For the People Eater, how about kitbashing an Ogre? You can leave off the Ogre legs, and replace them with Nob legs. You can separate the Nob legs and then rebuild the groin to widen the pelvis to match to Ogre torso. This is fun army.
@@kg3451 I know right, I like how it goes from a "civilized chaotic Australia" to a straight up "post apocalyptic chaotic desert" throughout the film franchise. Even Road Warrior is epic. I didn't expect much from Fury Road - but after seeing it in theaters, I was totally satisfied. It really is a great film. Maybe not of all time, but it's a must own in any collection for sure. I actually wish they made a "limited Mad Max mini series" maybe 8-10 episodes. Different stories from different characters perspectives. It would totally work within the universe. What are your thoughts on Water World ?
It’s an amazing concept you have there; after watching Fury Road in theaters, I remember telling my friends that it was the best action movie I’d ever seen. You’re bringing it to mean, green life!
My favourite war gaming channel, while I enjoy more serious topics like harsh criticism of GW from other channels, you always make the hobby feel so joyful and get me excited to paint and build my minis. Working on a weird harlequin army at the moment
Nice, I like the plans for kitbashing vehicles - Classic ork armies often had trukks and rhinos cobbled together from Imperial kits, misc plastic models, and toys
OI YAH GIT! The Warboss on bike rules are in the Forgeworld Imperial Armor Compendium, and has been FAQ'ed. Also, good for you for mixing up skin tones. It's nice to see a spectrum of olive to saturated green. Also, good use of Spellcrow parts to mix it up. I'm one of those insane Ork players that's been playing them for over 20 years, so I have a small town of various infantry, but that is because I love the Greenskins and enjoy building and painting them. Orkses are what'cha makes of 'em, and I love that old 3rd edition feel with a good mix of serious and silly. Keep it up, an' yer boyz'll find a proppa eminy ta be killin!
This is what i'd get iif i was you and had your skills in converting. A Battlewagon converted into the Big truck from Fury Road with all the Speakers and the Guitarist on it and a couple of Trukks with Orks on Poles and maybe a couple buggies with the Guzzolene Spears. This is my favorite Project you've mentioned / shown, i wanna see what it's gonna look like when it's all done. 😀
I recently converted a 1/48 scale Airfix VW Beetle into a Kustom Boosta-blasta, and covered the thing in spikes and used red Australian desert sand for the base. Really love the base you've done for the Boss nob on the warbike!
I remember MiniWarGaming years ago did a video about a similiar approach to Orks to replicate how WAR let you pick skin tones. That's always been my plan whenever I start my Ork army. For the Doofwagon (Toofwagon?) you'll have to get some Orc Warchanters for the drummers
MadMax Fury Road is one of the best movies of these past few decades ! And the only movie I know having its own world as the hero^^ Everything in this movie is about this crazy univers and its inhabitants, and I cannot think of any other movie like this :D
I loved Fury Road and have enjoyed watching you take inspiration and apply it towards our hobby. You should start referring to your boss as Immorkan Joe.
This was great! I love the idea of the two random greens for the skin like that’s an amazing idea!!! If you’re looking for Mad Max things, look at Felix’s Kroot Wagon. Take the Kroot off and then add Orks ;)
You gotta add Mozrog Skragbad so us fans can see you paint the Great White Squig. He totally fits a post apocalyptic world if you ask me. To tie it into Fury Road maybe add some silver paint to his nose. Or I was just imagining him mutant-ized crawling out of neon green toxic waste pool.
I think Orks are by far the best army in 40K to do a post-apocalyptic themed force (next to maybe chaos cultists). They almost look the part without much kitbashing, just a cool paint scheme to really emphasize that post apocalyptic look. All of their piecemeal weapons, gear, and vehicles fit right in with almost no modifications needed. It will be really cool to see how you create The People Eater and the Kill Rig. Even trying to recreate some of the Mad Max vehicles into Ork versions would be cool. Also, if you like Mad Max look into This Is Not A Test. Decent game and it has Mad Max and Fallout vibes galore.
I love this idea- basing your faction on a film etc makes me wonder if you could do it with anything else? Kill Bill Tau, eldar based on the Crow, sin City imperial guard...
Love your orks! I just love orks in general! Would love to see you kitbash and paint up more orks in the future. You can put a guitar ork on your future kill rig/battlewagon kitbash just like the Doof warrior.
Nice models! I just started building an ork army myself. I have a little ways to go to get up to where you are but getting there! I love watching videos of Ork Armies! Keep it up!
There are rules for a warboss on bike in grimdark future from one page rules. One of the main reasons why I've started to play that. You can even make him a weird boy, on bike, or any number of combinations.
It's really cool that you put immortan joe on a bike because if you haven't read the prequel comics too Fury road, one of the comics follow Immortan joe and his war band and how they find the giant rock fortress. In this prequel him and his generals are riding Bikes, very much based more on Harels and its cool that on purpose or accident that you represent that.
Orcs are not animals they are mushrooms. Considering they are mushrooms and a whole colony of mushrooms can be one singular organism it actually makes complete sense for them to look the same.
FINALLY love to see the new army Jay! Your approach to doing green skin on your orks inspired me to do the same, I almost have the kill team of them done :)
If you build the shirtless Boyz you give them black face paint like the warboys and give a few chrome spayed teef. Need some little spray can attachments.
Love your channel! Warboss on warbike isn't legends, just the named character is. Imperial armor compendium has his stats, along with Nobz on warbikes and a couple others
The coolest Ork army that I’ve seen in awhile. The war rig was the name of furiosas truck. Please keep updating this army! What about a car with a blood bag militarum or maybe penitent engine body man on the cross on the front. So any of these have spray paint around the mouth 👄?
Not sure if this has been said yet, but the Warboss on Bike is not in Legends, its juat in the Armor Compendium (rulebook that has all forgeworld rules) but most players just print out a copy of the rules for the 1 or two forgeworld models in their list.
You should watch Mad Max Fury road again and take notes for more ideas. You should also watch the older Mad Max movies from the 80's, most particularly Mad Max 2 Road Warrior which laid down the strong foundation for Fury Road.
For people eater I would suggest maybe either a modified beastboss or maybe a modded painboss also you could make furryosia (sorry for spelling) a trukk cause her war rig (name of truck)
Well technically, the ork nob sprue on which you also get the heavy weapon, were a sprue introduced in fourth edition, orgiginally you'd only get normal boys and had to buy special weapons and nobs in metal
Jay, GW just put something on pre-order next weekend that you NEED for your Ork Fury Road set: The Promethium Tanks on a Cargo-8 Ridgehauler Trailering
If you are going to build the big rig from the movie with the guy using the flamthrower guitar maybe you could use the goff rocker model and a noise marine to kitbash something together.
Why not use some of the vehicles from the Children of Votann as well as the Cargo-8 Ridgehauler for some of the vehicles? Remember all kits are Ork kits.
Do you think you’ll be using any chrome airbrushing around the mouths / using a chaos noise marine bits to help build the war wagon? I’m sorry, I’m really excited to see what you do after watching the video.
I'm really enjoying this series of army showcases and love to see your progress on this army in particular. Kind of weird that the base rims are painted in different colors though. Any plans to make them uniform?
I read that in the lord of the rings trilogy that they made 10,000 unique masks for the orcs so that none would look alike. In a way your method is very appropriate at least in that light.
I do want to make the point that because they are fungus, they technically would be identical or at least closer in appearance to each other than normal animals or human beings would be. The difference would sizes
