Let me tell you a story about a woman who stood up to the mob. (This is not an endorsement of anything she has said on social media, it's simply an observation on how she's been treated.)

I have to say, after your long and hard praise of the expanse, it is full of stroong women in position of leadership and I'm sick and tired of this narrative🤢🤢🤢 a red pilled Scotish guy like yourself is a blue pilled fool in Eastern Europe
Here are a couple of phrases that used to exist: "Agree to disagree" "I may not agree with what you say, but I'll defend your right to say it" I miss them.
@@chrish8111 Indeed. We're not meant to speak for ourselves, let alone think. So, just be a good little slave and eat it all up. I have a lot to say about this cruel existence, but alas, cannot utter a word lest I'll be be censored and removed from the face of the Earth. This is partly why I play video games all the time. Escapism feels like the only way to cope with reality.
The amazing thing is she is exactly what the kingdom proclaims to want: a strong woman. Physically and ideologically she stands up for herself. And she’s not fake. She’s a real fighter in the real world. But that’s her undoing: she is truly, authentically strong, without the kingdom’s control, not playing by the kingdom’s rules. And that’s a no-no. She’s outside the kingdom narrative, and so she must be destroyed. But she won’t be destroyed, because she has the most powerful thing of all: a mind of her own.
It baffles me that people like her exist and fit the role of “strong, likable, female character” perfectly, yet somehow everyone claiming to actually want one, gets pissed when one actually shows up. Fucking hypocrites.
Non-fans couldn't get her fired even though they tried. Mention the holocaust however, not even in like a bad way, and it's game over. I wonder why that is?
It's disgusting, you make comment on social media that someone finds offensive, you lose your job. You abuse your spouse, falsely claim you are victim and go on a media campaign to ruin your victim's life and no one says a word. I despair for this world
@@SouthpawSatch if you felt the same about Brie Larson, then cool. Personally, I won't give Ms Larson a second of my time or a dime of my money. If you supported boycotting Ms Larson, then you're being inconsistent to behave differently for Ms Carana. And yes I think Amber Heard should be fired and I won't be going to see any movies she's in either. But the circumstances are different. Ms heard appears to be a violent psychopath who lied in court. Ms Larson and Ms Carana both said stupid things offensive to a large portion of the mass Market.

Can you imagine if someone made a movie and thanked the Nazi holocaust camps? They would be canceled immediately but Disney does essentially the same thing and gets away with it
I’m pretty sure it was Shikamru that said he prefers a girl with some meat on her bones, and not a skinny prude obsessed with staying slim. Simce I completely agree with that mindset, Gina’s muscles and larger build would definitely be an improvement over all these twigs in superhero costumes
If Hollywood ever wanted a truly strong female actress/character who is more than capable of holding her own with the boys, then they royally fucked up when they ousted Gina Carano.
@@anthonyugarte1072 Is it denial or saying the cure is worse than the disease? And you’re defending a company that thanked a dictatorship openly persecuting minorities. Which is worse?

Honestly, this was told in such a fantastic way, I wouldn't mind seeing it animated, and depicting the Drinker as a tavern drunk in medieval times telling this epic tale of triumph and tragedy. Dang though, if only it could just be in medieval times and not happening in this day and age.
Disney: **Fires Gina for an actually disturbingly based Holocaust comparison.** Also Disney: **Films live action Mulan at a literal Concentration Camp.**

