That’s the conversation nobody wants to have. Lebron could very well retire after next season. The tv media landscape will drastically change when he retires. Who are they gonna talk about everyday ? Definitely can see Skip Bayless retiring from tv too
Same here. Wanna say fans shouldn’t be bashing players for lift up someone. MJ and Kobe are ahead of Lebron for me. But you gotta respect that Lebron has done
Will it be fair IF he ends up getting rolled every game and ESPN and Skip etc start playing it on repeat until LeBron feels the need to step in? If so, then I agree with you 100%.@@steve-oking5687
But he was getting coverage since elementary, middle, Highschool, and college. What are you talking about? Do you think the NBA will be different? Let Bronny live!!! The dude almost lost his life.
Bryce actually looks like he will be a better NBA prospect than Bronny. I don't know if LeBron can hang on to that Laker GM spot if they keep getting bounced from the playoffs in the early rounds.
We already know, Lebron is all about writing his legacy now. He wana top MJ. Yes he's the first father son duo in the NBA, but that's already been done previously. Only way to separate himself is to have 2 sons in the nba at the same time with him. Calling it now, he's going to opt out of this contract next year, and sign another 1+1, and then when Bryce comes in he'll sign the 3 yr super to end his career.
..this is sad. I'm happy for bronny and LeBron but as a fan of the Lakers this reminds me of the kobe farewell tour....knowing we won't win anything year
Lebron isn’t retiring next season. It’s obvious he’s gonna stay on the lakers until Bryce gets drafted now. He’s seen what he can do for Bronny, y’all don’t think he’ll try it too with Bryce? He most definitely will. Who do y’all think organized the interview with Bryce and asking him how he feels about maybe playing with his dad? It was Rich Paul and Klutch. Lebron is one of the most low key narcissists in the world. He wants that “Hollywood story” for his family. He most def will still play until he can get BOTH his sons on an NBA team
Remember, he said years ago he was “chasing the ghost of MJ”. How do you think Lebron can “surpass” MJ? By doing something MJ couldn’t do: get his sons into the NBA
Way-too-early prediction: LeBron decided to sign that 2-year deal as a potential tactic to also get the Lakers to draft Bryce in 2026 and also get another contract. At this point I wouldn't even be surprised seeing what the Fakers have boiled down to, a circus. I also believe LeBron wants to try and pull a Tom Brady and play til he's 45. I hope this ain't the case but at this point you gotta follow the money since the Lakers front office and the LeMedia already sold their souls.
Find a new face of the NBA. LeBron is just about done. Time for the mediocre player LeBron to retire.. Name one thing LeBron is the greatest at? All I got is flopping. He's not the best passer or shooter. He's not greatest defender not that great at free throws. Maybe running straight to the basket for a dunk but could find others for that. He's just decent imo
It’s crazy seeing grown men hate on a son who graduated high school, played a year in college and made it to the NBA while surviving a cardiac arrest. What’s so bad about this?
I don't think people understand the severity of cardiac arrest. It's a life-threatening situation, and it must have been terrifying for him. I can see how that experience would motivate him to pursue his dreams of the NBA and find some peace of mind. I completely understand your perspective, and it's frustrating to see people getting worked up over something like this.
@@youngnas15 you never seen someone nearly died of something like that. I work in a hospital. Until you seen that then, don’t talk about what an excuse. He wasn’t trash in high school either. What level of completion you played?
Pathetic? What’s pathetic about a son making it to the NBA? Graduating high school and playing 1 years in college and survived having a cardiac arrest… what’s pathetic about this?
Lebron will pull the same circus move in 2 years when he hit free agency and bryce get drafted to the league and lebron and bronny might follow his team
I'm with Spears. Black, White, Asian, Hispanic, and all others, don't scoff at this. It's impressive even through all this ESPN and general media over-coverage.
Anyone bother to ask what the fans thinks about this? ONLY thing we care about is championship! Our best player instead only care about his son. Disappointing
Remember, he said years ago he was “chasing the ghost of MJ”. How do you think Lebron can “surpass” MJ? By doing something MJ couldn’t do: get his sons into the NBA. Lebron is definitely going to wait until he can get Bryce into the NBA to retire
This has already been pointed out, so I'm going to add to it. Nepotism strikes again! I don't follow the NBA, and so glad I don't because this would ruin the experience. Like so often in the past, someone getting a big opportunity because of mommy or daddy. And what says that more than actually working with them. It's like Jaden Smith in a movie with his father Will Smith, Daniel Levy also playing the son of his real father Eugene levy, Billy Ray and Miley singing together, and Dwayne Johnson and his father Rocky at the WWE. Success that way is not impressive.
I usually like most ESPN commentators. But why would you celebrate nepotism? That is so dumb. And they’re all doing it. They must be afraid of LeBron James. He could probably get them fired. That’s pathetic and unfortunate. I’m a LeBron fan, but, I don’t support nepotism.
