Dude...there are players in the NBA who dream of making 1000 three-pointers in a CAREER. This guy made almost that many in the past THREE SEASONS. I challenge ANYONE to find a greater shooter in NBA history than this guy. He is literally changing the way basketball will be played for the next 10-15 years or so. And anytime you can change conventional wisdom that's been around for the past 5+ years the way Steph has with the 2K franchise, you know you've got something special on your hands. It's really unfair the way he dominates the game. It's like it's effortless for him at times.
+Turtle No disrespect to any of those guys. They're some of the greatest to ever shoot a basketball. But all the players you just named, and a few that you didn't, have one thing in common: they're all set shooters. None of those guys could create shots like Steph can. And NONE of them even had anything CLOSE to his range.
Malcolm Richardson he literally changed the game, the literal NBA 2k games.. steph came along and now it's perfectly natural to pull up from 35+ feet out and make it consistently.
How fast people forget....curry is the greatest shooter of all time and one of the best pg ever and now is getting hate for no reason is just absurde, i guess is true the more you are great the most you are hated (see lebron)
timothy leiws what can’t I prove that I stated with documented articles and data? Curry was 2nd fiddle to Monta Ellis is a fact for 3 consecutive seasons and never made an all star team until his 5th season. It’s a fact the nba competition committee changed all of the rules to increase scoring league wide and the commissioner of the nba went on record recently saying the rule changes produced our intended effect of increasing scoring. All these triple doubles, perimeter players getting rebounds, etc. are a result of rule changes on defense, floor spacing, stretch bigs and small ball. These are facts that are documented by everyone. This shit is only impressive to someone that doesn’t know what is behind it. Anyone can score today. That’s the purpose of the game score a lot of points without defensive resistance to bring casual fans around. It’s a business.
@@kristion9774 First of all if it was that easy then why is Curry the best point guard in NBA and why is he a top 5 player? Secondly What does him going to Davidson have to do with anything (What it proves is that College Scouts don't know shit)? Thirdly for a player who was "second fiddle" averaging his first year 17 point 6 assists 4 rebounds and 2 steel on 46/43/88 percentage play 80 games seem like a future superstar to me. Second year 19 points 6 assists 4 rebounds 1.5 steels on 48/44/90 seems even better play 74 games miss some game. Third year year got injured and only played 26 games. Fourth year 23 points 7 assists 4 rebounds 2 steels on a 45/45/90 still seems great to me so idk what your problem with Curry is but from what I am seeing he was destined to be a superstar and HOF. BTW with what you just said then I guess Wilt isn't great either.
@Maurice Thomas Let's deal with some evidence based FACTS here. From 2000 - present, the season that drew the HIGHEST ratings (Nielsen's ratings) was 2011 (3.0). The HIGHEST rated season from the 90s drew a 5.0 Nielsen's rating ('96). In fact from 1990-99 the avg rating for the NBA was 3.0. From 2000 - present, it's BARELY 2.2. So you might wanna re-think that myopic view of yours kiddo.
@@than3500 Either you didn't read my response to the poster Maurice Thomas, or you just didn't comprehend it. Nevertheless, I'll restate it for you: From 2000 - present the reg season that drew the HIGHEST marks (Nielsen's ratings) was 2011 (3.0). The HIGHEST rated reg season from the 90s however, drew a 5.0 Nielsen's rating ('96). In fact from 1990-99 the avg rating for the NBA was 3.0. But from 2000 - present it's BARELY been 2.2. So I ask you the question: if 2016 allegedly was "by far the greatest reg season of all time" (as he stated), then why did it have such a LOW RANKING in ratings? In other words: why were there CONSISTENTLY more people watching the games (reg season & playoffs) in the 90s (on average) then there's consistently been in this era? Why did the 90s (on average) consistently field higher ratings per season?
GREW UP IN MJ ERA AND SINCE MJ HAVE NOT SEEN A PLAYER UNTIL CURRY THAT COULD HANDLE AND SHOOT THIS GOOD BRINGING NBA BACK HATE IT OR LOVE IT BEST SHOOTER WHO ELSE CAN POP THOSE 3s LIKE STEPH !!!!
stephon peebles its virtually impossible with KD and boogie. As much as I love KD the only thing that irks me is that we don't get to see lightshows from Steph every night like we used to
6:13 I heard ppl saying this was bad D by Roberson. haha the shot Steph hit was a complete Joke he was 1 foot pass the half court line, Simply Amaazing
Lmao exactly people try to compare this to Bron joining bosh and wade. I’m like yea they’re top players but there is no way in hella Bosh and Wade lose 9 games in ONE ENTIRE SEASON.
