@@Elmushterri I would love to see a show like this in fact back in my day I actually watched it shows called Oswald, The Upside Down Show,Maggie and the Ferocious beats and also The Backyardigans those shows were really good I really recommend you watch them.
As someone with autism, I have a lot of sensory issues and I absolutely love this idea!!! I wish exploration of not liking certain senses as characters in a kids show or anywhere was more common! I think things like not liking certain scents or being touched or sounds get looked at like people are being dramatic by society but I love that they’re like performers so they’re MEANT to be dramatic and pushed to extremes so it makes it more normalised
I know that it is pure coincidence that sight's performance thing (IDK what you'd call it) makes bubbles. But the bubbles mirror sight and how when you touch the bubble it reflects how sight feels when being touched and how uncomfortable it makes them feel.
I had some name ideas! Smell- Ollie/Oliver=like Olfactory (smell sensations) Taste- Gus/Augustus/Gustav= sounds like Gustatory (taste sensations ) Sight- Sunny/Soleil=fits the Sun/light theme- (I had no names for them that matched ‘visual’)
Oh my gosh! The way those make so much sense! I do like Sunny, but if we did need a name that sounded like Visual, maybe Vincent or something? Not sure, but these are definitely the best ones I’ve had!
Sight: Solis (referenced from the color of his clothes, the color of the sun) Smell: Aster (referenced from the flower) Taste: Terry (referenced from terracotta)
Interestingly enough I actually *did* watch a children's show based on the five senses as a kid! It was called Noonbory and the Super 7, and it was this Korean kids show with an English dub about these... colorful humanoid things, who all had superpowers based on the five senses which they used to help others and fight bad guys. The only ones of the group that didn't have these powers were the titular Noonbory and this orange guy I forgot the name of whose super sense was "nonsense". I should probably look it up again to see if it's really crappy (if you aren't a kid anymore at least) or not lol Anyways I absolutely adore your artstyle and your character designs and your storytelling ideas holy damn you're so underrated I just immediately subscribed when I first found your videos hhhfshhs-
Tried to think of acts with smell and taste. Thought smells act could be a modified version of the flower that spits water, and instead of water it spit out a variety of strange smelling things. Taste would then also be apart of the act being the one who gets the strange smelling from the flower and tastes it, would probably just be a variety of strange tasting foods. I know it seems quite basic but it's all I could think of.
Those are both so creative! I love that you’ve taken time to think about it, I appreciate that so much. These seem fun, I’d definitely attend a performance with these! 🧡✨
A smell act could be tricks with making flowers appear and disappear or maybe like shaping flower topiaries? And a taste performance could be like those perfoming chefs that make their cooking fiery and dramatic?
4:19 i can agree on that, especialy on the smell part, cause i myself, have generally some difficulties to smell things, but never or rarelly for the agrumes, like lemons and oranges, onlike any other thing, BECAUSE of their strong smell. So i can totally agree with that.😌
Smell guys act could be playing around with uh scented coloured fog/gas. I could imagine like him using like flower shaped fans that u have to spin to make the scented fog swirl and move. Taste guy could also be very good at stimulating feeling and emotions with his socializing skills. Both of there acts could be making people feel somesort of paradise memory thing they can manipulate.
I love this concept and the designs so much! I could imagine touch being an animal lover who is a humane beast tamer (or maybe if it’s a more magical world, the animals pretend to be feral for the act!). I do agree that not many shows growing up delved into certain problems kids can run into. For me, I realized I don’t like when my salad touches other foods (I’m not picky by any means, I really can’t stand the sauces and dressings mixing with each other!) and wondered if there was any books on the topic. There happened to be one which resolved with the kid getting a special plate where no food touched, but I settled on asking for salad in a different plate or clearing the salad off the plate first :)
I feel like hearing/sound could maybe make music or whatever but find too much sound overwhelming - not necessarily just loud sounds, but lots of different types of sounds at the same time or whatever. And she’d bring headphones everywhere so she could like…block out noise and jam out to some music. I think a lot of people (myself included lol) have those kinds of sensory issues. A show like this is a really cool concept.