Can they stop talking about these boys… we know jr got drafted cuz his name. Not his 4 ppg. Against mediocre colleges 😮. Question is will they also draft the other kid if he averages anywhere from 2 to 4 points a game😂
Nepotism has been part of the NBA for years. LJ has earned the right to ask a team to pick up a risk in his son, especially when making LJ happy is the most important part of the Lakers/LJ relationship.
Perk is absolutely correct…hanging on to Austin Reaves is where the problem lies I don’t understand why the Lakers and Jeanie Buss will not trade him and upgrade not trading for Murray is the beginning of the end and the ability to get better
Y’all think this makes you smarter? Better? Because you hate LeBron?😂 yall glaze him harder than anybody else because you see LeBron and you click DO YOU NOT?💀
Bronny is only in the NBA because of his father. He hasn’t done anything. He would not have been drafted, received a contract and gotten all this attention except that he is LeBrons son.
I will admit Lebron and his team has mastered the media game. Far removed from his prime/ Mvp days, Lebron IS sports media. Aside from the bubble, his team hasnt won a title since 2016. Almost a decade. The Lakers have largely been a average team during his run. Yet, he is sports talk. His oldest son was a average player and by far the most famous college athlete. We are talking about the 55th pick in the draft everyday. His youngest is ranked like #125 in the country and by far the most famous high school athlete. Lebron absolutely control the media.
Not yall acting as if the "Bubble" doesn't count 🫏 - Does the Dodgers Championship count? - Italy? - Chiefs? Y'all love the hate in your hearts, while exposing that you are in fact haters 🫵
@@intothefrayyo I'm too up to be a hater. I give LeBron his credit as a player, businessman and family man. And his sons come off very likeable. His team has played the media like a drum,I salute. You need to get off his 🥜tho
@@millardthomas9059 sure, but only after you've finished deglazing. Y'all are obsessed with this man.. First to comment on everything LeBron.. that's why he keeps getting coverage numb🔩. See how logic got you changing your tune. You got out played, so just sit over there in the corner & take your L kiddo. Good day 🤙
@@intothefrayyoYour out of your weight class and tax bracket even speaking to me. Social media is the ONLY way we would cross paths. Now go be mediocre while I be great today.
That’s crazyyyy is a second round player getting a contract already and he hasn’t even played a single minute yet. Mfer doesn’t need to grind like Reaves did😭
The Showtime Lakers obviously seen how much hype Deon Sanders & Shaduer made in Colorado & are obviously going that route drafting Bronny. They just trying to cash in on some hype. The Lakers will still be azz 😅
Perk what are you talking about for one klay didn’t wanna play for the lakers and 2 why tf would the lakers trade at for klay lakers should not trade around unless you getting a young star play and klay is not a star and klay is getting old
5:45 at some points his bodies gonna start talking to him? He hasn’t played defense since 2016 and the year he played great defensively 2020 they won the ring and was the # defense he doesn’t play off the ball, set screens, and doesn’t guard anybody if you score 30 but give up 30 you’re a neutral factor on the court, on top of that he allowed his team to blow two 20 point leads in the playoffs, yes HE I don’t wanna hear about d-lo, Ad, Ar it’s on him he makes every move and the whole game plan of his team revolves around hiding him defensively and allowing him to make every decision, every PG he plays with plays out of position and at 40 he’s not worth it anymore
Lebron, bronny, and Bryce? lebron just got swept two years in a row, bronny wouldn’t be drafted if not for his last name, and Bryce is still in HS😂 as somebody about to be 20 in 5 days as you get older and grow as a man, you start to resent what lebron stands for throws blame, builds team then says said team doesn’t have enough talent, holds every team hostage and bullies them into doing what he wants only to get one ring for all you’re gonna have to tolerate from him, he just needs to retire he’s actively hurting the lakers and the league.
They accuse LeBron and his entire cast of nepotism but for obvious reasons the boy was going to fall into the Lakers if you have the best player of all time. They have to pay attention to what he says.
That's always the case as salaries skyrocket over the years. Scotty Pippin with 6 rings had a seven-year $18 million contract his last years with the Bulls.
Also, Rob Pelinka needs to go. He isn't creative enough anymore to get good trades done. Jeanie also needs to stop worshipping lebron and take back control of her team
Michael Gray El Floppo & Klutch Sports is running and ruining this franchise. A real commissioner would have stepped in by now. This is very sad 2 watch. The Lakers have been turned into Daddy Day Care & the Liars Club at the same time.
Why is this guy talked about so much? His performance is solid, but WAY below his hype and pay grade, and it isn't going to get better. I doubt he'll ever again make it to a conference final, and if he does it will be because he pushed himself onto a team that can carry him...
I think Bron is gonna play this year obviously with his son and go for a championship. Now next year in year 23 I think he will go back to Cleveland for year 23 for a last run.
It would be a travesty to see the father-son duo of LeBron James and Bronny and him not there for his son. Bron’s championships are over now! He will take the time he has left to mentor his son.
The sad part is their first rounder Dalton is a Baller. They didn’t talk of him. They just talked to Junior, but don’t mention his four points per game.😂