Blaiyan Children? That's cute. The fact is we were going through a new golden age of basketball with golden states 73-9 season and Stephen curry having a season like no one had before. When kd was on the thunder the west was actually really competitive and the rivalry between gs and the cavs was great. After kd went to golden state the west was no longer competitive and the cavs were no match. But hey if you want to watch uncompetitive basketball that's all you buddy.
Crowd's of people standing by the sewer pipe is Prescott bush illegitimate son but still loved and the Simpsons in Chicago cubs play the reason and said that was in my love me up and she was OK n princess part
As skip says, they gotta find to stop stephen Curry or his gonna ruined somebody career. 2016 final was absolutely rigged! the officiating from the referees are so biased they rigged the game because it was the only way to stop warriors from winning back to back championship. League wasn't ready to take on curry as the new face of NBA that time because of lebron & because Of lebron contract by Nike. Officials suspended Green when their about to win which give a chance for the cavs to come back, then later on biased calls for curry which lead him to frustration which he thrown his mouth piece & got ejected which again give the cavs a chance to come back. 3-1 joke is over because lebum is now 1-3 against warriors & now where is he will hahaha his out for playoff run while Curry & warriors still dominating the league now who got the last laughed? Curry ruined his legacy as choosen one because he can't be the goat now, warriors ruined the cavs by splitting up & not being in the playoff haha i wish english is my first language so i could talk on & on.
+raul ramirez As much as I love the Warriors, I would have to agree with you. Things like suspensions (Green) and injuries (Bogut and Iggy) shouldn't be excuses. Of course if they were healthy and free of fouls the Finals would likely have a different ending, but that wasn't the case and now it's history. Congrats again to the Cavs; they fought very well...but Warriors 16-17 World Champs (hopefully 😁)
All these people that said curry needed KD more y’all are wrong cause really if you think about it KD needed them cause they was winning with out him tbh but they do need KD to win more rings but they would still reach the finals without him I’m just not sure if they would win it without him 💯
If warriors draft lamelo instead of wisemen, they beat the lakers at the play in and beat the suns to face clippers in conference finals. That would have been fun. Wisemen good but needs time to learn the system.
I wish KD stayed on the thunder. I'm an OKC fan and i also really like the Warriors and curry and I think both teams are better without KD on the Warriors and the rivalry between the teams would've been great
I'm coming back to this there 1-3 with steph curry it's more like we're would the warriors be without KD and klay 1 lottery pick lolz and not making the play offs
@Raphael Josef Nuguid Because it's funny lol The warriors were on the verge of becoming the greatest team of all time that year. They beat the regular season record set by Michael Jordan's bulls in the 90s, something most people never thought they would witness in their lifetime. They had Steph Curry, the greatest shooter of all time, who was having a ferocious MVP season. They had the best shooting backcourt of all time with Klay Thompson, who many people consider the second best shooter of all time. They made it all the way to the finals and were up 3 games to 1. And yet... they squandered the opportunity in humiliating fashion. In other words, they choked big time. It was the only time in NBA history that a team blew a 3-1 lead in the finals. I don't care if the warriors win 5 more chips, that still has to sting.
@Raphael Josef Nuguid Nothing wrong with a little friendly rivalry and banter. As a Lakers fan I actually respect and appreciate the greatness of this warriors dynasty.
Certainly not the best ever despite the record, because they lost the Finals, after leading 3-1... Talk about blowing it all away... 😢🏀 I really felt heartbroken for the Warriors, even as a Celtics fan 😔🍀
@@darrylturner3731 it was said back in 1995-96 and rightly so, when the Bulls set the previous record "72-10 Don't Mean a Thing Without the Ring" 🏀 the Warriors couldn't get the job done, even thought I am a Celtics fans and have nothing against them or the Bulls.
It's kind of hilarious to me how skip went from this to trashing Steph every chance he had these days. He can't go one Steph segment without mentioning the 2016 finals, which now cancels out everything else he's ever done.
