Really negative video, really strange title also, you mentioned it might not be for everyone but you call the title " The X100VI is not for you" Just curious why you feel that the new processor, the IBIS, the new AI tech, the new film simulations, the increase might not be needed based around you're very limited experience as a photographer>? Also you keep changing your view, one moment you say something negative then you say something positive about the same subject? Quite confusing? Whilst the camera is very over hyped ( I concur) it is actually carrying weight with positive reviews, and as you said " there are hundreds of videos out there already" I get the idea behind your review, I kind of see where you wanted to go with it but if you haven't used the camera, owned the camera, so how do you think you can review it? Even if you owned the camera do you not think it would take a little time to work on before giving it a negative review? What kind of bold statement is " Don't go out and buy this camera, wait for a while until it's been tested" ? Look at your comment below " 1 hour ago Thanks! What's is your channel about, stop talking about gear and go out and shoot, you said it yourself? Whether anyone is new to photography to has experience, I'm sure the 95% of positive reviews will let them decide themselves. The only reason for anyone not to buy the new Fujifilm is they have enough experience and equipment and they are already happy with what ever camera(s) they use. I have most of the X100 range, and I've been shooting FujiFIlm since it was 35Mm film Years, it's all about the 1400 grams in your head, luck and light, contrast and energy and in this case correct research/ adjudication. If your view is it's not for you, just say it's not for you that's great, you are happy with what you have that's great also. Great channel, Good luck
First of all, thanks for watching the video. I wanna address some specific points in your comment. 1. Yes I do think this is an incredible camera, and it is an improvement on so many levels, as you mentioned. My point is that I dont think everyone needs to spend the big bucks to buy a camera like this, depending on your use case, you might be just as happy with an x100t or x100f. So my view doesnt flip-flop around, I just make arguments for both sides and people have to decide for themselves what is more important. 2. I think you misunderstood my comment: "dont go out and buy it." Im arguing the point, that this camera is made in China instead of Japan. Lots of people dislike this fact. I was arguing that not everything that is made in China is automatically bad, we will need to see how the quality holds up in the long run - but if you´re unsure about it, "dont go out and buy it immediately, wait maybe 6 months, to see how the quality holds up and then buy it" 3. Maybe I need to work on my lighting a bit more, im still trying myself out and getting into all these aspects. 🙂 4. Yes my channel is all about gear, if you take a closer look I used to make videos about photography and the process itself, going out and showing the pictures im shooting. Unfortunately when making videos like this I was concentrating more on making the video rather than on my photography. Therefore I decided Id rather make videos about photography gear, as its just more fun for me. And then I can go out and take pictures without having to worry about creating a video around it.
I have an x100v which I’ve bought 3 times . I’ve had a preorder for the new vi for a year before it was released at my local camera store . Well I gave my preorder away to a friend an grabbed a Ricoh gr for the second time . What you are saying I completely agree with . If I wanted pure af domination I would just use one of my Sony a7iv’s. I’m good with my v .

I don’t want to bring people to buy or not buy those awesome camera😬 just want to point out that people might see too much into these new specs, that for specific use cases they might not need.
