Like Sarcese52, I ordered the X100vi on the 1st day orders were being accepted from B&H. I work early in the morning to do this. When I contacted B&H to find out when I might expect the camera they told me they didn’t know. Fair enough. Fuji received a million orders worldwide. They wouldn’t let me know where I stood on their waiting list. B&H never stayed in contact with me. I canceled my X100VI order after three and a half months. I was on the waiting list for a year for the X100V before Fuji announced they were no longer manufacturing that camera. I am not waiting a year for the X100VI. I am not paying a premium for a camera I can’t obtain. I bought a Sony A7C with the 35/2.8 lens. 75% of the price of the X100VI. I didn’t have to wait for the camera. It has interchangeable lens capability. The autofocus is better than the X100VI. It is clear Fuji doesn’t want me as a customer. So be it. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
I ordered mine in February as well from B&H, I got an email that I would get it in October. But, two days ago, I got an email that it was processed and I now get it tomorrow. Be patient, B&H is shipping now especially if you ordered it in Feb 20th.
I’ve heard this same thing from other posters too. Apparently the B&H emails are significantly over exaggerated (probably just in case) and they’re shipping much sooner. That’s fantastic news! Congratulations
The more videos on the X100 series published by content creators, the more hype they'll be, the less availability they'll be and the highest price they'll be...
I heard that if you call best buy and POLITELY ask if there is one in stock. After a few tries they may locate one that pops into inventory and sell it to you on the spot.
I just got a message yesterday from Fujifilm that they had the x100vi back in stock in their e-shop, and it's sold out again today. But I changed my mind, I want something smaller, so I'll go for the D-Lux 8. Well, once it's in stock again... 😅 But I'll never pay over list price, never.
I have one sitting in the box not even used and its the limited edition ... sitting on the fence on whether to use it or sell it. Bought at the regular price.
Oh that’s incredible! How did you get a limited edition at MSRP? Honestly if it’s still in the box you might as well make some money and sell it. Especially if you don’t currently have a use currently for it.
Been an X100 user since model 1. I have had the T and the F. Couldn’t not buy a V due to it being out of stock. Now I can’t buy a VI for the same reason. I don’t get it. I even went to Japan hoping to buy one… not possible! 😢
@@mfratino1567 I genuinely think Fuji enjoys the low stock hype around this camera. Part of me thinks they released in limited quantity on purpose just to ride the hype from the V a little longer.
Amusing video. I'll hold off spending $2500 on EBay for the X100V1. I got no idea what a X100V1 is but hey, good video... You deserved a comment and a like.
@@sottukungsamkyupsal8844 I have no idea what the camera does. I just saw the video with zero views and figured "What the heck?" I still don't know the back story. I have long gear list to buy (DJI Pocket 3, Insta360 Go 3s, etc.).
@@sottukungsamkyupsal8844if you sell it for $2000 or less I would lol. I’ll pay 3-500 more than msrp to get it now, but $1000 is ridiculous given how limiting this item is. It’s encroaching used medium wear and tear Leica Q2 prices which imo is a better buy if you don’t want the film simulations.
@@tlacopsiii9078 Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price, basically the standard price of an item new from the store across all stores. The x100vi sells new for $1,599 but since it’s unavailable it can be found secondhand for sometimes $2,400-$2,600.
I somewhat agree. Part of me thinks they rushed this release just to keep the hype going (because they knew they wouldn't have enough units). I don't believe they had no idea the preorder numbers would be insane.
