Last six months when I got the front lever I was using your front lever program and it really worked but the reason it worked was that because I do alot dragon flag raise using weights and that made my core really strong and I used yours to correct my strength form so It turned from a bad form to a good one so thanks for that

@@tobstar241 depends on what workout i have since I am a Kong fu practicioneer i already have strong core but the way I train core is I have it in my program and I track it, I am not just a person who say's alright let's train core strength! I put them in my routine just like another muscle but when I have movements like deadlifts and squats I keep them after those because I need my core strength in those movements to prevent injuries and when I only have movements that are less core related like biceps,triceps I usually train it before, I hope you got an idea about how I rearrange my workouts!

@@TheJackedVegan thanks! but yea my best full planche was a 3 second attempt, but i wanna try and get 5 seconds cuz i think it also said in one of ur videos that a hold is more 4-5 seconds and an attempt is 1-3, so ima keep working on that until i can do it good 😆

Great Video! I would definitely put some of your advices into my routine also the false grip can help unlock the ring muscle up but yes takes time to get used to. Thanks for the great content.

It's not pure but if you have access to a cable machine lay on the ground protract scapula and do a straight arm pull down. Seemed to help me step through the progressions, and is a good warmup

Hey Jake, I love your content as always!💪💪🔥. Question, can you get the front lever if you can do a pull up plus your body weight for 1 rep and just get good at dragon flags? I heard people talk about it and wanted pick your brain on the subject. Also what is your 1rm on weighted pull-ups?

I'd say if you also add fl negatives/pulls in there you would likely get it with those 3 exercises since it sounds like you're quite strong with pulling! I feel the negatives are needed to add in the straight arm work needed for the front lever and the proprioception to hold the middle position. I've never actually tested my 1RM or really extensively trained weighted pullups to see the extent of my strength. I weight 72kg and did +40kg pullups for 5 reps recently if this helps. Unsure on my max though

weighted pullup and front lever don't really correlate since the pulling angle is so different. the front lever requires your arms to be at a ~50 degree angle with the body while weighted pulls are more of a vertical pulling motion through all angles of lat activation. you'd likely need to train the front lever specifically to do it, especially with proper form, but given your really good pulling strength you'd likely get it fairly quickly

@@derekchen5749 weighted pull ups helped me get from tuck to staddle. The weighted pull ups work your back and it’s the main muscle in the front lever.

How hard do you think 2 finger front lever is compared to front lever? I can hold 2 finger FULL front lever for 4 seconds

IMO its a bit harder as you have slightly less leverage on the bar but its not too much harder as the fingers aren't too important in front, but still very impressive!
