I had a dream recently where I got to meet my younger self. I asked her if she recognized me and she didn’t. I got to pick her up and we looked in the mirror together. She recognized me then and seemed very excited and happy when she said “you’re me!” I know it was just a dream but I found it incredibly therapeutic. The idea that a little me would be happy with who I’ve become.

I cried thinking about this just earlier tonight :’) it’s hard to think that your younger self is proud or ok with the person you are now but it’s ok because we are who we are and we’ve done our best

My dad got extremely mad at me and yelled "Why cant you just turn back to when you were younger and happier" and locked me in my room, I still ask mysrlf that every day, and ive gone through alot, ive never even told my parents about any of the trauma ive lived through. So this song just puts me on a who new level of relation, Thank you❤

This one resonates with me a lot because when I was a kid I swore to myself I would never grow up or change, and I really did mean it. And now every time I feel like I do just that, I feel like I'm betraying my younger self. I hope she likes me, I feel like she'd at least think my art is cool, if nothing else.

I love how raw your songs are; I love the juxtaposition of really upbeat music with otherwise usually heavy vibes, because I feel that's a very human way to go through life, like, poking fun and goofing off about things that actually make us really sad or insecure. And even if they're not really sad, like, they're still such serious emotions, like things we hold sacred, and we kinda goof off about them anyway. Idk, it just feels like the layers come together. It's a good little piece of the human experience. Thanks for sharing your songs and yourself with everyone, I can tell you put a lot of heart into it, and it's always really good!

I’m happy to report that after years of wishing I was like I was when I was younger I realized that I was miserable when I was younger and was so good at denying it that I didn’t even realize until my inner child annoyed the hell out of me and I actually listened for once (goddamn that’s the longest sentence I ever wrote). I’m so happy I am not the person I used to be because my good qualities were abused because I didn’t know how to protect myself.

Some days I still feel like the kid who came home from school crying because she couldn’t write her name correctly, some days I feel like the teenager abandoned by “friends”, and some days I’m myself. You may feel disappointed in yourself, or feel that little you would be upset with where you are but you know something? You’re still growing, that mosaic is still changing. This is legit true, well for my case.

Whenever you feel compassion for your younger self, know that future you is looking upon present you with the same compassion. We are always growing and changing and no version of us is perfect nor completely terrible. Show yourself the same compassion to yourself now, the same as future you will be.

I've been in the exact same shoes of "25 years old and wondering how i ended up this way" but it all turns out okay sometimes, ya just gotta keep looking for the things you did right.

I think that rather then being disappointed, anyones younger self would be more excited and curious on what you are doing, rather then what you didn’t do. Thinkmof how curious kids are and how they always ask questions. Idk I’d like to think of it positively. Amazing song as alway💕💕
