He was probably in his 40-50s when the bombs fell , 219 years later makes him about 270 years old. Dude is close to 300 years old. People keep making this mistake alot thinking he is only about 200 yo
I reckon he could well be , unless somebody who was older than him when the bombs fell managed to survive allt this time , maybe the vault salesman from fallout 4?
@@gloryshadow8710 he seemed like a coward. they made knights seem brave up until tidus started shitting himself when he went into that cave. granted, it was yao guai, but still. he was just one bad knight.
This show really nailed the ridiculousness of the games rather than trying to be a standard Hollywood adaptation which I admire. I'm also glad they went with an original story set in the canon rather than retreading the plot of Fallout 4
Yeah it's weird watching a show for the first time yet knowing what virtually EVERYTHING in it is because of my Fallout experience. It's like a carbon copy of the game!
All three of the main characters are a Player type. Lucy is the noob player who sunk her tag skills into combat skills but then tries to be goody-two-shoes diplomat without a Speech tag skill. Max is the guy who goes for the cool things without thinking through consequences. And The Ghoul is the powergamer who's done this before and gets his kicks out of townicide runs.
For added context, the dude in the armor is a noob, and basically stole the armor from the previous owner because he believed he didn't deserve it. As I write this, it was more of a self-preservation tactic. The injured previous owner let him know that since he didn't do his job as a squire, he'd be killed when they reported back to base. So, he watched the owner die, instead of using a stimpak on him.
In the ither hand is a ghoul that fought in the resource war and knows the power armor and its flaws well and an ex marine who turned into a tv star cowboy and became the toughest and dangerous gjoul in the wasteland so he had an upoerhand against a noob squire
@@wisdomfox857the brotherhood 100% punishes those who break rules and Knight Tidus at this point was over the brotherhood since they kept sending him on missions to acquire relics that ended up being useless like a toaster oven so he 100% would've used his position of power as a Knight to do everything possible to get Max punished for his actions. Maybe go watch power of rings if you want an example of bad writing 😂
@@pieck5460 they don't just hand out the armor to anyone tidus would have never be able to keep it that's what I mean more loyal and brainwashed type think the brotherhood means every thing then some like him would got
You are correct but looking at the heads up display for Maximus it's the one seen in Fallout 4 and 76 a Fusion core is needed to wear one of these. 2:00-3:30
Upon re-watching and seeing the final episode you realize Ghoul knew whoever was in there was a rookie and took it easy on him. He legit could've killed maximus with one well placed shot
I don't think Cooper was purposefully taking it easy of Max. As we see with the way he treats Lucy/others, Coop is extremely ruthless and doesn't care if you're a noob or a veteran, he'll kill you without hesitation unless you can help him in some way. He just couldn't take advantage of the power armor's weakness at this point because he was using that explosive type ammo but when he fights the Brotherhood, we see him load a cone shaped ammo which is probably the type of ammo that can penetrate the power armor's weak spot.
Also considering the fact that Cooper had seemingly just recently been awakened from what we can assume to be a relatively lengthy "dirt nap", it stands to reason that he might still be shaking off the rust. He's not long since been back on the board since this scene - although that didn't stop him from violating those people who dug him up, the folks from the settlement in the video as well as whoever else he might've run into along the way which we perhaps didn't see, before he got to Max. To the best of our knowledge, none of those people were in power armour.
@@wayothefro3249He could've definitely killed him when he was stuck but he already knew he won by that point. You can also see him aiming for the chest plate which is a great detai.
I think he took it easy on him because power armor guy came in as like a comic relief wannabe moderator and gave him a warning to stand down before attacking. Then ghoul had some time to think about what he was doing If power armor guy came in shooting right away, I think ghoul woulda killed him
This was actually a really good way to show the strength of power armor while still keeping the audience curious as to what it looks like in the hands of someone more experienced
also wanted to add in the game's lore, the first power armor with wrist jetpacks was actually originated in a yao guai den cave and was created by tech genius Robert House, built with only just scraps. Goes to show that Bethesda and the show really paid attention and homage to the original games
I Am confused then, how did knight titus easley die just with one hit from the bear And also how did the ghoul forget in this fight about the engineering mistake in the armor that made him kill all the knights in episode 8 with just one shot each.
