It would appear that David Bowie gave me unrealistic expectations about the Goblin King

Kudos to TARDIS for correctly localising an alien song to English language without losing anything in translation & keeping the rhyme.

At first, I was like, "OK, what are these nasty critters gonna do with that baby?" But as soon as I said that, the lyrics showed up, and I was like, "Oh, thanks for clearing that up."

“We can dine 3 days at least” …that is the funniest line, given that they clearly can’t feed they many mouths plus the goblin king for even a second let alone 3 days 😂

"..not a myth hes an actual thing." It seems that invoking superstition at the edge of the universe has made a lot of myths come true. Like bigeneration and goblin kings.

Years from now when a certain child learns they were on Doctor Who as a baby, I hope we all get to see their reaction when they watch this!

Okay but if you think about it, the logistics of goblin nutrition are mind-boggling. ONE baby feeds an entire court of goblins for 3 whole days? You could feed legions of goblins with a small nursery!

Fun Fact: I've heard that exact line " He can eat me, he makes me swoon" (paraphrased) come from more than a few young ladies and women in the 80's, referencing The Goblin King, Jareth. I found that addition humorous.

I've also thought about this, evidently the Goblin King was the only one who was going to physically eat the baby, which implies to me that the rest of the goblins are linked to him on some level. He eats, the rest of them experience the taste and nourishment, despite not having actually eaten anything.

15's delivery of "Amazing" at the sight of a baby getting spiced up to be eaten by goblins is what convinced me that he will be a great incarnation of the doctor.

If this become Christmas number 1. A song about babies being eaten and money going to Children in need is why it's iconic.

Dangit, Whovians have enough difficulty trying to convince everyone they're normal members of society. You know, putting aside the fact that it's literally about eating babies, the song is catchy as hell. Very swanky. Like, the decent human being in me says "NO EATING BABIES!" but the ears go "SONG SOUND GOOD, MUST SNAP FINGERS TO THE BEAT!" I'M SO CONFLICTED!

I was NOT expecting a kickass lounge singer number about eating babies on my bingo card.

It's odd how the goblings are singing about eating the baby themselves, but appear to intend to feed her wholesale to the king right after. Implying that either goblins share digestive system somehow, or the King was going to feed them mother bird style.