Another good correlation between the sight character and bubbles is that bubbles can reflect all visible colors, and you can't touch bubbles or they'll pop!
idea for smell the taste they would be part of a cooking portion in which the other tries to get the to see or in this case taste/smell in their way one being picky about the smell the other about the taste of foods and drinks
Im 2 years too late, but I imagine the sense of smell guy being a story teller who uses different smells to bring people into a scene (ex: the smell of stone, wool, and fire during a story taking place in a medieval throne room), and the sense of taste guy making really crazy confections (think Cake Wars the tv show) and hosting eating competitions for audience members :)
Now here me out Sight or I think Sunny now is aroace in my head cannon THERE ENTIRE COLOR PALETTE MATCHES THE AROACE FLAG AND THE FACT THE DON'T REALLY LIKE TOUCH IT JUST FITS
smell and taste could have a live action cooking show maybe? smell does have a big influence on taste in the real world so i think it would be fitting and they could also give away the food at the end of their segment together if you plan on making a part2 i think touch could easily be an animal trainer! i imagine they love animals of all types, playing around with them, doing dangerous stunts and would bring people onto the stage to touch their aligators or lions and teach the audience on courage and respecting physical boundaries also i absolutely love your designs! the way you colour/shade is rlly nice and your art style is just unique in general :) i'll be completely honest i immediately got jumpscared by the arabic name at the start LOL (no hate btw im also arabic!)
This is super funky!! This would be such a cool show and probably be good for a lot of neurodivergent kids too since the characters so far have nd traits, so like it can teach normalisation and acceptance to kids:) (hope I phrased that right)
I've only seen 3 videos of yours, and I love your channel, also I've been raised on 90s shows since I was a small baby, and I even watched the Betty boop videos when I was around 6 or 8, I loved watching barney until I was around 7 but it still has a place in my heart
When I look at the visual/seeing guy all I can think of is the song line "look but you can't touch!" by Mariko and that's certainly not child appropriate 😂😂😅 Also for hearing you can make someone who might like listening in on things or gossip, and for touch maybe you can make someone who uses a lot of fidget toys and such? Cause those should definitely be normalized since people with neurological disorders use them~
Oh, I think Taste and Smell are a double act who bring people up on stage and demonstrate how smell, expectations and previous experiences affects how things taste.
2 years late, glaring at the part 2. WISHING, HOPING, BEGGING FOR THE HEARING PERSON TO BE SOME SORT OF CALM GIRL AND TO BE BLIND. (Blind is the main wish beg hope. Anyways gonna watch part 2 now.)
You should look at phyconaughts with helmet fullerenes mindscape it deals with sensory deprivation, and sensory overload the people that the senses smell and taste in the overall story are in a realtionship
I think a touch person would have an episode about boundaries How some people don't like to be touched and it's not okay to touch people in certain ways, such as slapping their but or punching them, maybe they have anger issues which lead to the punching thing but I doubt a kids TV show would let a character touch another in a private place or Karen would out of context screenshot it That sort of episode could also focus on emotional control
For naming some of the senses I base them off their sort off/latin translations life harry potter spells Sense/latin/name Sight/aspectum/ Aspez Smell/none/ Matteo or Matt Taste/none/ Gio pronounced like Geo Sound/ m. Auditus f. Audire/ f. Audri Touch/none / Sammy Can you please make sound/Audri be non binary?
There are a FEW good kids shoes these days, but I agree that there has been a definite downgrade. Some people seem to think “for young children” means an excuse to half-ass it and just have some low quality cgi characters sing a song with a word or two replaced to make it “unique.”
2:40 ALSO BECAUSE YOU CANT TOUCH BUBBLES BECAUSE IF YOU DO THEY DISAPPEAR I THOUGHT THATS WHAT YOU WERE GETTING AT WITH THAT ELEMENT OF THE CHARACTER BECAUSE ITS GENUIS BUT APPARENTLY NOT SO IM PUTTING IT HERE **gets genuinely excited** 6:45 **deeply offended that you didn’t make taste have a lime earring to incorporate the green AND compliment the fact that smell has a lemon earring 😡😡** /lh
Wait tHE LIME EARRING MAKES SO MUCH SENSE! I’m adding that in part 2 and crediting you!! ALSO SO IS THE BUBBLES THING, VERY GOOD INTERPRETATION OF IT! You have such good ideas!! 💅💅💅💅💅💅💅✨✨✨✨✨
Hmmmmmm i know im kinda late and you might not respond but are you okay if I draw fanart of these chacters I like their designs and also like their dynamics
It was my great great grandma's name and I think you should draw your own style I'm just saying you can draw your own style of She-Ra I'm a big fan it's so nice and if you watch it even me it's kind of cool