@@goldymelo7083 Agreed. That scene really detracted from the impressiveness of the T-60’s and was just quite silly. Would much rather The Ghoul used the cutting of the lights to cut their power lines like here or damage their fusion cores etc. something that utilised his savvy and experience rather than just every knight having an insta kill spot that The Ghoul can always hit.
@@TfJedisuper The Ghoul also spent more time in those armors than those BoS knights, so it seems possible. Nobody else really knows about this, because nobody else really lived before the bombs fell.
@@czkmeister It’s certainly plausible, just unlikely IMO. The flaw existing and the Ghoul knowing about it is fine (though it’s rather ridiculous that in 219 years the Brotherhood never once became alerted to this weakness), but my issue is that it both forces us to do mental gymnastics to justify why he didn’t one shot Maximus in their first fight, AND it cheapens the T-60 and it’s fearsomeness when they can be taken out with such ease should you know the right spot. To me it just came off as the show trying to quickly write itself out of a corner. It had to remove the immediate threat of the Brotherhood so that Max, Lucy, Hank and the Ghoul could have their confrontations uninterrupted, so it just had The Ghoul activate VATS and clear out 5 or 6 knights in seconds despite having failed to even damage the very inexperienced Max with 6+ shots from the super revolver in ep2. I loved the show but this section seemed very rushed.
@Jean-Pierre333 And the MTs-255 shotgun mod for his little gyrojet gun. I know this because it's one of my favorites, and I'm about to use it for my current run in 4.
when rewatching this scene i was thinking to myself why doesn't the ghoul just shoot below the chest plate like he did later on. then watching it you see him first shoot the armour with his rifle which seems to do less penetration damage. then later as max begins to fly away you actually see the ghoul attempt to shoot him in that weak spot but miss, i just thought that was some crazy attention to detail.
@@guilleperez7493 Again he didn't use the correct ammunition, when he fights the other BOS soldiers he is seen loading different ammunition before engaging them, also he may be toying with Maximus during their first engagement.

🧊THE GOSPEL OF THE WORD OF ALMIGHTY GOD "the last age in which God is saving man from the imminent destruction of this old world" (God incarnated in the mainland of China, which the compatriots in HongKong and Taiwan call the inner-land. When the one from above came to earth, no one in heaven and earth knew about it, because this is the true meaning of God returning to the flesh is not something that anyone is capable of knowing. No matter how great and powerful the work of the Spirit, God remained calm, never betraying Himself. When God ends this phase of His work, everyone will wake up from their long sleep and reverse their past behavior. What He faced were knives and guns and clubs; what He faced and temptation; what He was facing was a crowd of deadly stares. He risks being killed at any moment. However, He came to do the work of perfecting, meaning to do the second part of His work that continued after the work of redemption. In rescuing people from the cross, Jesus only completes the work of redemption; He does not do perfecting work. In the past, this incarnation in the last days may not have been predicted, and thus it laid a foundation for God's coming in the flesh to be even more secret today. Therefore God risked dangers several thousand times greater than those in the Age of Grace to descend to where the great red dragon dwells to do His own work, to pour all His thought and care intoredemption of this group of suffering people, redemption of this group of people who have fallen into the garbage heap. No matter how much human cruelty is, God does not ignore any of it, but He continues to do the necessary work to fulfill the greater assignment given to Him by the Father in heaven. Who among you knows the beauty of God? Who has the ability to understand the will of God the Father? O mankind! When will you be generous in God's heart? He watches, He sits in silence, He waits. Tens of years on earth are like thousands of years in heaven. God Himself is without sin, so why would God be allowed to suffer the same disease as man? God gives man too much, how can man repay God's heart enough?) Almighty God said God incarnated in the mainland of China, which the compatriots in HongKong and Taiwan call the inner---land. When GOD CAME from ABOVE to EARTH, NO ONE in HEAVEN and EARTH KNEW about it, BECAUSE this is the REAL MEANING of GOD'S RETURN in a SECRET WAY.