HERE'S THE PROBLEM WITH STEPH SHOOTING THOSE 3'S. WHEN THOSE SHOTS DON'T DROP THEN THERE IS NO OFFENSE. THAT'S WHAT HAPPENED IN THE FINALS AGAINST CLEVELAND WHEN THEY WERE UP 3-1. SUDDENLY STEPH WAS OFF BECAUSE THEY UPPED THE DEFENSE ON HIM AND KLAY WAS OFF. SO, WITH STEPH BEING DEFENDED AND KLAY NOT DROPPING THEY PERISHED AFTER BEING UP 3-1. THEY SET THE BEST RECORD FOR THE REGULAR SEASON WITH A 73-9 MARK AND ALL THAT MEANS IS THEY HAD THE BEST REGULAR SEASON RECORD. EVERY YEAR SOMEBODY HAS THE BEST REGULAR SEASON RECORD. AND ON A HISTORIC POINT THEY HAVE ONE MORE WIN THAN ANYONE ELSE IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME, JUST ONE MORE WIN, BECAUSE THE OTHER TEAM THE 72-10 BULLS WON THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP. YOU CAN'T BE THE GREATEST TEAM EVER IF YOU LOSE IN THE FINALS AFTER SETTING THE BEST RECORD. WHAT THAT MEANS IS YOU WERE THE BEST IN THE WESTERN CONFERENCE BUT THE TEAM FROM THE EASTERN CONFERENCE WAS BETTER BECAUSE THEY WALKED AWAY WITH THE CHAMPIONSHIP. BEST TEAM EVER, NO BEST SEASON RECORD EVER, YOU HAVE TO WIN THE CHAMPIONSHIP TO EVEN VIA FOR THAT TITLE. STEVE KERR SHOULD HAVE BEEN FIRED AFTER THAT SEASON( OF COURSE YOU HIRE HIM RIGHT BACK, STEVE IS A GREAT COACH) BBECAUSE HE FELL INTO THE MIND SET THAT CURRY'S 3'S WOULD SAVE THE GAME AND WHEN IT DIDN'T HE WASN'T PREPARED WITH ANY OTHER OFFENSIVE SCHEME. KERR HAS BEEN COACHED BY SOME OF THE GREATEST COACHES IN THE HISTORY OF THE GAME. ROBERT LUTHER OLSEN BETTER KNOWN AS THE ARIZONA LEGEND LUTE OLSON WAS STEVE'S COLLEGE COACH IN COLLEGE. THE GREAT COTTON FITZSIMMONS WAS HIS COACH AT PHEONIX WHEN HE CAME INTO THE LEAGUE FROM 88-89. THE LEGENDARY LENNY WILKINS WHEN HE WENT TO CLEVELAND FROM 89-92. THE ALL TIME WINNINGEST CHAMPIONSHIP COACH IN THE HISTORY OF THE NBA PHIL JACKSON FROM 93-98 AND THE BRILLIANCE OF THE ECCENTRIC SAN ANTONIO SPURS GREG POPOVICH FROM 98-2001. ALL THOSE COACHES AND ALL STEVE DID WAS RELIED ON STEPH'S 3. THAT'S WHY I WOULD HAVE FIRED HIM, BUT AGAIN I WOULD HAVE HIRED HIM BACK 5 MINUTES LATER. THAT'S A GREAT RECORD BUT AGAIN ONLY ONE MORE WIN THAN THE NEXT GUY BUT WITH NO CHAMPIONSHIP! A SWEET SEASON WITH A BAD AFTER TASTE.
Back to back unanimous mvp ... Ur lebron? No cuz he is the only can do that .... U think of lebron have same height with curry he can do that things ? Dude common did lebron can do what curry does with just that height and body? Think it bro tsss..
They went 73-9, but couldn't win the title. There three key players played pretty much the whole season. The Bulls went 72-10 with Rodman missing 18 games. Next season the Bulls went 69-13 with Rodman missing 27 games. Now imagine what their record would be if Rodman didn't miss games... especially their 69-13.
Love coming back to this after Steph looked like a 5th grader in the finals and proved to everyone who he really was. The dickriding was real. No player in NBA history was ever dick ridden by ESPN and their talking heads more than Curry was last year. I can name a handful of Jordan seasons better than Steph's last year if you want to go by stats. Plus MJ crushes Steph in advanced stats. And the defensive player of the year comment was just icing on the cake. That literally made me roll on the ground in laughter
Abdi Don Wrong. 22, 4 and 3. 30 turnovers and 26 assists. If any other great player in history had those stats in the finals they would be ripped to shreds. But Curry is the golden boy. He's untouchable. Nobody would dare tell the truth about him
Lebron has been dethroned 😂😂😂 now they look dumb asf.Curry has been playin phenomenal but what about the nba finals???He gets such a pass. But whenever we point how bad steph plays during the nba finals we become "haters".Cuz if the warriors won they would be all over annd curry literally said he didnt need surgery and skip was still tryna give him a pass.
remember how they fucked up lebron after that mavs series? he played very very bad by his standards, but they destroyed him. in every facet of his game, you are still hearing about it. steph got one segment where they said he didn´t play well and thats it.
+Lucas Orint Typical lebron haters always bringin up the past😂😂 nba saved draymond but what about game 6 and 7? And draymond was acting dumb and lebron dropped 41 the next game what yours excuse?Oh i know it was rigged. When in the last three minutes if game 7 both teams missed a combined 9 field goal attempt and steph didnt show up.And the nba "helped lebron" but the cavs would have won last year if kyrie and love were healthy. Smh lebron haters will do anything to stunt him😂
