@@stickmanschannel734 meanwhile the judge would try to be processing the Garfield bus with a straight face or in general (doesn’t help that the eyes blink but it’s better than the lazy boy recliner not by much though)
Good for the other countries that has that marketing because for SOME REASON almost non of that marketing is here in Ireland I mean seriously it feels like Ireland doesn't want any fun marketing from ips
Imagine this scenario: You go to the Garfield bus stop to wait for the Garfield bus that passes by the Garfield billboard and takes you to the cinemas where the current movie is Garfield. Truly terrifying.
And then you go to see The Kingdom Of The Planet Of the Apes But there’s a Garfield trailer inside. No matter where you go, even if it isn’t Garfield, Garfield is there
you then lay in your garfield bed and dream of garfield waiting at the garfield bus stop for the garfield bus thats passes by the garfield billboard to go and see the garfield movie.
Marketing for this is going wild I even saw an billboard with garfield doing one of his poses with his eyes just opened (when he up )and closed ;-; ( this is crazy) and most likely doing the same
They are probably marketing it so much because otherwise nobody would be watching it. In 2024 Garfield has gotten pretty irrelevant so a large amount of people don't know this movie is coming out or just don't care.
I think this honestly screams "desperate". They're throwing everything at the wall to make people care about Garfield again, who is definitely a household name, but nowhere near as many people are interested in him as they used to be. This is their attempt to make people watch another Garfield project and make it look like the next big thing. Whether or not this strategy works (or more importantly, if the movie is good), we'll just wait and see.
I'll always have soft spot for Garfield in some capacity. As a 90's kid, I remember watching "Garfield and Friends" on TV when I was very, very young. Even today, I still revisit "Garfield's Halloween Adventure" and "A Garfield Christmas" during the holidays. :)
I remember they did this with Godzilla movie back in the 90's. For some reason Taco Bell was really pushing it! Our city buses was showing off how big his foot was .......it was crazy and it's why I loved that movie, it was very interactive to me
In my opinion, this is sort of paying homage to Garfield in the 70s-80s era where his merchandise was exploding from popularity to the point where they were everywhere, and even would crash up on shore from the sea. Point is, the franchise was everywhere, and I love to see his face everywhere again, this orange cat will truly never die.
I did not hear of this movie until the Olive Garden I worked at got a shipment of Garfield-themed cups and kid menus. Now it’s all I see at work. I am haunted by Garfield’s face and demands of Lasagna.
Garfield is the cartoon character i relate to the most. It's really cool that he's literally everywhere! Can't wait to watch the movie when it releases in theaters on memorial day! :D 😺
Honestly, this is the most aggressive marketing I've seen for a movie in years. I'm surprised there isn't a video game out about it...If you don't count his inclusion in Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, I mean.
There is a frozen food company in Sweden, and garfields face was on the front of the lasagnas packeting. Didn't know he was literally everywhere, though.
From what we experienced before, over promoted or hyped stuff always sucks or fails. Fallout 76, Cyperpunk 2077, Ugly Dolls, Star Wars Battlefront "Remaster", The big day by chance the rapper, Revival by Eminem, Battlefield 2042, I could go on.