There's a saying in Telugu language "Pichodi chetilo rayi" which literally translates to "stone in the hands of an insane person". Social media in the hands of wokes, SJW, drama queens is exactly this.
This is what needs to be pushed into the spotlight. Make Disney live up to its own book of rules. They refuse to fire Kennedy because ovaries, call them out over firing Carano despite ovaries. I don't agree with the rule, but it was Disney that made it.
@@ehellstrom7127 I guess you haven’t heard. Kathleen’s contract is up as president later this year. I never thought I would be saying those words out loud.
Being a strong woman doesn't magically make you exempt from criticism. She was strong in the same way Trump was - too reckless and hot-blooded for her own good.
I can't believe for a year now after not looking into this (because I typically don't care about Twitter drama) I was told she was a holocaust denier and I just simply said "oh ok" and reluctantly agreed without doing any prior research. I feel so bad for her, truly one of the best actress' not in performance but in heart, I know people have said this already but people should genuinely look to women like her instead of Brie Larson. Not even joking right now after seeing exactly what she said and hearing about her story I not only feel I've learned a valuable lesson but also I feel inspired by her story. That valuable lesson being perspective and a small amount of research matters a hell of a lot more then the blind dogmatic view of an individual. Also I'm very inspired (not to do ufc or acting xD) but to become more healthy and stronger and work for your goals no matter what people may think in terms of how achievable they are. Disney lost an amazing actress.
the best part is that post dosnt deny the holocaust, but actually tries to show a very important aspect of how it happened. so the irony is that she was more cultured than those who called her uncultured
Thank you for telling this tale. I've seen her in C&C, F&F6, Deadpool. But I had no idea her name, nor the beliefs she held, stood for, and fought for. I'm NOT a conservative, but I fully respect this woman, and I hope time will be kind to her and her family. I hope she gets a much better job than under the disgusting Kathleen Kennedy.
that's just it though, as far as i know she has never expressed a single actual conservative belief at least at the time of her canceling. really the only thing she did..was not allow herself be bullied into doing something. thats it. and that ofc was not allowable. which is why its so fucking easy for anyone that isnt part of the loony bin to support her. she is pretty damn apolitical, kind and generous to all...and just wont be bullied. all things that well for people who are not part of the psycho mob, are good things worth defending and appreciating. good times we live in
I realize it's much later, but if you can find it, check out Haywire from 2011. It's far from her best work, and I think they dubbed her voice, but the fights really good. Especially her and Michael Fassbender... actually come to think of it, I'm pretty sure Ewan McGregor is in it. Weird.
Hm. After Star Wars, Dr Who.... and one more video I can't put my finger on now. Anyway, the best one was at ending of Predator "Go away.... anytime...."
@I spray water for CASH I think that if America went to war tomorrow it would almost definitely be to overthrow yet another democratically elected government or to secure oil, as they have done for decades.

Yes, not comparing Republicans on Twitter to fucking Holocaust victims. Are you saying it’s OK to believe that and that Disney should endorse her views?
Well, she compared the systematic murder of 6 million people, who were murdered for the heritage they cant choose, to people being told they are assholes for haveing asshole opinions. I mean she can think for herself. But if thats the conclusion she arrives at after thinking, well maybe her train of thought is questionable? Freedom of speech is does not mean others have to give you a platform.
When this happened I knew someone who believed what happened to her was right; believed that they'd read her tweets and they were "that" bad. I read what I could find, I never saw anything that seemed racist at all. Firing her for a personal opinion stated on her own time using her own resources was wrong. As for my acquaintance - well, turned out she's kind of a control freak.
When she kept comparing the MAGA movement to victims of the holocaust, is what turned people off. She deleted a lot of her comments after. I don't think she should have been fired for it, but Disney frankly didn't want to deal with the backlash. I have also been hearing there was budgeting and internal issues as to why she was fired, and it wasn't that much about her tweets after all.

Welcome to the Club. I've been anti-Disney for 20 years. If you really want to hate them, look into the "yellow dress" story, or just any of the rampant sexual subliminals they have fed to children since ol' Walt first drew Mickey. How about the Disney/ABC/Epstein connection? Oh my...there's SO MUCH to hate them for.
Deleted my Twitter last year and it's made stories about just how big of a dumpster fire it all is much funnier. However, Facebook has been more difficult to sever all ties from because I unfortunately still need to use it to keep in touch with certain ppl. My usage has dropped significantly still though and I hope a better alternative comes around soon. :P
I like your reviews and critiques, and most of what you point out is absolutely spot on, but there is extreme irony in constantly complaining about the injection of politics into entertainment while you constantly inject politics into your own broadcasts. Gina Carano's comments were both disgusting and absolutely untrue. Why are you defending her nonsensical garbage? Lucasfilms had every right to fire her, and she deserves the scorn she got for what she said.

Very cute script for this video, but this is not some sweeping tale of good and evil. Gina Carano's great at what she does, but she said stupid shit. Worse, she said stupid shit to the whole world. Also, try not to say stupid shit.
Your stuff is always great, and well worth the watch whether I happen to agree with your review or not. I really enjoy this channel, and I only underscore that so my next statement lands properly. This is on a different level, in a number of different ways. Entertaining and clever while making a point that deserves to be made without droning on. Bravo.