☀️ He has been working and living in a human body for a long time, but no one knew it. To this day, no one recognizes it. Perhaps it will remain an eternal puzzle. At this TIME GOD'S COMING in the FLESH is NOT a THING ANYONE has the ABILITY to KNOW. No MATTER HOW GREAT and POWERFUL the SPIRIT'S WORK is, GOD REMAINS CALM, NEVER BETRAYING HIMSELF. 🙏💐 One might say that this phase of His work seems to take place in the heavenly realm. Although it is completely obvious to everyone, no one recognizes it. When GOD FINISHES this PHASE of His WORK,all will WAKE UP from their LONG DREAM and REVERSE their past BEHAVIOR. 🌷🙏 I REMEMBER GOD SAID ONCE, "Coming into the flesh at this time is like stepping into a tiger's den." What this means is BECAUSE of this CYCLE of GOD'S WORK is the COMING of GOD in the FLESH and BIRTH in the DWELLING PLACE of the GREATRED DRAGON, His COMING to EARTH at this TIME INCLUDING GREATER DANGERS. What He FACED was KNIVES and GUNS and GUNS; what He FACED and TEMPTATION; he FACED MANY PEOPLE with DEADLY LOOKS. He was RISING to be KILL at ANY MOMENT. 🙏🌷 GOD CAME with WRATH. HOWEVER, He CAME to do the WORK of PERFECTION, which MEANS to DO the SECOND PART of His WORK that CONTINUED AFTER the WORK of REDEMPTION. FOR the SAKE of this PHASE of His WORK, GOD DESERVES the ULTIMATE VALUATION and PRECAUTION and USES EVERY IMAGINE way to AVOID the ATTACKS of TEMPTATION, HUMBLY HIDING HIMSELF and NEVER DISCLAIMS His IDENTIFICATION. 🙏🙏😪 In SAVING MAN from the CROSS, JESUS only COMPLETES the WORK of REDEMPTION; He does NOT DO PERFECTION WORK. So only HALF of GOD'S WORK is DONE, FINISHING the WORK of REDEMPTION is only HALF of His ENTIRE PLAN. 🛑 With the BEGINNING of the NEW AGE and the ENDING of the OLD, GOD the FATHER began to CONSIDER the SECOND PART of His WORK and BEGAN to PREPARE IT. IN the PAST, this LAST DAYS INCARNATION may NOT have BEEN FORECASTED, and thus it LAID a FOUNDATION for GOD'S NOW COMING in the FLESH to be MORE SECRET. 🙏 AT the EARTH of DAWN, UNKNOWN by anyone, GOD CAME to EARTH and BEGAN HIS LIFE in the FLESH. PEOPLE don't KNOW this MOMENT. Maybe they are all fast asleep, maybe many watchers are awake waiting, and maybe many are praying silently to God in heaven. YET in the MIDST of ALL this MANY PEOPLE, NOT ONE KNEW that GOD had COME to EARTH. ☀️ GOD WORKED in this WAY so that His WORK can be PERFORMED BETTER and ACHIEVE BETTER RESULTS, and also to AVOID many TEMPTATIONS. As man awoke from his deep slumber, God's work was long over and He was about to leave, bringing to an end His life of wandering and temporary stop on earth. Because God's work required that God act and speak personally, and because man had no way to help, GOD ENDURED SEVERE PAIN to COME to EARTH and DO the WORK Himself. NO man CAN SUBSTITUTE GOD'S WORK. Therefore GOD RISKED DANGERS SEVERAL THOUSAND TIMES WORSE than those in the AGE OF GRACE to DESCENT where the GREAT RED DRAGON DWELLS to DO His OWN WORK, to POUR ALL of His THOUGHT and CARE intovREDEEMING this GROUP of SUFFERING PEOPLE, REDEEMING this GROUP of PEOPLE who have fallen into the GARBAGE HEAP. 🙏😪🙏 Even if NO ONE KNOWS GOD'S EXISTENCE, GOD is NOT ANXIOUS because it is of great benefit to God's work. EVERYONE is SO BAD, so HOW CAN ANYONE TOLERATE GOD'S EXISTENCE? 🙏🌷 THAT is the REASON why GOD is ALWAYS SILENT on EARTH. NO MATTER HOW EXCESSIVE human CRUELTY is, GOD doesn't FORCE any of it, BUT He CONTINUES to DO the NECESSARY WORK to FULFILL the GREATER ASSIGNMENT GIVEN to Him by the FATHER in HEAVEN. 🙏🙏 WHO among you KNOWS the BEAUTY of GOD? WHO SHOWS MORE CONSIDERATION for GOD the FATHER'S BURDEN than his SON does? WHO has the ABILITY to UNDERSTAND the WILL of GOD the FATHER? The SPIRIT of GOD the FATHER is often ANXIOUS in HEAVEN, and His SON on EARTH is OFTEN PRAYING for the WILL of GOD the FATHER, His HEART is greatly ANXIOUS. Does ANYONE KNOW the LOVE of GOD the FATHER for His SON? Does ANYONE KNOW HOW the BELOVED son MISSES GOD the FATHER? 