retcon most of OOTS tho).

@cornfederatee he isn't tortoiseshell, he's just orange with black patches, more on the side of the black half of his face.

If eye color is not specified in the books, then it is up to the designer's interpretation/artistic choice. the wiki is not officially run by the warrior cats writing team or anything like that. so it's just something a fan decided to do since the eye color in the books is never stated.

@@cornfederatee A regular looking tortoiseshell cat can be a chimera. It’s hard to tell if a cat is a chimera just by looking at it sometimes. If both zygotes were going to be short furred black cats, then a normal looking black cat could be a chimera and no one would know. Mapleshade (and any other cat for that matter) could easily be a chimera but the point of the comment was that the people I was explaining it to refused to see the word chimera and not associate it with a fur pattern. I’m mostly confused by you now and your understanding of chimeras if you think it’s impossible for Mapleshade to be one since she’s tortoiseshell. Quick edit to clarify more, there are a lot of headcanons people have and this person, like most artistic warriors fans, has a few designs. I was complaining about them saying “chimera design go brrrr” over them making a cat labeled as chimera be just a cat split down the middle by two different designs, not the fact Mapleshade was made a chimera. Also the fact they said this while I was trying to explain the fact chimeras aren’t a fur pattern (someone said “that’s not what Google Images says” for crying out loud it felt like talking to a wall!)

Actually, she could be a chimera, but not for the half and half face. While tortoisehells and calicos are the result of the same genetics, the white that calicos have causes the splotching to merge into larger sections, thus their very different appearances. Moonpaw, however, is shown to have a more tortoiseshell-like pattern, despite her white throat and underbelly. It's possible that she could be a chimera of a tortoiseshell (with no white) and a bicolor/high white cat.
