This Video shows how a NuTone 478 Apartment Intercom System would be wired, for use in a 2 Entry apartment building when a NuTone Model 469 Auto Call Transfer Module is used.
The NuTone 469 Auto Call Transfer Module included both the Model 467 Main Door Timer Module and the Model 468 Second Door Timer Module.
The 469 Auto Call Transfer Module allows fro greater building security because it automatically detects which entrance the visitor is located at and locks out the communication and door release from the unused 2nd entry door.
A 2 Entry System has lots of additional wiring (depending on how many apartments are in the building) and understanding how the system is wiring is essential if you are working on or repairing this system.