🙏😪 Torn by the separation of heaven and earth, the two continue to stare at each other from afar, side by side in the Spirit. O HUMANITY! WHEN will YOU be GIVEN to GOD'S HEART? When will you UNDERSTAND GOD'S INTENTION? 🙏🙏💐 FATHER and son ALWAYS DEPEND on each other. WHY THEN they SHOULD SEPARATE, ONE in HEAVEN ABOVE and ONE on EARTH BELOW? A FATHER LOVES his son as a SON LOVES his FATHER. Why then should He WAIT with SUCH ANTICIPATION and ANXIETY with such ANXIETY? Although THEY were NOT SEPARATE for LONG, did ANYONE KNOW that the FATHER was so ANXIOUS that LONGING for MANY DAYS and NIGHTS and LONGING for the SPEEDY RETURN of His BELOVED son? He WATCHES, He SITS in SILENCE, He WAITS. 😪🙏😪 ALL of THIS is for the SPEEDY RETURN of His BELOVED son. When will He BE with the SON WHO WALKS on the EARTH AGAIN? Even if once TOGETHER, they WILL be TOGETHER in ETERNITY, HOW CAN HE ENDURE THOUSANDS of DAYS and NIGHTS of SEPARATION, ONE in HEAVEN ABOVE and ONE on EARTH below? TEN YEARS on EARTH are like THOUSANDS of YEARS in HEAVEN. How could GOD the FATHER not WORRY? When GOD CAME to EARTH, He EXPERIENCED MANY CHANGES of the HUMAN WORLD as MAN EXPERIENCED. 😪😪 GOD HIMSELF is INNOCENT, so WHY will GOD SUFFER from the SAME PAIN as MAN? It is not surprising that God the Father is lying deeply to His Son; WHO can UNDERSTAND the HEART of GOD? 🌷 GOD GIVES man a LOT; How CAN a PERSON PAY enough of GOD'S HEART? 😪🌷 BUT the MAN GIVES GOD is TOO SMALL; HOW can GOD NOT WORRY? 😪🙏😪 (note: 📨ang statement is that this is a prophecy. It’s interesting the ghoul didn’t go for the weak points in the joints later in the season to kill him. Perhaps deep down he respected the knight for standing up and being the good guy and decided not to kill him.
Lucy and Maximus both mention specifically that suit has a special tempered lining. It's likely that was to negate the weakness Coop was able to exploit in other suits.
@@mitchjames9350 I remember the first one that got shot was a T60, but off the top of my head, I can't remember about the others. However, timeline wise, when Cooper served in the military the T60 hadn't been invented yet, so that fault must have been on the T45 too, or he woudn't know about it. There is also the possibility that he had gotten his mitts on some armour piercing rounds at the end of the show, and didn't have them during this fight. Or that he was out of action points and couldn't use V.A.T.S. to target the weak spot :p

i love how in this fight, it just showed you that getting Power Armor doesn't mean you're invincible/powerful against other humans. They're extremely slow, heavy and a bit clunky, if the opponent are clever enough they can roast the hell out of you
Dude I just made a comment saying the same. Like aside from the obvious (how the characters look and move), the circumstances are similar as well. The Ghoul/Freddy utilizing the environment, the gloating, the tables turning and realizing you're fucked, one of them being sent flying away.
What was nonsense was the fight where the ghoul beats 3 dudes in PA. Like bruh, they had their guns aimed at him and just let him shoot one of their guys, then didn't even bother using their headlamps to fight him in the dark.
Thumbs down because it looks like a fat kid playing with his cosplay. Seriously all the power armor pieces flopping around obviously made of foam is ridiculous. They should have treated power armor as an extremely dangerous threat and not shown it very much and used cgi in the rare moments it was shown. Major powers like the ncr don't have working power armor, basically only the enclave and bos do. And those groups have a few hundred to a couple thousand people. It's rarity would save on cgi costs.
Cooper casually forgets that he knows T-60's weakness to let the audience know that he's actually in danger when at no point he actually was and could've killed Max without any problems whatsoever.
I know very poor writing. Like how conveniently the three main characters keep running into one another or how the vault they ran into happened to have a scavenging team that picked up the power armor.
