Uneven distribution of weaponry might be because it's his usual awesome but glass cannon-y all-in build. Plus it will be only half as effective when one arm is disabled, which leads to prolonged engagements, which usually leads to death because it will take way longer for the target to overheat *and* it will take whole 2 cycles to headcap. Which may just lead to your - you guessed it! - death when the enemy "wakes up", considering that with this "hitman" build your preferred target is the most dangerous one. It's just a whole lot of death because you become too inefficient when you lose any of your weapons, the only hope is that you'll lose flamer arm first and just become a big ol' SPL boat with nearly not as many SPLs as you should have when boating.

Yeah, but as we saw in the video, if you loose one arm, the tactic is defeated _entirely._ So, like torso-twisting off damage, spread the damage out amongst the components as well. At least you still have a fighting chance with even half your arsenal. This, BTW, is why I _prefer_ to use symmetrical zombie mechs- even distrobustion of all hardpoints _and_ a weapon even if both torsos are blown off. ...Assuming, of course, that you aren't using an IS XL Engine, in which case you're fucked either way.

As I also said, this tactic is fine-tuned to be barely enough even with all available weapons. You need *all* SPLs to one-shot a cockpit, you need *all* flamers to efficiently disable a 'Mech without taking too much damage. This tactic is defeated _entirely_ when you just lose *one* SPL since you won't be able to one-cycle your enemy, leading to potential death from a heavily armed 'Mech that has 3hp in their cockpit but is otherwise completely fine, that will then proceed to wipe your entire team out because that's how unfinished, almost dead enemies always work.

Thunder Soul You have a fair arguement but from my experience, you can provide excellent support for your team. I helped secure plenty of kills after losing laser arm by shutting down the enemy. If I lose flamers, I just play a little more cautiously. Yes losing arm is still really crap, but it's not the end of the world. You also don't need to always aim for the head if armor has been stripped off.

Oh it's definitely a lethal joke build, so to speak, but it's pretty effective in its own right. Ideally, as a medium mech, you probably don't want to be pulling too much aggro anyway. With all the front heavy builds, you could let someone else tank the damage, burn their backs, then knife them with the SPLs. Maybe less satisfying overall, but could get it done. Still scoops to gauss though.