In that scene at the last episode he actually uses specialized ammo to kill these Knights. Rewatch the scene. I think he didn´t have that ammo at that point to kill him (Max) rightaway.
The show makes it clear in a later episode that the Ghoul knows exactly where the armor is weakest on a T-60. This whole scene he’s just expending his ammo and running around to mess with “Titus” / Maximus.
Why would he "mess with maximus"? The show never portays him as a clown who messes around during a job. The guy has no money, and no "anti-feral" drug. He has every motive to get the job done fast. His desperation for the drug was why he left his mission to go sell Lucy's organs. Why waste precious time toying with Maximus? This is just bad writing.

First off: bein' a ghoul don't make ya bulletproof. You're just as dead as any man if somebody puts a .45 through ya. Second: that gyrojet handcannon does not canonically exist. Nor does Max's repeater pistol. Third: T-60c don't have in-built jumpjets. You want that, well, too bad. Jetpacks aren't canon either. Fourth: no power armor helmet of any model has a movable faceplate. That would compromise not only the integrity of the helmet, but the built-in instrumentation. Fifth: realistically, getting hit by a servoassisted mechanical fist would be instant death or massive and debilitating impact trauma. Sixth: he really does pilot that suit like a fucking amateur, and it's revolting. Seventh: suit's not tall enough. Eighth: you do not close the gap on a suit of power armor unless you want to die. And finally, ninth: this is a gross misrepresentation of power armor *PERIOD,* and it disgusts and offends me to my very core. Sergeant Dornan is turning in his grave, and Elders Roger Maxson and Owen Lyons are plotting vengeance from the afterlife.
First off: no one really knows how ghouls fully work, at this point they can change what they want. He is also heavily armored under that trench but whatever. 2: You know power armor can be modded right? The BOS can invent upgrades to power armor. 3: They can if you mod them. Also fallout 4 is a canon game and you can build jet packs. So not only are jet packs canon, you can literally use one. 4: once again, any suit of power armor can be modded how ever they please. 5: realistically, you wouldn’t be able to survive getting shot in the head twice (didn’t stop fallout) realistically, you couldn’t built a giant nuclear powered robot that throws nukes, and realistically you couldn’t be ghoulifed. Fallout not being realistic!? How dare they!? 6: okay, then you get into a fully suit of power armor that takes full training and experience to pilot and let’s see how you operate it. Pretty easy to say something looks terrible even though (much like him) you have zero training as well. 7: who unironically gives a fuck this much? OH NO! Absolutely NOTHING that which you’re saying here makes any sense as you’re just crying HARD right now that not everything is 1 for 1 like in the game, that’s NOT how adaptions work, and all the best adaptions know what to change that works well within a medium as you’re not supposed to make a show or a movie feel like a game, that’s the problem for previous video game adaptations which has done.

@@Jean-Pierre333 I think the lining was energy one, not fixing the flaw in the chest plate. Tempered steel was not mention, I think it was an underneath lining.
I like how his revolver is basically shooting gyrojets. Which was an experimental new type of ammo and gun they were playing with in the 50s and 60s. Instead of bullets it fires primer activated rockets that actually pick up speed as they exit the barrel. Pretty cool stuff
That pretty much sums up how useful power armor is in game too… Bwahaha. I hear people talking this series down a lot but from what I saw in this first clip it looks awesome.
A few episodes later, the ghoul will say that these steel suits have a weak point, which will allow him to deal with several of these knights. It's a shame he didn't know about this weak point in the episode.
If you think about it, it shows how lenient he is with him. Remember towards the end he knows about the armor plating. He never shot for it. Such an amazing and character development
I'm guessing that, since they designed an actual physical costume for the power armor in scenes like this, they had to do a workaround for the stunt actors to do the scene with ease. I would love to see a lore-accurate jetpack but I can understand why the showrunners have to retool things for the production crew.

Yeah, combat definitely isn't this show's strong suit. I feel like using CGI to animate the Power Armor might've made the fights look better. It would've had its own issues and we wouldn't have had the costume PA but it probably would've improved the fight.
I guarantee people would have been more pissy about them using CGI and they would have tore every little bit out of it on how bad it is just like they did to the prequels in star wars. Honestly this shit ain't that bad and in the games the suit isn't some fast moving suit it's slow and tough.
